generated that rainfall today, we're not going to feel cooler air but it will be slightly less humid, slightly as we head into the day tomorrow. stormscan 3 showing us rain came to an end. we're dealing with a foggy conditions because we certainly have moisture to work with. rainfall totals in princeton through the day about an inch and a half. same in dover and doylestown picking up close to six 10ths of an inch of rainfall's mays landing another cool and rainy day for august, 78 high temperature in philadelphia, that's it. normal high would have us at 86 degrees. but temperatures are on the cooler side of average. 63 in mount pocono. 68 in allentown. 73 in atlantic city. still up at 75 in dover. we don't have that heat but we certainly have the humidity but due points are starting to now drop off a bit to the north and west, we're still stuck in with that steam factor, the city and points south ward with due points well up into the 70's but due points starting to drop off

a bit into the low 60's in the poconos but because of all of that moisture, we're seeing greatly reduced visibilities. dealing with quarter mile visibility or near so in trenton and wilmington. near 0 visibility being reported in lancaster. about five miles in philadelphia, and that's something we'll have to watch out for throughout the overnight period and into the early portion of tomorrow's commute as well. areas of fog greatly reducing visibilities. 71 degrees our overnight lows with light winds and then into our wednesday, starting off with the fog, mostly sunny hot and humid. high temperatures haven't been in the 90's in philadelphia since august 1st. we're not going to deal with much of a breeze to help cool us off, wind speeds five miles per hour but conversely, hurricane gert is strengthening now a strong category 1 hurricanes wind at 85 miles per hour, sitting offshore the eastern sea board continuing to turn away and that's good news because it is strengthening. it's become a category 2 into

late day tomorrow, we're not going to see direct impacts but, high rip current risks. of keep that in mind, search at four to six feet. rough seas and minor beach erosion is possible. sunshine through much of the day along the coast, were he could see a sea breeze generated shower later, high temperatures generally in the low to mid 80's. but do watch out for the high rip current risk. sure to swim in front of a lifeguard, chance of drowning at a lifeguarded beach is one in 18 million. do that. thursday, 84 sunshine spotty storm possible later in the day, then getting a very steamy into friday, and quite stormy as well. models playing out the potential for strong and potentially severe storms as we head late into friday and quieter for the upcoming weekend: >> thank you, lauren. >> poconos? >> and rain. >> stop now. stop.
