leadership and flawed teamwork contributed to the crash. both navy ships, the fitzgerald and mccain, are among those in asian waters equipped with the missile defense system, mentioned lately as one of the tools that could be used to counter any potential missile launches by north korea. the us navy along with singapore animal asia are taking part in the search and rescue mission. mel oliver, vbs3, "eyewitness news". we're following some breaking news, vehicle has ran into several bus stops in france leaving one woman dead. it happened just moments ago, in the port city of marsai. at least two bus stops, one person dead, no word on how many other may be injured. driver of the vehicle has been arrested at the scene. jim? >> rahel, president trump will address the nation on his strategy for afghanistan. president is back at the white house after a more than two weeks away. he says he made a decision after meeting with military leaders over the weekend.

officials say the plan calls for 4,000 troops to be deployed, but that could change. this will be mr. trump's first major national security address as president. two people are dead, after an atv crash in chester, delaware county. the crash happened just before 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of tenth and lambokin streets. the atv's collided head-on. both drivers were killed at the scene. the crash is under investigation. >> police asking for the public's helped in finding a man violently attacked 7-eleven clerk in center city. take a look at this surveillance photo taken inside the store 1300 block of market street. police say this man, and the clerk, got into an argument over cigarettes around 6:00 yesterday morning. the suspect reportedly jumped over counter and stabbed the employee multiple times, with a butcher knife. investigators say the suspect got away without taking any items or money. the victim is in stable condition. investigators say the gun used in a north philadelphia shooting was stolen from

clearfield, pennsylvania. the police involved shooting happened on the 2500 block of north alder street, around 11:00 saturday night. police say, bike officers were on patrol when they saw a man walking with a gun in his hand the officers asked the man to drop the gun, instead, he took off after a brief chase the man pointed his gun at an officer. that officer then shot the suspect twice. necessary stable condition. no officers were hurt. well, taylor swift has disappeared on social media, still ahead why some fans think it is a good sign. >> also ahead, we're remembering the life and career of comedian jerry lewis , who passed away yesterday at the age of 91. >> and a live look now, looks like center city has your eclipse forecast, plus tell us when to expect a major warm up we will be right back.

and in the age of social media , too, when we get to share the pictures and share in it as a count ricky think real unifying event hon he zero he isly. we take you outside to "skycam 3", there is it is, light of day, here we go, getting closer. yes, that sun will be rising in about a half hour or so, as it does, should have absolutely stellar sunrise, no pun intended for the days event here. and looking ahead to fog more than couple of patchy clouds, and now our eyewitness weather watchers already up and adam, reporting some cool but comfortable air for the most part. we're generally in the low or mid 60s, one spot, 59 degrees, is the value there. we check in with ed who is out in chesterfield, checking in nice clear sky for the most part in chesterfield, has higher humidity 62 degrees, still nonetheless feels somewhat cool outside. more than anything because of the nice clear sky, allowing the temperatures to fall, almost need the jacket for first of several walks he takes with his dog in the morning, an active guy. let's go ahead, switch gears.

get you right back on out to the maps. i want to get to the eclipse talk here. high pressure still generally on our side. >> this will be making it departure, that's going to allow the next cyst femme to move in with a cold front tuesday night specially into early wednesday. big cluster of thunderstorms working its way through iowa right now. so it does appear as though the center of the country, is where you're like willing to have perhaps the worse viewing conditions of the country as a whole. in the path of totality anyway , vast majority of tote -- path of totality looks , less than idea but not horrible. here at home we're good. may see spotty shower, thunderstorm, but after the event has already wrapped up past 4:00 p.m. so the safe way to view this, you never look directly at the sun without the appropriate glasses, or the appropriate filter, and sunglasses will not cut it. in addition, you don't actually have to look up at the sun. you can use a pin hole camera, or some kind of projection device to look at the shadow
