gorgeous out here upper 70s expectation for daytime highs. light wind low humidity we can check off owl those boxes for comfortable weather and absolutely beautiful weather for the rest of the day. a little warmer by day's end than what we've seen in recent days even the last few days already a smidge above average. let's see where we currently stand. high pressure is still locked in place and that is what's going to deliver this absolutely beautiful day. storm scan of course it's been empty now for days, and it continues to be so. as we take look elsewhere around the region in terms of temperature, there we go that clicker temperatures already in the mid 70s from reading, out toward wilmington, low 70s up and down i-95, and we're currently at 70 a pose both in ac and wildwood as well. but it's just comfortable outside. thermometer reading aside it feels good to be out here but again it's another one of those days where maybe you walk out the door in sweat pants or heavier jacket perhaps now you'll be able to get rid of that. put on shorts and t-shirt for an afternoon maybe nice long dog

warmth but it's still little warmer than it was a recent days and that is a theme. i mean it's just only going to warm up from here with every passing day. we're actually going to end up peeking by the time we hit the weekend but we also have some showers to dodge. all part of the major pattern change that's going -- it's gradual but it's start to go take shape and start to go get underway. and really it's a frontal boundary just one front boundary going to dictate how this all takes place. in addition we've got tropical stuff to talk about. lots to get tom let's take look at storm scan first stuck in frontal boundary at the regional eye level moving along somewhat sluggishly even though again this is somewhat of a gradual change of pace for us you can start to tell that this is beginning to weaken a little b bit. and that will continue to be the case as it heads our way. so yeah we might end up with a shower down the road here maybe several by the time we hit the weekend but nothing all that major i wouldn't be calling this a wash out by any stretch heading toward the weekend. wide zoom high pressure is on our side if you look closely you

can see the movement of the atmosphere high pressure in the northern hemisphere clockwise rotation so all of that moisture and any movement in the atmosphere is moving around that essentially until high pressure gets out of the way an laos this front to come along. let's briefly touch on the tropics. we've been watching an area of showers and thunderstorms just off the coast of florida. this really doesn't look like it's going amount to much but we do have tropical depression on our hands at this point. this guy tropical depression number 16 in all likelihood even before today is all said and done will become nate and, yes, it's headed toward the gulf of mexico. at this point, it looks like it will be further toward the northeastern edge of the gulf coastline here. ends up getting hit by whatever this turns into. but there's a possibility it does become not just tropical storm but a hurricane and may land as a hurricane along the southeast coastline this would be toward the weekend. we may draw some of that moisture into early to next midweek. is he we'll need to keep an eye on that too. we still have high pressure on our side. here comes the front much it's
12:21 pm
getting strung out. it will officially sort of stall nearby. that allows the southerly wind flow to continue to warm things up out in advance of it. because the front is nearby because the ridge has enough moisture there's likelihood we see showers namely friday scattered spotty in fashion and then again on sunday probably into next week as well. but along with the warmth the humidity also starts to creep up. you'll have yourselves a nice little taste of august by the time we hit the weekend here. the humidity again creeps up on us to the point that we on our comfort index classify it as a humid day. thankfully not oppressive nor unsufferable. outside we go to one much our live neighbor network shots. 69 degrees, perfect view of that center city skyline off in the distance and comfortable 69-degree temperature right now. the wind does remain light today you may notice a hinder of a breeze throughout date but it really isn't going to be anything that bothers you throughout the day. lots of sunshine. 78 degrees the high. this is warmer than yesterday. so the warming trend is now underway.
12:22 pm
and tonight, as a blanket of cloud cover settles in we're talking very mild just 62 for the overnight low. so really comfortable all in a all. but again the humidity does creep up on us. so the highlights here i think more than anything it's the wa warmth. six of the next seven days you're at least 80 degrees but the there will be a stray or isolated shower friday on eagles game day sunday i think right now any way those showers come around during midday so you may want to think right now about how you would plan if you're going to be out tailgating you might want to think i think you got a fashionable pod show. >> does that consist. >> either way it might be a good idea. >> oxymoron. >> indeed it. >> hefty bag for your head. >> or that. >> well, take look at this what beautiful sight this colorful lantern show lit up the sky in chain n the presentation was part of a mid autumn festival tradition dates back 1,000 years to the tank dynasty. the show features nate giant lanterns each telling their own story se surround beside smaller
