police say they found 391 year-old victim unconscious and rushed him to the hospital where he is now listed in very kate cool condition. a 36 year-old would mains dead and two children are hurt after a car collided with a septa trolley in northern liberties. the accident happened yesterday, just after 4:00 p.m. on the 400 block of west girard avenue month. man who was driving was pronounced dead at the scene. the children were taken to the local hospitals. police say their injuries are not believed to be serious. the cause of the crash is under investigation. this morning septa's regional rail services are running as scheduled but that was not the case yesterday when a power outage cause aid chaotic commute. septa says a few dozen passengers on the paoli thorndale line jumped off the trains with some of the cars, who power yesterday. to get passengers safely off the track septa was forced to shut down rail services at the height of the evening rush hour. >> people are in a weird situation, they don't react well, they have never been in that situation before. >> that is scary, why would people do something like that. >> septa police some

back over to you. well, weeks after hurricane harvey hit texas a woman has died from a flesh eating bacteria in a suburb outside of houston. authorities say that the 77 year-old victim fell inside of a home contaminate by flood waters. serious bacterial infection quickly spread and killed soft tissues in the body. symptoms include fever, nausea , vomiting. doctors say it is critical for people exposed to flood what the tours keep any wounds they have covered. >> after hurricane katrina we saw a big up tick in serious wound infections, it is one of the infections we are on the look out for here after harvey with immediate medical attention you can get prompt antibiotic therapy, also, removal of any of the infected tissue and that can save your life. >> just horrible. cdc says most people who get this flesh eating bacteria usual live other health problems and have a hard time fighting off infections.

will soon start to feel like football weather. >> yes, it will, it is an absolute sure thing. we are looking to much cooler weather as we look at the month officially but it is definitely been a warm couple weeks. when we look at the calendar over last few weeks we have been all over the place. we will put things in motion and see where we ended up in the burnt orange shaded boxes we are registering warmer than average. which is bulk of the last two weeks. then in that blue air were, cooler then average. it all works out, that we are now currently, slightly above average by 2.5 degrees. few more days left on the month as a whole and it is appearing to look like it will level off to closer to 1 degree above average as a whole, since that heat was extreme for a couple days. looking at actual air temperatures right now we are still in the mid 70's. you will be able to walk out without the need of an extra layer and will not need it

patients is running thin among people living in puerto rico, most of the island is still without power more than a week after hurricane maria hit. >> is there more outrage after finding out that a lot of emergency supplies are stuck in shipping containers, because there is not enough fuel and drivers to distribute them, "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves heading to puerto rico for a firsthand look at the devastation. she joins us from philly international airport where she's about to board her flight. there has been so much coverage about this in puerto rico. what is your expectation what do you expect to find when you get there. >> quite honestly i think i'm a little nervous. the devastation we have seen through video over and over i have heard over the last couple days since i covered this story in philadelphia that it is nothing like what it is on the ground. i'm expecting at the airport we know the tower there, we know there is some wifi there, there is some, in san juan but weather is humid. i'm expecting that our communication will be in and

out. that is what people in our area have been experiencing. so many have them said they have in the been able to get in contact with their loved won. we have in new jersey and pennsylvania we have the third and fourth largest puerto rican population in the country. we have hundreds of thousands of people from puerto rico hoff family there, who are connected there and who i have spoken to so many of them hoff just been enduring this from here from the states and some pleaded with to us get down there. now we are finally heading there. >> i understand you actually asked for this assignment, why so? >> reporter: the last couple days we have been covering this story since maria hit since aftermath, i have met so many people. on sunday i went to the puerto rican day parade and person after person had same story of desperation of wanting to contact their loved one and being so surprise by that devastation. i'm puerto rican. i have connected with that island. i have been there so many

times, my heritage is puerto rico. my family fridays puerto rico. i definitely felt a personal connection and i'm connect with people in our area, that are going through this from a far and dealing with the devastation from a far. and you also have, family living there, right now, and, is what your experience been, have you been able to contact them. >> reporter: it took us five days to finally get contact in contact with migrate grandmother who is 95 years old and i shared that in my earlier stories late last week that was such a sigh of relief she's 95 years old. last time we heard from her, there was water flowing in her house. then weep got disconnected. for the rest of my family and my other cousins we have not heard from them. i have a grandfather, in a southern part of the island and that is an area where there has not been any kind of communication and people haven't been able to get video out from the p.o. nce area i

morning, jill. >> good morning. >> what does president wants to do with individual taxes. >> this plan would reduce number of tax brackets to seven to three, 12, 25, and 35 . but there is also the possibility of adding a fourth black it to the highest income tax pairs. now remember the top rate is 39.6 percent, lowest rate is 10 percent. big missing part of this announcement, what is the break down of income levels to which the new rates apply, without that it is hard to figure out how this impacts you right. plan calls for increasing the standard deductions from three 50/50 to 12,000. 24,000. that could make filing process easier for folks itemizing, maybe avoid that. also, raising the child tax credit, from $1,000, right now to some unspecified amount.

you are getting this picture here unspecified lack of details. there would be a creation of the new $500 tax credit for dependents, an elderly parent. plan would retain deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions. would it eliminate state and local tax deductions, hurting those in high tax areas, maybe like in pennsylvania abolish alternative minimum tax and estate tax. >> i know folks in parks new york, new jersey are looking at that because we pay such high local taxes and state taxes. >> so what about corporate taxes. >> well, plan would slash the top rate from the current 35 percent, to 20 percent. but here's, that was floated around for a while. the president had wanted 15 percent. there will be some change for repay tree eighthing off shore dollars we don't know the rate yet. here's big interesting piece a new, 25 percent, rate which would apply to so-called pass through corporation.
