you can see the water is right up the sea wall. normally an area where people are sunbathing, further out you can see how strong the way waves are crashing up. few feet high. expected to grow larger. now, we don't expect a category 1 hurricane to make landfall but it is trending close enough in the atlantic, the jersey shore is really starting to feel the forces storm. the brunt is expected this morning and through the mid afternoon. and atlantic to cape may are looking at potential gusty winds up to 40 miles an hour and coastal erosion that has gone to recent i replenishment to the coast. ready for whatever jose brings, residents are hoping the storm really won't bring much.

jim over to you another day of heavy showers brought high water back to houston, one was under wed and closed down by police after four and a half inches of rain fell in one hour. showers of scattered rains are in the houston forecast and the rain in the factor for the rest of the week. there are reports of three spills at one of houston's dirtiest toxic waste sites in the aftermath of harvey, they incurred at a form petroleum industry waste processing plant, contaminated with a brew of cancer causing can chemicals. more than a dozen super fund sites flooded during harvey. >> a lot of bacteria, a lot of touching stuff, no -- we have to do what we have to. >> the epa plans to test the water and soil near the super fund sites but there's no tearing table to start the work.
