over the country. >> reporter: 1700 tables worth packing greater philadelphia expo center for gun october fess this friday through sunday. patrick mccarthey is helping organize the event and says he understands the sensitivity of the moment. >> it is a very tough thing in this country to discuss guns but conversation has to be had obviously. >> reporter: that conversation is centered around a bump stop , simply put it turns a semiautomatic weapon where trigger need to be pulled each time for each bullet in tie simulated automatic weapon where one trigger pull can spray dozens of round. investigators found bump stops in the room of the gunman stephen paddock, and we found out, there are no laws restricting sale of bump stops in pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. although in new jersey because of the long standing assault weapons ban, actually attaching and using a bump stock could turn a legal weapon into an illegal one. >> in just nine minutes an individual was able to turn a

concert venue into a battle field. >> reporter: today democratic senators including pennsylvania's bob casey are proposing a ban on bump stops, mccarthey says any gun safety measures are worth having a conversation about in the wake of what happened. >> right now it always seems when an unfortunate incident like this happens, that right away one side wants to ban guns the other side doesn't want to do anything. i think we have to sit down and have a rational discussion where we go forward in this country. >> reporter: bump stop ban was part of the larger weapons restriction package, the senate took off, 2013 but that is received only 40 votes. renry rossoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". police arrested a man caught on camera skirting a wal-mart customer that happened in turnersville last week. surveillance video clearly shows man following the victim and then pointing his cell phone camera under her skirt. victim turned around to catch him in the act. police have not released the

suspect's name. underground transformer fire sent black smoke and big flames, to a philadelphia sidewalk, and street. the delays turned recall nut street between eighth and tenth street and caused grid lock near jefferson and wills eye hospital. chopper three captured crews drenches fire this water this morning and peak he worker used a device to stop the flames. about 80 customers who power for a time. a big false alarm today, residents showed up at police station with the devices he found in his son's bedroom. they were initially thought to contain explosive material, and it turns out they were training devices brought home by that man's son in the military. well, eagles don't play until sunday but there is plenty of philly sports fans, sports fans to see it in. 76ers open up their preseason schedule in south philadelphia and flyers open up their regular season out west in san jose. youth will be on display in more ways then one.

and really looking forward to some cool views of the area on "eyewitness news" from plymouth meeting. so, exciting to unveil that for you today. storm scan three showing what we have coming our way, this cool front is moving across the great lakes but this is not our typical run of the mill code front that comes through with a couple showers and then cools us down, this will stay around for a couple days unfortunately and head back north as a warm front. actual cold front is still all the way back to portions of the south central united states that front likely not coming through until next week we will talk about temperatures above average, humidity above average and even chance for couple scattered showers here and there for the next few days this front doesn't have a lot of moisture but you can see the trend, sag southward tomorrow and then friday note that is front becomes stationary and then starts to activate back north as a warm front. this is warm sector of the storm. see this here quad rant between warm front and cold front that is where heat is and you get southeasterly win

w that front stalling just to the north we will get in the southerly flow and humidity increases and along that stalled boundary can't rule out a couple showers in the weekend but next week that an area of low pressure will ride along that front and bring us better chance for rain. watch how scattered these showers are over next couple days, tomorrow we will start with just a few cloud in the afternoon cloud will be around it is not a full sunshine kind of day like we have been seeing stray shower tomorrow afternoon to the north, possibly a few showers tomorrow night as a batch comes through, friday, cloud, and then again maybe a stray sprinkle but not much it is just more cloud cover and warm and humidity that we will be feeling over next few days. then we have to watch tropical depression 16, heading north and it is expect to move over the yucatan peninsula and hit the gulf of mexico likely as a depression. doesn't look like it will strengthen new moisture pulled up eastern seaboard and will likely impact us on monday, columbus day into tuesday of next week that is our next
