12:20 pm
worthy of note, right now across the central atlantic, we have this batch of showers and storms that has a high likelihood of developing into at least a depression and next one in line would be 15 because we do have tropical depression number 14 on its heels, and, that is showing some pretty decent likelihood it will be burleigh meanwhile, here's jose, still again, a tropical storm, but very likely to strengthen. we will talk about track in a second. but just to point out, you know, if you go to the beach here over weekend it will be great beach weather, but you have got to be really careful about stepping on those waves. because even though jose is still hundreds of miles away off to the south east, it is still churning up that ocean. it is still sending larger swells toward even our shoreline. so that can really bring in not only a dangerous rip current risk but also some churning seas and especially as this gets ever closer in the days ahead would i advise staying on dry land. now, with that said, lets check out the actual track that we're expecting this to
12:21 pm
take. it is a pretty potent tropical storm at 07 miles an hour sustain wind. it would need to get to 75 in order to qualify for a cat one hurricane. it will probably do that over next 24 hours. it is taking that northwesterly track and then shooting up to the north. thinks a cone of uncertainty that broadens further out because is there more uncertainty as to where this will go but take a look, western more edge of it would go right over new jersey. a cat one hurricane is farther cry here from what we had to deal with from irma but it will till cause if it happens this way some pretty substantial impact in the form of beach erosion, strong winds , strong surf all of those things that come with this, so this would be into next mid week. there are no guaranties, i want you to stick with us because we need more time, before this storm really shows its hand. i'm waiting for to it make that right-hand turn and start heading north before we have a good handle on which way it goes to the east or west.
12:22 pm
hopefully further to the east. some folks enjoying the beach out here not many but a couple folks out there lucky enough to have the afternoon off at beach patrol headquarters and we have a few more cloud starting to thick friend irma 's remnant moisture which looks whimpy at this point. now we are again, going to see a shower hit or miss variety throughout the rest of the day and i wouldn't be shocked if you saw one, maybe around the area tonight but that can make it look worse then it will be. temple is at home. if you saw a shower that would be it. it will not have a major impact on the game at home tonight. meanwhile looking at the rest of the weekend not bad mid 80 's all weekend long, spotty shower or storm, monday night into tuesday, that we think that, jose's impact will be felt here. whether it is indirect or directly just stick with us on that. >> all right. >> hopefully to the easty hope so. price's right seen right here on cbs-3 weekdays, is tv 's longest running game show >> and monday it begins its forty-sixth season. >> and now, here's drew carry.
12:23 pm
>> and this is a very special anniversary for host drew care who is celebrating his tenth year as host. we spoke with carey about what is new for fans. >> we have a brand new game for the season premiere called grid lock and it was invented by our director, adam sandler, it is not adam sandler but his name is adam sandler and he invented a bunch of games on the show. it is a cool card game, has a nice set up, and i don't know we will see how it goes. it is a pretty easy game to play. to me, it is a better than 50/50 chance to win for a car. >> wow. >> you can catch new season of the price is right monday morning at 11:00 right here on cbs-3 followed by "eyewitness news" at
