>> updating breaking news, out of london, looking at picture circulating on social media right now, after an explosion on a subway train. >> several people have been hurt. let's go live to london for the latest from gavin, good morning, what can you tell us at this point? >> reporter: yes, morning, jim , jan. video from inside the train car shows plastic white bucket inside a shopping bag. and what appears to be small flames. police are investigating exact cause what this is, unclear who made this device at the moment and police are actively is her clinic for suspect. they've tweet add request, urging to remain vigilant, to report any suspicious behavior so, a laid had i reported an explosion on one of the

carriages, earlier on this morning, it was on a busy commuter train, packed in rush hour around 8:20 a.m. local time. but armed police on the scene, and investigating as we speak. >> gavin what's the situation as far as the tube situation there? is everything shutdown pretty much at this point? >> at the moment the affect the lines, the area where this took place happened, that area is shutdown. the whole network, not entirely sure what the, but specially southwestern area, that part of the network is shutdown. we have report of commuters fleeing the area, running away from the train, when it was stopped by police. so there was a stampede supposedly when the station was evacuated. so many people were injured in that stampede. also there are report of people on the track at the time, as well. so currently at the moment we still are hearing that part of the network are operational. but the area where this happened, has closed down. >> and obviously, this is still a developing story, you mentioned some injuries. do we know how many people

have packed the train and the extent of injuries? >> at the moment, injuries, hearing singed hair, so far superficial injuries, if you like. but british officials threat levels at the terrorism, severe, second highest on five-point scale, meaning attack is highly likely. so we've had three terror attacks in london in the last year. varying degrees of severity, so we will monitor the situation as we speak and developing story, jim, jan. >> correspondent dent in our c bs bureau in london, thank you very much for that update. the latest as we begin our work week, work day, say work week? >> lots to cover. >> so what's going on on the roads, meisha? >> roads are look pretty good. all the sudden when we dip into the 6:00 hour we start to have more accident out there. so i just want to say use your best discretion, it is friday, yes, but we are starting to pick up. the weather should cooperate

for the morning drive. you may ends one some sun glare even as the day, morning , goes on here, and traveling eastbound, of course , as the sun comes up. but for now, storm scan is generally speaking still quiet still tracking what is all very fizzled batch of moisture all left from irma. and that for the most part folks is really moving out to sea. you know, you have got some decent rain showers, heavy thunderstorms, pushing out to the atlantic. but a lot of that is clearing our area, so yes, might still see shower around, not enough that i would say you absolutely must have umbrella with you. it mainly happens around midday. current temperatures low 60s, mid upper 60s, across the board here, mile even in mount pocono. not bad. you hell pretty tight 61 all morning long in fact. winds flow at the moment, at the shore, anyway, primarily westerly winds flow. off shore. keeping things milder for you there. but, as the morning progresses , and into the afternoon, we all warm up very readily. last day back to school for the kids here before the weekends, features some sunshine. for the most part, i think they'll get outside for recess with no problem today.

township involving injuries, here, this is actually still out there. we will be talking more about this coming up in the next ten minutes or so. jim, jan, back over to you. >> thank you shall meisha. police on the hunt for gunman they say shot two women, just miss hitting a three year old child in kingsessing. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do, has been following this breaking news, all morning long, she is live now at penn presbyterian medical center where the victims are being treated. so trang, what's the latest? >> jan, jim, police are now saying at least 14 bullet came through this front door and front wall of this home. the two victims here, in stable condition, at penn presbyterian hospital. but just grateful that the three year old was in the hurt in anyway. but take a look at this video of the scene overnight. this shooting happened just before 2:00 a.m., 5400 block of haddonfield in kingsessing. police say 36 year old woman was visiting her 40 year old friend who lives at the home, when the woman heard banking at the door. now, one of the women went to look through the peep hole. that's when someone from across the street began firing

the 40 year old was shot in the abdomen, and the 36 year old was shot in the thigh. now, officers transported both women to penn presbyterian hospital. police say given the shear number of bullets, that came through this house, it is a miracle that the three year old was not hurt. >> she was not injured. she was not struck by gunfire. she was very lucky. it was inside the property. you can see that the furniture , the couch, struck by gunfire, several couches. the walls were struck by gunfire. the ceilings were struck by gunfire, multiple times. >> so the women told police they saw a man wearing a mask, running away from the scene, at this point, investigators are still working to determine a motive. but for now, live outside penn presbyterian hospital. jim, jan, back to you. >> thank you, trang, for that update. >> in other news today, police looking for flasher who they say exposed himself to multiple women, into new castle county. there have been four incident, three of them happened in downtown middletown, and here's surveillance photo of

pretty quiet. we are still technically dealing with renmant moisture from irma. you know, it is really not impressive. at this point. it has fizzled so much. really just left with clear sky at the moment. couple of streaks of clouds here and there, at least skydeck, though, i can't find one cloud. so you'll see beautiful sunrise, that said, sunglasses good idea. do you need the umbrella? probably get away without it here today. through the afternoon see shower, but will be very spotty. looking around the region, mild start. even in the poconos, 61 degrees, we will take that. the dew point, though, are definitely starting to creep up little bit. it does feel muggy for mid september. not what you necessarily would expect. and it is still transition month, obviously, as we get into the new sees own. 67 degrees, hint of humidity out there right now. and that will be something that we notice for the next few days in fact. mid 80s around the region from the shore up to the city. slightly cooler, still warm for the standards, up in the poconos, and anyone can expect to see shower at some point, especially through the pm time

their injuries, however, are considered life threatening. cbs this morning will have live report from the uk at london deals with yet another terrorist attack this year. that's coming up in about 25 minute, at 7:00 a.m. >> meanwhile, here at home, gunman opens fire on home in kingsessing, hitting two women , while just missing toddler inside. the gunfire errupted 5400 block of haddonfield street just before 2:00 a.m. police say it all started with a knock at the door. one woman looks through the peep hole and the shooter opened fire from across the street. both women were hit and returned to the hospital. they're in stable condition. the three year old girl inside that home was not hurt. >> philadelphia's city officials are still mulling over what to do with the frank rizzo statue in center city. and today, is the deadline to smith an on line suggestion. meantime, more protests yesterday. "eyewitness news" outside the municipal services building where demonstrators were calling for the statue's removal, siting the former police commissioner and mayor 's record on race
