some stayed until the lockerroom until the anthem was over. though some booed the players, some knelt in solidarity. on friday the president said players who protest the the national anthem should be fired. >> in other news after some twists and turns in court last week, the suspect charged with punching a disable man has now pleaded guilty in the attack. our joel holden in the courtroom, join us live from west chester with all of the details, good afternoon, joe. >> jim, good afternoon, in all reality left to be seen what barry baker was going to do. you remember that back in may he was accused of sucker punch a man with cerebral palsy. that after making fun of him late night here outside a 7-eleven in west chester. well, today, baker appeared once again before the same judge, in a white dress shirt, black pants, and checker colored sneakers. he told the judge that, yes, indeed, he was guilty on two charges, one charge simple assault, the other charge, flight from apprehension, because barry baker ran from

police as they were hunting him down trying to put him behind bars on number of charges from domestic, other related to the assault charge, but baker this noon taking responsibility for landing that punch against the victim, michael ryan. now, we spoke to the victim's father, outside of court. have a listen to how he characterized the event. >> it was really unbelievable that he would be as stupid to think that somebody's going buy that story, when there is fact and video that proves otherwise. so i don't know what he was trying to do by backing into a corner like that. i didn't understanded what was doing. but as they say, it is hard to fix stupid. >> and that's patrick ryan talking about last week when barry baker tried to claim that he ran into the victim sometime earlier in the night, and he and the victim had words. essentially he told the judge today that never happened. of course the latest coming up on "eyewitness news" at 5:00.

hear what the victim in all of this had to say from the event reporting live in west chester , joe holden, cbs-3, " eyewitness news." >> thank you, joe. in other news, former new york congressman anthony weiner has been sentenced to 21 months in prison, in his sexting case. weiner arrived at new york courthouse earlier this morning, he pled guilty to elicit contact with a 15 year old girl, using skype and snap chat. the fbi was investigating weiner and reopened the investigation of hillary clinton's emails, after finding emails between clinton and weiner's wife uma, a clinton aid. she has filed for divorce. president trump has ordered a new travel ban on citizens from eight countries, the indefinite restrictions every people traveling to the u.s., from libya, syria, iran, yemen, somalia, chad, north korea. officials and their families are also barred, and will go into effect october 18th. next month the supreme court is set to hear arguments on the legality of president

trump's temporary ban on victims from six counties are, those expired yesterday. >> committee hearing is set for this afternoon on senate republicans newest efforts to repeal and replace the affordable care act. revised version of the bill gives state more money to create their own healthcare systems, and ease, faces however major hurdle, senators already against the bill, and two more states, leaning toward voting though. republicans do control the senate, 52 to 48. they have until saturday to call vote for simple majority. >> well the week is getting do you have steamy start, specially for fall. >> kate, are we going to flirt with record heat? >> i think we've got that here guys, looks as though we will hit zero nine here today. pretty close to it already, in a couple of spots. coming up: talk about how long this stretch of heat will really be lasting us, eventually, fall does make a return appearance. i'll let you know when coming

quickly track maria. it be there making not just turn out to sea, very sharp turn, out to sea. take a look at the track, all the sudden it goes right on out there. going to make that noise, too. just kidding. but it is thankfully going to bypass our area, it very brief ly hits the coastline, warnings, watches posted along that specific shore line. but not even up toward the delmarva peninsula, let alone the delaware beaches. so we are definitely going have rough surf, rip countries being over the next couple of days, a give edge, we don't have any direct impact from the storm. meantime the trough had a is going to dig in here, really knocks our temperatures back. so it will take couple every days, but it will be the game changer, pattern changer for those every you no the crazy about this, rahel, starting to get tired of it, too. that tells you something. because she loves this. all right, meanwhile, outside to beach patrol headquarters, a loft folks enjoying the beach. usually one of the quiet err beaches we see in margate, quite a few beach chairs lining the shore, but careful.
