center, katie. >> great to be inside this noon, that is for sure because we have a very soaking rain that continues to pummel parts of the area. southe of philadelphia we will start off by taking another glimpse of the storm scan, a little more of the localized zoom, very evident where heaviest rain has fallen. new castle and kent county and across delaware bay into parts of the salem, cumberland county. as we zero in on the heaviest rain falling locally we have got not only lightening strikes coming in here across parts of the salem county as well and cumberland but also highest rainfall rates. thinks doppler indication that we are seeing in that dark maroon shade aired use, the part you see in the bull's eye in the center of the screen. they are as high as two and three-quarters inches per hour that is definitely leading to flash flooding in these areas. not saying that little pocket will be over you for an hour but it will cause problems, as we try to travel through these areas. just blinding downpours. in addition flash flood

warning is posted in that maroon shaded area until 2:45. to the south of that a flood advisory also until 2:45, flood advisory just north of that expiring over the next hour. the flash flood watch we will also mention that is more broad, it extends all the way in southeastern most pennsylvania, so what do you need to know? just expect you will need patients here, folks. heaviest rain does fall through the south ande from philadelphia to the southe but that does not mean you are immune off to the north and west. later in the show we will talk about when this gets out but how much of the this rain will get left behind and time out heaviest batches of it late will later on, joe? >> katie, see you soon, thank you. heart breaking day in philadelphia and across the area, one of the philadelphia 's most beloved athletes passed away sunday. >> darren daulton loss his battle with brain cancer. our pat gallen remembers life and career of the ball player so many called, dutch. >> well hit to deep left

center field but that ball is outta here. >> reporter: nickname dutch darren dolt on spent parts of the 14 season in the major league 13 plus with the phillies and half season with the marlins where he finally won a world series. all-star catcher in 1992, 93, and 95, dutch daulton taking took a beating behind the place and during nine knee seasons during his career. >> grand slam, grand slam. grand slam home run, darren daulton. >> reporter: but he was best known as undisputed leader of the 93 phillies squad that won 97 games, and shock the braves , to win the nl pennant n2010 dutch was put on the phillies wall of fame but in 2013 daulton was diagnosed with glioblastoma highly malignant form of brain cancer after treatment he announced in 2015 he was cancer free. on sunday night, the phillies announce that had daulton passed away at age 55. phillies chairman, bill giles, said in a statement through the phillies, quote darren was

a true leader of men. fill boys not have gone to the 93 world series without his leadership. chairman david montgomery added quote all of us at phillies are saddened to hear of darren's passing. from the day that we drafted him until today, he constantly earned our respect and admiration as both a player and person. dutch was truly one of a kind and we will dearly miss him. darren daulton was 55 years old. and that was our pat gallen reporting. tributes are pouring in for darren daulton from baseball fans and those who played and loved the game. >> alycia nieves joins us live from citizens bank park in south philadelphia where phillies just wrapped up a press conference. good afternoon, alycia. >> reporter: good afternoon, joe and rahel. phillies chairman with former players at the presser, reacted the same way so many fans have already reacted, everyone is extremely saddened by this death, of darren daulton. now all-star catcher who played over 1100 games with the phillies was really seen as a legend of sorts by so

many, and it certainly is an inspiration by those who love this team. >> want to meet me, you know, on a friday, you know, end up, having a pass away, because he was such a good, good, great, you know, ball player and everything. >> particularly, it brings up memories from that 93 team, and, you know, i was in first grade at the time. dutch was my favorite player. inspired me to play catcher in the little league. so, you know, very sad. >> reporter: and daulton was certainly a inspiration to seem fans but to so many players. the way that his former teammates spoke about him in the presser a little while ago it gave you a sense of the magnitude of this loss for the franchise, for players, and for baseball. >> there is a lot of good times. you wanted to be around the ballpark and wanted to be around him. he was infectious with the way he treated people and way he went about his business. >> darren wouldn't let us fail , you know.

welcome back, this is aftermath of a rare late summer tornado in tulsa, oak at ef2 twister with wind up to 135 miles an hour, touched down earlier sunday morning, without warning. authorities say that more than two dozen people were treated for injuries at area hospitals , and national weather service and tulsa officials say they are re evaluating their protocols after failing allegedly to

at lee the next couple of hours. i will time this out more specifically for you in the next couple of minutes but for now going out for lunch, this is a day you order in. if you don't to have go out i would advise not because we will and are already again, seeing some flash flooding. let's switch it back overtake a look at storm scan three next where it is evident where heaviest rain is falling through delaware, del marva peninsula in general and cut ago cross that delaware bay in southwestern, new jersey. this is the zone, right here that will get hit the hardest, is there more rain obviously also on the way, so training right over the same spot, that is why we're concern you will see additional inches over wharf seen in these areas. not immune to the heavy rain across poconos, lehigh valley but will not get hit as hard as we are in the southern half of the area. this is all riding in along a frontal boundary this does get on it of here come tomorrow but in the meantime, how much are we talking about. philadelphia area in general one to 2 inches is general

expectations, poconos, upward of one and a half, which is no picnic but it is not two and a half locally higher amounts you will see through southern new jersey and delaware. again there could easily be up to 4 inches if not more after what we have already seen and still waits in the wings here for these area. so yeah, that is where we will see bull's eye of the heaviest rain and other problem here, is the fact that we have already had a lot of rain from recent systems. so that ground is saturated, soil just can't soak much more up, you will see run off as a result of this thankfully not too much in the way of wind driven storms but a couple thunderstorms coming with it. if you had sunshine earlier in the day places like williamstown in new jersey. meanwhile let's jump forward take you in time step through the course of the afternoon. that rain still comes down heavily right through three or four or 5:00 p.m. early p.m. drive is not looking good. come six or 7:00 it looks like that rain will ease up but we will have ponding, spray from vehicles. that is what will lead to the problems for second half of
