of irma and it is just going to be rolling in today, when we look at storm scan very wide zoom it is a strung out system we won't even call it that, the core of any wet weather is confined across tennessee, kentucky, but again , that is going to be, bringing us some problems, in the next few days, very minor won more nuisance then anything but some showers work their way in through midday today just cloud, pretty mild start to the day, notice surplus from the same time yesterday, not much but it is enough to help make it feel more comfortable when you walk outside the door. as it translates to the thermometer we are talking low to mid 60's, still in the upper 50's if not low 50's up toward mountain and northern and west most suburbs but wind flow also turns more southerly regional wide today to allow that warmth to continue to build. daytime high on this particular day of the year is average at 79. we are having pretty much a completely average day in that regard. mid 70's at the shore, lower

70's in the mountain and watching for scattered showers to roll rel through. umbrella is required. i would take it. i don't think we will absolutely need it all day long. certainly again everything very skat toward day but sure ry pattern is something with us overtime, but by the time we hit weekend we are watching jose. we will have the latest on that later in the show, meisha >> katie, thank you so much. good morning, everybody, happy wednesday, looking outside right now we have been basically looking at so far is construction, a lot of which has been moved out, some still out there but we are looking good. 422 at oaks headlights in the eastbound direction you can see how headlights are out there we are starting to fill in the gaps at 5:30 in the morning and that is typically what happens at this time. boulevard at fox street taillights in the southbound direction that is what we are looking at there, you are looking good, basically anywhere i look. 309 at turnpike headlights moving in the north bound direction looking good here, that is a stalled camera. overall we are looking g3 points of construction in delaware one cleared. ninety-five north between delaware avenue and route 202,

that right lane compromised still. 495 northbound between edgemore road and claymont two left lanes are blocked there. this one has been cleared. we also have some more construction in delaware 95 north off ramp to 295, north bound that is going to be closed until right around 7:00 . i will let you know when crews move out of our way. construction cherry hill route 70 between haddonfield road and 295, one lane blocked in each direction, back to you. clean up begins after hurricane irma blew through state of the florida leaving devastation in the wake. we now know at least 12 people were killed in that state. this morning, almost half of florida remains in the dark, without power. now, down in the florida keys, which were the hardest hit, federal officials estimate that the storm destroyed one quarter of all of the homes there. president trump is expected to visit florida tomorrow, for a firsthand look at some of the damage. in other news, house lead ers from both parties will meet today to talk about daca deferred action for childhood arrivals program. they are set to discuss

legislation to protect recipients after the president announced the program's time is running out. here's john lawrence. >> reporter: eight days passed since president trump placed a six month expiration date on the deferred action for childhood arrivals program, also known as daca. what the president did last week was immoral, and at best cynical. >> reporter: but move appears to have motivated some to work for a quick solution. >> so while the president gives six months time for congress to act, we want to do that sooner. we will do it within six weeks >> reporter: house minority leader nancy pelosi, house speaker paul ryan and house majority leader kevin mccarthey will meet wednesday to discuss legislation that will protect nearly 800,000 daca recipient from his deportation according to the source familiar with the situation, while talks will take place in d.c., others are taking action into their own hands. two counties in california,

finished 22 points up. apple shares, slipped avenues that its new iphone 10 won't ship until november. tech giant unveiled latest versions of the iphone including the iphone 10 yesterday with the bigger display, higher resolution and facial recognition technology. it comes at a hefty price around $1,000. federal regulators want auto make tours do more to make sure self driving cars are not misused, this comes as ntsb says both tesla and driver died in the car crash involving a self driving tesla sedan last year were to blame for the accident. ntsb says josh brown relied too much on the car's self driving technology but also says tesla's auto pilot lack safe guard to keep drivers from using it improperly. which toys to replace in the national toy hall of fame, this years 12 finalist include magic eight ball, match boxcars, my little pony and simple items like the paper airplane and sand, the toys

windsor was 88 years old. well, a nine year-old girl in oregon is safe this morning after she was forced to leap from the third floor of the building apartment, and into the arms of the neighbor. this all happened yesterday morning near portland. the quick moving fire fueled by a propane tank that exploded, left nine year-old girl, and her father, aj, trapped inside their third floor apartment with no other options, aj dropped her from the window but three stories down a neighbor who made the catch of his life. >> he catching my daughter. when he dropped her, i just caught her, you know what i mean. >> i felt comfortable about it if he wasn't there i probably would have broke something. >> brave little girl. >> authorities say this were some injuries in that fire but no deaths reported. the cause of the fire is under investigation. well, we told you we'd get to the bottom it and we d scientists say invasion of the

funny. >> she is hilarious in that movie and her real speaking voice when not pulling an accent i could sit and listen to it all day like when meisha speaks swedish. >> yes. >> or when she speaks minnesotan, okay. i like it. i like their meat balls. >> as we totally switch gears here we will find in the next couple days wet weather out there we have showers, over our pattern just because we have irma's remnant moisture coming in. it is not really here yet. all still dry, this is one example of the many, dry camera that we have. you will notice as you can see there on the left-hand side of the screen flag not budging barely a noticeable breeze let alone any win at all. as you go out and about here, it is a mild start to the day and it is also dry. now, with time, umbrella is not the war idea.

we will fine jobs, moving in at midday. check on our eyewitness weather watchers, we will get to all of. that we have got really cool pictures coming in of the moon , but we also have, wet windshields if you don't have a benefit of the garage you may be, hitting the road here, doing some thawing action on the inside of the car. keep that in mind. generally speaking we are off to a quiet start. moon is just basically at half right now, it is 49 percent illuminated. pretty shot and well detailed image coming in from phil chap line. lets go back to the observations where we have temperatures cool, it is september and we are in the lower 60's in a couple spots here as we switch gears. lets get you back out to the maps. we have two storms i want to show you. i don't even want to call it a storm at this point. irma has fizzled so much. it is still expansive. we have moisture over kentucky , tennessee but that has strung out back over virginia at this point, that is lift nothing where the showers come from today.

here's jose still a cat one hurricane it looks like a giant cotton ball on the screen but that is churning up the surf as far north as our beaches. i wouldn't go in the water for next couple days because that storm will hang out, you know, in that general area for a few days and then eventually turn north. taking a quick look at the timing of all of the rain that we have on the way, scattered in nature. lets go out to 11:00 a.m. today. again there could be embedded pockets of showers but it is scattered. if you have outdoor plans you can probably keep them but don't be shocked if you see shower. wet weather here is not war idea to have on hand in case you are unlucky enough to get stuck under a quick moving shower. tomorrow looks more widespread midday those showers and even thunderstorm could come in here and even friday, residual shower if not saturday. it is a prolong pattern but very much a minor, very nuisance pattern unfolding. sunday looks brighter but by then we will be watching jose make its closest path to the

>> jim and jan, hey. it is oldest joke in the book. a pol guys. that is what happens early in the morning. we are at peddler's village, it is a beautiful crisp fall morning. what does that mean? scare crow festival is back, 38th year they are doing it. this is joe albert from peddler's village. good morning. >> how are you, good morning. >> thanks for having us. >> this is great. >> talk about the festival. >> we are just in the competition right now, this past sunday we had about 100 or so scare crows put around property that has come in for competition. >> they are incredible this year. there are artists out there. >> this weekend we are getting ready for our 38th annual scare crow festival where we make scare crows, peddler's village way. that is what we will be doing. >> before we get into that people not familiar with peddler's village what do they sianni find when they come here. >> we have wonderful 55 different stores, unique different stores. we have restaurants that are

on the property, there is all different things here to do, we have the old fashion carousal. >> yep. >> and just festivals and things that we do here that are peddler's village way which is great. very different. lots of fun. >> you are actually teaching people how to make a scare crow. you guys have a booklet on how to do it. >> yes, we do. >> you are the man behind all this. what do we do. >> no problem. sign up for the classes, we get a bag, you get interesting things in the bag. >> yes. >> pantihose. >> you get a pair of pantihose , eyes, and rubber bands. >> what we does we connect rubber bands to the different areas, as we already did. >> yes, we did. >> head is made out of the pantihose. fill this up. i will hold it. >> we will make your head. stuff it up. >> is that good. >> yep. >> keep going. >> i have a big head so we need a lot of hey. >> we stuff that up.

well well, one daring leap cost a swimmer hundreds of dollars. >> man from the uk is now first person to ever swim across the hoover dam, but authorities are not impressed at all, 28 year-old erin hughes from north wales was visiting las vegas for a bachelor party when he decided to take the plunge. hughes says, get this, after a few drinks, he got hot, so he decided to climb down rocks in a restrict area to reach water >> how bright. >> as soon as i jumped in the water, i decided, you know what, go for a swim. >> he decided to do an interview afterward. it took him 45 minutes to swim from the arizona side to the nevada side. officials say this is first time anyone has even tried the dangerous stunt. police arrested hughes and find him $330 for his swim. >> good for them. i'm glad they find him. >> glad he is okay. hundreds of people are angry after a failed pizza

festival in new york city this were hungry, angry and paid a high price for a thin price. attendees say what was advertised as new york's finest pizza turned out to be a few pies delivered on the spot. ticket holders paid 39 to $74 for pizza, wine and beer and they got an empty lot and pathetic sliver of pizza. >> i am saying wait a minute, something is not adding up, no crust. it looked lake they chopped up the pizza and ordered it, chopped it up and were serving that with warm wine and warm beer. it was just ridiculous. >> now another post by the same organizer said there would be a burger festival at the location, new york authorities say he is same guy behind a failed african food festival in brooklyn last year >> that is terrible, look at how many people were there too , i would be angry as well. >> i don't get involved. i wait for the first year. first year happen and then show up second year.
