city, we're looking good here. storm scan is basically here. a couple of clouds here and there. you see those little specs showing up around the baltimore area, don't worry about those. just ground clutter moisture is certainly in the atmosphere across the region, but right now no wet weather in sight and certainly no fog. 68 the current value in atlantic city, 71 in philadelphia, a very calm wind and only 57 up in mount pocono. that's certainly the oddball out. most of us in are generally in the 60s. beautiful day in the poconos, just watch for the spotty thunderstorm down the shore and it will hit about 87 in philadelphia with more sun than anything. a little on the muggy side but nothing we can can't handle. the problem is come tomorrow not only is the humiddy going to ramp up, we'll be tracking wet weather, i'll let you know when we expect storms to rumble

attention. the district attorney here in west chester calling the crime senseless. he is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 18-year-old bianca roberson killing her in an apparent road rage attack last month. police were able to track him down through surveillance video. he turned himself in to police with his attorney very early one sunday morning back on july 2nd. but this only came after an all-out, four-day man hunt. this tragic story started on a road in west goshen township. the two were jockeying for position as the road merged into one lane. he wasn't letting her by so he

pulled out a gun and shot her in the head. she had just graduated from high school and was greting ready to attend jacksonville university in the fall. >> this is the story of a sal age and senseless murder. this defendant wasn't happy with the way it was going so he pulled out a gun and killed this young woman. >> that was da tom hogan there talking about this arrest after it was made back in july. at that time he said there was no indication that race played a role. in the meantime david desper is being held without bail he faces a judge today for his preliminary hearing. we will be here to cover it all for now we're live in west chester. >> all right, jan. thank you. >> the time now is 5:36. in business news this morning, a

makeover for a popular children's restaurant. >> hi, hena. >> good morning, guys. the jump by retail stocks led a small rally here on wall street. the nasdaq picked up 12. new data shows more people are having trouble paying off their student loans. the consumer protection bureau reports more than 40% of borrowers owe $20,000 or more. 15% owe $50,000 or more. at least half of all borrowers don't start paying off their loans until they're at least 35 years old. chuck e. cheese is getting a modern makeover. they're getting rid of its signature animatronic

rizzo's statue citing brutality against african-americans during his time as mayor. >> it's not just statues as john lawrence reports, schools and parks named after confederate leaders are at risk. a confederate statue of slavery defender roger tawney doesn't ride off into the sunset but rather is taken away on a flat bed truck. >> any city that has confederate statues are concerned about violence occurring in their city. >> baltimore removed all four of its confederate statues wednesday. other cities including gainesville, florida and new york also removed items over the past few days. now this is going further than just statues and plaques. >> this is an opportunity to show our younger generation the difference of right and wrong. >> the dallas school district wants to change the name of five

of its schools named after federal officials. oklahoma city officials are thinking likewise. >> what we want to do is find out if the communities have interest in going forward with the name change. >> and the charlottesville city council in virginia recently voted in changing lee park to emancipation park. officials also voted in favor of taking down its stal u of lee lee sitting upon his horse. but the move which sparked the white nationalist violence over the weekend is paused pending litigation. >> up next i'll tell you who tops the latest forbes list of highest-paid actresses. >> why are they banning candy? we'll tell you. >> that doesn't soun like a celebration at all. >> and this camp site has room left for people who want to travel for the eclipse. but there's a twist.

ophthalmologist has planned a family vacation. >> if you're within this path you will see a total solar eclipse. >> the pattern goes from oregon across the country down to south carolina. it will be the first total solar eclipse visible from the u.s. since 1979. >> it's just supposed to be the most amazing thing to go from the middle of the day to the middle of the night and have it last for two and a half minutes and boom you're back. >> reporter: for those in the direct path, the temperature is expected to drop about 10 degrees when day briefly turns to night. >> i just thought on a hot summer day it would be cool at 2:00 in the afternoon it would be cool. >> it will be a once in a lifetime event. there's just one problem. >> i just hope that it's a sunny day. if it's a cloudy day, it's going to be miserable. you have to pick a spot and hope for the best. >> hoping and planning, he has special eclipse glasses for solar filters they're for his family and he's giving them out

to patients. >> reporter: sunglasses are no good. >> well, a star has aligned with a rare astronomical event. bonnie tyler will perform her 1983 hit "total eclipse of the heart" aboard the total eclipse cruise. the ship will be in the path of totality for the performance just as the moon moves across the sun. talk p a marketing ideal there. if you're still looking for a place to go to watch next week's eclipse, there's a camp in missouri that has some open spots. >> but there is a catch. if you go you have to camp naked. >> that's because this is a nudest club. by the way it's the only remaining nudest club in missouri and it happens to be in the eclipse's path of totality.
