more than likely yes, especially on busy tuesday morning. thanks so much, katie. good morning to all of you, if you are just waking up with us ben franklin bridge, gorgeous, looking good as usual, starting to maybe heat up just little bit. push in the westbound direction from jersey, schuylkill near spring garden, the same story here, as you push in the eastbound direction toward center city, heating up just little bit. westbound side actually looking pretty good. looking at the westbound side, little bit even more west around city avenue. still looking good, still, still early out, there as we crack in the 6:00 hour, start to see things change. now, we have accident out here so 40-foot road route 63 or welsh rd. showing a lot of green. if that's your neck of the woods, just want to show you real quick that accident is out there. construction 422 westbound between route 202 and trooper, that left lane was compromised not sure if the crews are still out there or if they're just picking it up, getting a lot better around, there although i will say as it is getting better crews cleaning up construction in the area starting to see levels kind of build ever so slightly. so just heads up. then we have guardrail repairs

left lane. and obviously you can see, we've got some people, vehicles walking around, as women. so take it very easy here, one of the areas, whenever we have people, it is dark outside, outside their sleeks, walking around it, will start it get busy, start to tap your brakes , that on the schuylkill will start to slow things down pretty quickly. more to come in ten minute, jim, over to you. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> thank you, meisha. well, the total solar eclipse is now less than a week away. while we will only get to see partial eclipse here in the philadelphia area it, will still be pretty cool an event to experience. matt peterson traveled to one viewing spot in our area gearing up for this stellar occasion. >> first total solar eclipse from 1979 is still days away. while other people will travel to parts of the count troy see the moon totally block out the sun we'll still get pretty good view here in the area. one of the best place toss see is close by in delaware.

>> greenville, new castle countly have telescopes ready for the historic event. the first solar eclipse to be contained in the continental u s in almost 100 years, on august 21 the moon will pass between the earth and the sun, on track from oregon to south carolina. >> the moon's orbit is tilted little bit, with respect to where the sun is. and so every once in a while the moon actually passes. >> in our area 80% of the sun will be covered, but those who see total eclipse will get to view a phenomenon known as the corona. >> when the moon is looking -- blocking the surface of the sun then you can see all of that thin, yes, surrounding the sun. >> telescopes need to be protected just like our eyes do, so fitted when special solar filter for the big event if you miss this eclipse you will to wait until 2024 for the neck one, at some point in time solar eclipse also fade into history. >> in about 500 million years there won't be any total
