taking away the spotlight from the story that dominated the league all weekend long. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at the linc with more on the response the president trump's criticism, pro athlete who kneeled during the national anthem. good morning. trang? >> reporter: good morning, more than 200nfl players participate in the some kind of demonstration during the national anthem, including the eagles here at the linc. eagles players and staff fighting back sunday, arms locked in protest of president trump's criticism of nfl players who demonstrate during the national anthem. >> wouldn't outlove see one of these nfl owners when somebody disrespects our flag? and say get that son of a ( beep) off the field right now out, he's fired. >> many felt the president was referring to former 49ers quarterback colin kaepernick, the first nnl player to take a knee to protest the brutality and killings of the police. president's comments on friday sparking a wave of activism that swept the nfl on sunday.

demonstrations on twitter saying that standing with locked arms is good, but kneeling is not acceptable. when questioned by reporters, he denied his comments were racially motivated. but for now, live outside lincoln financial field, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you >> all right, trang, thank you in other news, neighbors in montgomery county community returned to help a pilot after he crashed his small plane into a home in whitpain township. the chaotic scene unfolded yesterday afternoon on meade road. eyewitnesses say the plane hit several trees before strike the home. one person was inside that house, at the time, but was not hurt. pieces of the aircraft, well, they were strewn all over several lawns. >> i was out back, and i heard a plane clearly sounded like it was in distress, and i look up, it was flying way too close to our house. and then next thing i know, i hear the crash, ran out front, and saw a bunch of debris. >> now the pilot was taken to area hospital. no update on his condition at

this point. one neighbor recounted the moment he found the pilot unresponsive in a bush. >> next to the guy. kind of holding him. and there was no pulse. he reaches to find a pulse, then realize there was a seatbelt around the guy's neck that will was the problem right there. we were able to cut that off. and by then police and fire showed up. >> now, authorities say the crash happened about a mile from the end of the intended runway at wings field airport. the cause of the crash is under investigation. new this morning, the hunt for suspect after a 17 year old boy is shot in the chest during a home invasion in chester county. happened 700 block of worth boulevard in pottstown around 11:00 last night. two men and woman broke into the apartment, opened fire, and then took off. police k9 cracked the scent to nearby parking lot, where police believe a get-away car was park. we're told the victim in extremely critical condition. >> police also on the hunt for two men they say broke into a west philadelphia home, and then opened fire on woman and her dog.

this happened on the 5100 block of duke street last night. the victim told police two men wearing scarfs over their faces kicked in her back door and fired a shot at her dogs: the woman and the dog were not hurt. suspects got away with a cell phone. >> learning more this morning about police involved shooting in philadelphia. authorities say an officer opened fire after being targeted by a lazer from a gun the shoot-out happened saturday night, near 13th and york streets, in north philadelphia. officers say they were interviewing the victim of cell phone theft, when two men approached, one officer saw a red lazer dot on his shirt. suddenly shots rang out. the officers dropped the to the grounds, one fired back, no officers were hurt, the shooters got away. >> well, president trump has revised his travel ban. details for you still ahead. >> also ahead, take a lack at this, this is actually not a tornado. we'll tell you where a dust definitely was captured on camera. >> finds out where this wintery scene is playing out, the snow there is creating a headache for drivers, but here at home, seeing temperatures near the 90s today.
