was, the humidity will still be high as we head into wednesday and then some big changes by the end of the weekend. the weekend i think you're going to like. let's take a peek at what's going on right now. a beautiful shot of the city all lit up tonight. center city from our camera there at the parkway central library. everything is lit up and it's very comfortable out there. temperatures in the low 70s still. it's warm but not as hot as it was today. the sun goes down earlier now that means it cools off a little more quickly. take a peek at the time lapse today, not the best beach day but still the beach got packed if you're down the shore or at the delaware beaches this week, if you like to go in september when the crowds are a little bit less this week was perfect, whether weather a lot warmer than it usually is. although the ocean water still a little bit rough. we'll talk more about that in just a moment. as far as storm scan 3 is concerned tonight, no problems out there just a few clouds but of course we've got to talk

about maria. maria is still sitting and spinning off the coast so how do you solve a problem like? with a cold front in this case. temperatures right now 72 in philadelphia, 74 in allentown, 69 in mill vil and at the atlantic city airport let's zoom back to the west where you can see the blue colors and the dark green, those are temperatures behind a very strong cold front that's slicing into the midwest here now, still very warm in chicago and st. louis. but this is going to take the eastern half of the country in chunks over the next few days and by the end of the week we're going to feel the cooler air as well. it's also going to help sweep maria out to sea. today we got to 91. the normal just 75. we were one degree shy of that record of 92 setback in 1970. as that front sweeps in it's going to usher in some cool, canadian air later this week, and that jet stream, the strong winds behind the front are going to carry maria further out to see. time thg out, as you can see we head into tomorrow, a few clouds but a mostly sunny afternoon.

heads to the north, looks pretty ominous but here's our saving grace. that front starts to come through. got a couple of showers with it and watch what happens. it picks up maria and steers it right out to sea clearing us out on thursday. the humidity drops on thursday and the temperature really drops by friday. maria weakening to a tropical storm, take that sharp right turn. that thing is out of here quickly steered by the front. winds still 10-20 miles per hour seas in new jersey 4-6 feet down in delaware 8-12 feet. dangerous rip currents and beach erosion continuing with that system lurking offshore. indirect impacts but no direct impacts expected for us here in the city at least t as far as your tuesday is concerned, morning fog, warm and humid 86. wednesday is warm and humid as well. more clouds than sunshine. thursday still warm but it's going to feel completely different. we're going to cut the humidity
