, so your alternate will be lincoln highway. we'll let you know as soon as crews move out of the way, northeast extension, cute out there, southbound, near lansdale, right lane blocked. more to come in a little bit. >> meisha, thank you go. we do have breaking news this morning, couple dead in their home in south philadelphia ransacked. >> "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live at the scene with more on what investigators are saying. anita, what's the latest? >> reporter: good morning, jim , rahel. well, police are now investigating this as a homicide after finding a couple bloodied inside their first floor apartment just before midnight. we've seen investigators going in and out of this home on the 1300 block of federal street here, all morning long, third district police responded here around 11:45 last night. they say they found a 50 year old man unresponsive on the bathroom floor and his 23 year old girlfriend, on the living room floor. both pronounced dead minutes later. investigators say that the two had bruises to their faces and

were lying in pools of blood and it appears that they were assaulted. but chief inspector scott small says detective did not finds any narcotics in blaine view, what unfolded inside still remains a mystery. >> the house appears to be to have been ran sacked. however, there was no sign of any forced entry to the front door or the rear door. so we're not certain exactly what happened. >> so a lot of questions still remain, investigators say that a family member who lives on the second floor of that apartment went to go check on this couple, noticed that they were unresponsive and called authorities. that person along with another person are being interviewed right now by homicide detectives. but at this point, there is no word on suspect or a motive. live in south philadelphia, this morning, i'm anita oh, cbs-3 "eyewitness news." >> thank you, anita also new this morning, gunfire in philadelphia's mantua neighborhood leaves five men

hospitalized. this happened along the 39 and melon street around 11:00 last night, police arrived to find three men between the ages of 18 and 24, have been shot. one of them is in critical condition. short time later, two other men also showed up to the hospital with gunshot wounds. police did manage to pull over a car they say was leaving the scene of the shooting, right now, they're questioning the people who were in the car. >> man accused of driving into counter protesters in virginia will appear in court today. twenty year old james alex fields faces charges including second degree murder, malicious wounding and failure to stop at the scene after accident that resulted in a death. fbi also opening civil right investigation. fields is accused of piling into the crowd in charlottesville saturday. heather heyer was killed, and a vigil yesterday. >> white supremists, they were nazis, they don't stand for us we will not let a small group

of individuals with racism, their bigotry, come into our state. >> fields now being held without bail as of yesterday morning another 19 people were still hospitalized after that crash. >> well, that is the man who organized the white supremicist rally in charlottesville, supposed to have press conference yesterday afternoon but as we can see angry protesters stopped him from speaking then chased him away. he was seen running into a police station as the crowd yelled murderer. >> protests were going on, and police evacuated wal-mart in charlottesville after someone called in a bomb threat. authorities got everyone out of the store after 8:30 last night, police surrounded the building and they're still investigating. >> philadelphia sending a message against hate that's time for all every us to co- exist. the thomas payne plaza hosed rally that attracted an

estimated 2,000 people, with candles that many held symbolized peace and equality. they took a stand backing the counter protesters opposing white supremecist groups. one of the speakers was in charlottesville where the violence happened on saturday. >> after the attack, as i said , we got together with the people that were exposed to us , and we said we're not going to be intimidated by this. at that point we didn't know someone had died. but nonetheless, we were not going to be inch intimidated. >> there was police presence at the rally last night, but no reports any incidents. one day we point to you, may love one day replace you. >> the center city philadelphia was not the only place which hosed rallies, crowds prayed in ardmore, at lynnewood park neighbors joined together to remind each other that white or black, bigotry and hatred are not welcome in their community. >> i purposely brought my children to see so that they know that it is not just

people's color that are fighting the fight. that we have people supporting us of all different colors that are not happy with the way things are going. >> many in the crowd say the united states needs administration that is willing to firmly denounce people's messages from white supremecist. >> similar message in delaware county and media, the stand against hate rally before charlottesville attracted dozens of people eager to spread the words about love and trust. demonstrators stood against the national violence in virginia, instead in choose to go support each other. >> we all have to come together, and hate in any form is wrong. you know, in any, in any rang, it is just wrong, and we need to learn to overcome it. >> well, those who attended say it is important for all communities to come together to denounce violence and hate from coast-to-coast. and this morning, we are also hearing from the philadelphia chapter of the naacp.

voices heard in the aftermath of the deadly valley involving white supremecist this weekend in charlottesville. >> police and protesters clashed in downtown seattle yesterday, police used pepper spray to disperse members of a pro trump freedom rally and counter protesters who oppose the kkk and neo-nazis. at least three people were arrested. black lives matter demonstrators took to the streets of tampa florida protesting against the ku klux klan and other white supremicist groups, they block roads for short time, but no arrests. >> in other news this morning, out west, a brush fire threatens homes and forces evacuations in riverside, california. the blaze started yesterday afternoon, has quickly grown to 1,000 acres, scorch all of the dry brush, authorities lifted the evacuation order after firefighters had the

out of our way yet. northeast extension southbound near lansdale. seeing construction here causing some red and orange to pop up letting you know you are traveling less than posted speeds. now that's all been cleared. rahel, jim, back to you. >> meisha, thank you. talk about going above and beyond the call every duty. >> police officer from north jersey was called into action, while on vacation. this is the moorestown police sergeant sean o'hare, taking some type off in florida, noticed two year old child drowning in a hotel pool. o'hare immediately jumped into action, pulling the child from the water. and performing cpr. we're told that the child was resuscitated, taken to nearby hospital for treatment. good news, and great job by officer o'hare there. >> absolutely. >> well still ahead on " eyewitness news" this morning , clean up underway after a train goes off the tracks. take a lock at this mess, we'll tell you the surprising way weather is being blamed for causing all of this. we'll be right back.

>> take a look at this, officials are blaming flooding for causing this train derail ment in oklahoma this is incredible. this is right along the board where arkansas, now, we're told that flooding washed away the grounds under the tracks, that caused the train to derail. the bigger problem was that the train was caring liquid propane gas, that forced by nearby neighbors to evacuate. everyone is back home now, but schools are closed this morning because buses can't get through that area. >> well, time now is 4:51, time for check on business news. >> mine watch's roxanna joins us from the new york took stock exchange, good morning. what are investors looking out for this week? >> jim, rahel, they're waiting for the latest figures on how much consumers are driving economic growth. tomorrow, the commerce department delivers its us retail sales data from july. retail sales droved from may to june as americans spent less at department stores, restaurants, and bars. invest remembers also hoping to keep up the momentum this week, after snapping out of last week's slump a mid worries about north korea. friday the dow closed up
