to put our best foot forward and fall back from taylor jackets, velvet, camouflage, coming up next fall trends you will want to be seen in starting this weekend, katie. certainly time to break out the heavier gear, for this kind of weather that we're looking forward to here, so we are going to see a shower around this weekend, specifically through saturday but it generally is going to be a nice, cool, weekend, forecast with temperatures only in the upper 60's, flirting with the 70 but there is a up that happens beyond that point. we will walk you through that entire forecast after the break.

days and nights, october arrives this weekend so time to step in fall fashions. joining me from philadelphia style magazine is kristin, who is here with the season's top five fall trends for woman. kristin, always good to see you. >> you too. >> let's talk about taylor jackets, let's start there mens wear inspired is a definitely feeling more feminine we found this at century 21, eighth and market, think designer labels, much more friendly prices. >> right. >> i'm wearing this velvet blazer from skirt, they have locations in the suburbs and rittenhouse. basically think mens wear inspired, it is trimmer, stronger shoulders and a little bit longer. >> i like longer with dresses, it is pretty. >> feels more versatile and more classic. >> velvet. >> yes you are wearing velvet. >> that is one of the biggest trends of the season. we are seeing that on everything from athlete leisure inspired, sneakers more lux we found them at bus stop boutique around fourth and south and couple of the bag and camy, located in olde
12:17 pm
city, they have great inspired , finds but we are seeing velvet on everything. >> awesome, beautiful especially that bag, gorgeous. >> how about red, lot of crisp red. >> reds in all hughs. i think of the colors trending this season, mustard, green, readies definitely most versatile and most classic. we found all of these, gorgeous red pieces, earrings, mini skirt, hats, at d.c. ci boutique. they have a great instagram, everything is about a hundred dollars or not much more than a hundred dollars. >> booties. >> i wish i could wear them all year long. >> you cannot have too many. we will see these, i think they are, they are always sort of in. they are a fall stapel. we found these at benjamin lovel. two styles from benjamin lovel , long time philadelphia retailer and we will seat them with everything, velvet, print s and classic gray won which i absolutely love.
12:18 pm
>> also camouflage, i like camouflage. >> do i too, in and out, this season it is definitely back in a bigger way. we found two great pieces. just dipping your toe in the camo trend we found these at century 21 with a floral detail. this a is mag camouflage sweater we found the skirt, as well. >> i'm feeling like fall fashion is one of the best things about the season. and summer ending but fall fashion for sure. always good to see you. >> thank you. >> find all of these looks in the philadelphia style magazine, kristin, thank you. >> thank you. >> katie, we will send it over to you, some stylish layers will come in hand think weekend, katie. >> oh, you said it, absolutely we have been off to a cool start since this morning, rahel and that is the theme all weekend long. so, a lot of pumpkin picking expeditions, i think underway this weekend, that kind of thing, you will have, excuse to break out those fall layers if you have already. is what interesting is look at the activity, this place is
12:19 pm
hopping. this is a live look at sky scan three at ocean city there are a lot of people on the boardwalk which is lovely to see. i love that they are still on dry land because you don't want to go in the water. even though it is still warm right now. keep in mind that rip current risk remains high at this hour and right through the rest of the day because maria even though it is still moving out to sea still somewhat close by let's switch and show you different cameras out to berks county where at kutztown area middle school. looking close you can see shadows from the cloud moving through. wind is still light but there is motion in the atmosphere helping to move these cloud along and thinks generally sky that we will find, more sun then anything but certainly couple patchy cloud along the way as well. we will stay on the cool side. yesterday we eked out an above average day even though it was dramatically cooler by comparison, still 5 degrees above what was average yesterday so still two more days left of the month, currently we are trending 2.6 above is what average and once we have valleys out, we will be above average but we did
12:20 pm
have, at lee first week and a half of september off to a cool start. we're likely to wrap up much more seasonal. the temperature change just in the last 24 hours taking from noon time yesterday to now we are at a 10-degree deficit out there as it relates to the thermometer we are talking generally mid to upper 60's, lower 70's, up in the mountains, it is cool, 53 still at best but the wind is generally much, much calmer so not adding to that chill. but sure feels like fall outside. very crisp feeling to the air. when we talk dew points as low as this, that is incredibly dry air. yesterday we had the fire risk because of it in fact. we are at a point now where we are off the chart quite literally. low as we go on the comfort index is 50, that feels awesome with just perfect hair days, you know, for days but when we are down in the 40's like that it is incredibly dry air. now with that said we have another disturbance going to be rolling in here.
12:21 pm
this is a reenforcing shot of cool air that will knock temperatures back more, come tomorrow. this is going to set off a shower in spots, primarily late tonight and anytime tomorrow, especially in the eastern half of the area. you have to cancel outdoor plans? absolutely not. these are light, very spotty showers but they are certainly also worth a mention. meanwhile i want to draw your attention to this batch of showers and thunderstorms working their way in to south florida right now. that has about four in 10 chance of turning into something, bigger, in tropical sense. if it were to do that next name on the list would be nate but right now it is still, just a 40 percent chance. here's maria way further out to sea even this same time yesterday. that is really moving along. thankfully by the time we hit weekend and beyond the rip current risk and surf will have eased up on us. temple's back in town at the link and tomorrow looks like perfect football weather. modest breeze from the north, partly sunny skies, 63 degrees at kick off. there could be a shower around but you'll in the to have plan
12:22 pm
around that for tailgating purposes i don't think. we have union also at home this union on sunday afternoon , beautiful fall afternoon, 68 degrees in full sunshine, also with that wind remaining nice and light. beyond that point it is just stretch of sunshine all courtesy of high pressure we can thank that for it where we have in the only dry, sunny days coming up here from sunday right through thursday but also a nice warming trend that will take place each and every day you tack on a couple degrees or at lee one and to the point where we hit wednesday or thursday we are flirting with 80's all over again. >> perfect. >> little warmer but in the so much warm as it has been. >> excessive. >> i like it. >> thanks, katie. tonight we are starting a new segment on "eyewitness news" at 11:00 to celebrate heroes behind the headlines, we call it three cheers. here's cbs-3 anchor jessica dean with the preview. >> reporter: hi everyone, have you ever seen someone while watching the news whose actions inspired you or maybe they make you feel better about your community or just
