this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". right now at noon, another accident on the rails, dozen are hurt after a crash involving a septa train. >> now the national transportation safety board has joined the investigation, into what went wrong. good afternoon, i'm rahel solomon. >> i'm jim done v. at league ya joins us live now at the scene in upper darby with the latest developments. good afternoon, alicia. >> good afternoon, jim, rahel, now, ntsb investigators are still out here, we will pan over and gave you a look, because, the train that crashed is still in the terminal just behind me, this caution tape around it, and we're told spoke from the ntsb

is on their way from dc to give us a update on the investigation into this crash, but shear with a we know so far. >> overnight at the 69th street septa terminal, in upper darby, a train crash, the second one this year, at the same ternal. >> coming from work, the train out here, the train going real fast, like super fast, and i'm looking up, and i see that we had 69 street. >> why going so fast? >> raymond was knocked unconscious in the just after midnight train cash that injured 41 other people. >> super lucky. because it was super bad. >> the driver is all banged up , and there is this one girl , bleeding out of her face pretty bad. >> this man another pass inning here says just minutes before impact, before the train going at a high raid of speed, rammed into another parked train, he knew something was wrong. >> i was waiting at gulf mill, the train came by, blue pass us, three, four train lent,

stopped, backed up, picked us up, the same thing happened at bryn mawr, drove past, backed up, pick us up, i was talking to a guy at if you mill. he's like that's not right t never passes like that, i said something is wrong. i almost waited for the neck train, and we got to the terminal, i stood up, to get off and get ready to get to my bus on time. and smack. >> unknown so far how fast the train was traveling and why it kept blowing past each terminal. the ntsb now working to get those answers. >> and dozen injured in this train cash, four were in critical condition, and taken to penn and lankenau hospitals the remaining that were injured were taken to about a half dozen other area hospitals, again, the ntsb is investigating this right now. spokesperson is expected to give us update, as soon as we have that we'll give that you information, one of our broadcasts or on our website cbsphilly.com. alicia, cbs 3, "eyewitness news." >> thank you for the update,

alicia. this is the second accident at the 69th street station this year. on february 21st, an accident injured four people, authorities say, at that point the train operator activated the emergency mode at the last moment, in hopes of preventing the crash. the broad street, market frankford lines have atc or automatic train control, which is supposed to prevent such accidents. >> in other news this noon, bill cosby is back in a norristown courtroom this morning, this afternoon the pretrial conference was used to hammer out details for the upcoming retrial on sexual assault charges. now lead council for the entertainer, he found fame a dozen years ago when he successfully represented michael jackson, in his child sex a bouquets. another lawyer new to the team is cat lynn bliss of nevada. the judge relieved attorneys bribing mcmonagle, angela, from representing cosby, both had asked to withdraw. now, let's talk about where this retrial will happen and where the jury had come from. cosby's new lawyers told the judge, they intends to have this case tried right here in norristown, using a jury from montgomery county. the first time around, you'll recall, the jury in june was pulled from allegany county, cosby's lawyers at the time claimed they would not be able to seat a fair and i am partial jury from this county. now, it is unclear what the cosby's team new legal strategy is, just don't know why they now seek an injury fry montgomery county because they would not take questions leaving court. also, this trial was expected to start on november 6th.

because there is a new legal defend team in place, the judge realizes there is a volume of evidence that they have to sift threw from the first trial and discovery, so the trial date is now pushed back, retrial, likely to start very late winter, early spring , the judge set somewhat date that might float around march 15th and april 1st. that's the latest outside of flurry of activity inside the montgomery county courthouse this morning, i'm joe holden, cbs-3 "eyewitness news." >> thank you, joe. meanwhile this noon, four men are facing charges in connection with a child preditor sting conducted by the pennsylvania attorney general's office. these are the suspect, 36 year old christopher cook of york, 28 year old william navitsi of king every prussia, and apitha i of king of prussia, and nafiz of philadelphia. each suspect solicited sex on line with a undercover agent who was posing as a minor.

this is the fourth major collision in the pacific this year. navy officials ordered full review of the incident. >> well, some dramatic video to show you, thirds young boy is pulled alive from the rubble after home in italy. spectators here cheered as the 11 year old was pulled into a waiting ambulance. the boy's eight year olan seven month old brothers and parents were also all brought to safety. officials say all three boys will be released from the hospital tomorrow. two people were killed in the magnitude 4.0 quake that rattled the resort island yesterday. >> rains led to historic flood ing in missouri. entire property underwater, and the family trapped on the roof. crews rescuing drivers from flooded street and some places people were asked to evacuate their homes as flood waters continued to rise. authorities say thousands in the area are also without power due to the storm. >> turning to the forecast, here at home, we've had bit of break from the heat, but it is starting to feel like summer again. hot, humid conditions, making

a come back. meteorologist, matt peterson in the cbs-3 weather center details of heat advisory, hi, matt. >> rahel, you're right. we a break. felt like maybe we had turned the page to more of fall like forecast for the rest of even the is summertime. mother nature reminding us summer doesn't ends for quite a couple of more weeks anyway, it will be a hot one, later today, it is already warming up, storm scan3, we had some cloud cover early on, some kind of haze to start out the day. that that's since burned off. it is a clear picture on storm scan3, right now. temperatures as i said are on the rise, it is already up into the mid 80s, across much of the delaware valley, 86 already here in wilmington, already 87 down at the atlantic city airport, even looking at the mid 80s, to low 80s from the lehigh valley up into the poconos, again, temperatures only going to continue to rise. when you add in the humidity with dew point already in the 60s and 70s, it is already feeling like it is 99 in wildwood, millville, and dover it, feels like it is 92 right now in philly. could be looking for triple heat index values later this

we have to get through today. once we do, again, it will be feeling nice, by thursday, friday, and specially into this coming weekend. now, we are taking a look at spring garden street, we just move into the early afternoon hours, and we have blue skies out. that wasn't the case early on. we did have haze, fog developed, it was mug think morning, all burned off, and again, looking at some pretty much just write blue sunny skies now as we move into the early afternoon hours. but this all comes at a price, high heat, high humidity, our heat advisory today, goes into effect, in just under an hour, 1:00 this afternoon until 8:00 e area shaded in that orange, we will be going with the heat advisory, heat index values today, 98 to maybe as high as 103, so very dangerous heat, it is heat that we haven't seen, really since the beginning of the month of august, yes, this thing back to all of those safety tips that we think about throughout the summertime, we talk about taking frequent breaks, lots of water shall staying in the

shade, you have to remember all of that, because today will be one of those heat days , where we could have potentially some problems. now, temperatures for the most part right now are in the 80s, seeing eight an in allentown, philly, now it is 87 wilmington, gets little warmer head toward milville and dover , seeing it 88 degrees when you add in the humidity which currently have dew points sitting in the 60s and 70s, check out these dew points from millville back down toward wildwood. upper 70s, wilmington coming in at 76. so this air is just extremely heavy, it is extremely humid, it does not feel good outside. already pushing triple digit heat index values dover, millville, wildwood, we got 99 it feels like it is 92 right now here in philly. feeling like 94, as you head up toward reading, and it is only going to get worse as we go through the day. check out fought your feels like temperatures by 3:00. 4:00 this afternoon feeling like 98 or more here in philly there is the triple digit heat index values, dover, millville , but again, we could pretty much see anywhere across the i the a -- i95

corridor, triple digit heat index values. storm scan3, cold front off to the west, our system that will be pulling through, as we go through the later portions of today and tonight, will bring us some showers, some thunderstorms could start to fire up as early as 6:00 this evening. really kind of pushing through the early overnight hours, lasting then into about the mid-overnight as well. by midnight tonight, most of the strongest storms are going to diminish, but few light showers could linger, it looks like, into our wednesday morning, but all of those clear skies, well on the back side that far front, means that tomorrow afternoon it should be okay. we do have this severe weather threat today from the poconos, parts of the northern lehigh valley, gusty winds, torrential rain, possible, as that front comes through. that's where our slight risk is and stronger storms even possible down here into the delaware valley as well. 93 degrees for the high temperature today, 84 tomorrow , and we continue to cool it down as we get into thursday and friday, as well. some lower 80s, and then guys, even 70s, it look like, headed into the weekends. not only that, the humidity is

four legged friends are bringing out some nice changes in the inmate. >> a lot of inmates who indicate they haven't touched the dog, they haven't seen a dog in over two decades. >> see a guy walk past, and put on his playful voice, want to throw the ball. >> program is giving these inmates different set of skills they need to become integrated back into society. and, it is also lifting their spirit in the process. >> i like the responsibility of it. just knowing that i got someone to care for her, someone i need to make sure eats, you know, goes to the potty breaks and different like that. so i like being -- >> the ability of them to commit to something so completely is, i think, really telling in
