good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i'm anne-marie green. u.s. air force planes have arrived in the territory of guam. the deployment comes after new threats by north korea against guam. yesterday president trump issued a chilling warning to pyongyang over its nuclear program. and there's new information about the north's ability to launch a successful nuclear strike against the u.s. hena doba is in new york with the latest. good morning, hena. >> good morning, anne-marie. they're finding themgs in a dangerous war of words between the u.s. and north korea. pyongyang responded by threatening potential force against the island. >> there is no change in the threat level resulting from north korea events.

>> guam president is addressing nervous res dentds. i've reached out to the white house this morning. an attack or threat on guam is a threat or attack on the united states. they have said that america will be defended. >> pyongyang's threats are part of a dangerous ramping up rhetoric between north korea and the u.s. tuesday president trump issued his most stern warning yet. >> north korea best not make any more threats to the united states. they will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. >> the response was mixed by the president's choice of words. >> the great leaders i've seen, they don't threaten unless they're ready to act, and i'm not sure president trump is

yesterday the constitutional assembly declared itself above all others. that includes the opposition controlled congress. that came hours after aseeably took control of the legislative chamber. they put up pictures of the late hugo chavez. an attorney for tiger woods said he will not attend his hearing today. that means woods will be pleading not guilty because any other plea requires the defendant's attendance. woods had the option to enter a program. he was arrested in may after officers found him asleep in his mercedes-benz. tributes are pouring in for country singer and guitarist glen campbell. he died yesterday at the age of 81 following a lengthy battle with alzheimer's disease. his daughter said she's heartbroken and owes her father
