was distracted on her phone when she was hit by a car in abington. crash happened on the 900 block of highland avenue right here near abington high school yesterday afternoon. the victim's teammates say the girl was on her way to cheer leading practice when she was hit by a car. eyewitnesses told police that the teen was looking at her phone, face timing, as she crossed the street, investigators say person on the other end of the call, also heard the crash. >> we're determined through speaking with some witnesses that the young lady was, was distracted, on face time on her cell phone which was obviously a contributing factor in the accident. >> just walking the street, it is surreal, that could happen to you in 10 seconds is very scary. >> driver stopped to help the girl, teen recovering from serious injuries. a stunning turn off events in the brandon creato murder trial, still ahead only "eyewitness news" speaks to dj
