an absolute mess. >> this morning, so much so good on this friday morning, some construction. >> and still looking pretty quiet weather wise, morning drive overall at least weather wise, we've been lucky. i know we haven't had the same luck specifically on the roadways, you won't encounter any problems here. actually going to see cool shot at this point anywhere of the moon. maybe few clouds trying to skew that view. but it is the harvest moon we will be talking more about that throughout the morning. meanwhile, storm scan, yes, basically empty at this point. safe for vale of cloud cover, relatively happy in nature, but it is certainly very mild. look at this, still flirting with 70 at philadelphia international airport. now, we have few hours before the sun comes up, likely that temperature will impact and fall off few more degrees as it tends to do, but still very comfortable start to the day, most instances could you walk out the door without the need of an extra layer this morning , even in palmyra 79067 degrees. the day progresses and can only go up from here, the the

again, crews mover out of the direction and i'll let you know. then quick peak at 422 westbound at route 23, you can see all of the construction crews there. you can also see long line of headlights out there. wow that's a lot. more than what we saw i would say 15 minute ago, right lane blocked in the southbound direction, so i'll let you know as soon as this clears, right now we keep an eye on. >> this jim, rahel, back over to you. >> thank you shall meisha. to the latest on the mass shooting in las vegas, investigators are learning more about the gunman and his elaborate plan. >> authority say steven paddock living secret life. they're still trying to figure out a motive for the massacre, officials say the gunman fired at concert goers from the 32nd y forrester filing ten mitt, he had escape plan but decided to take his own life when police close in the on him. new evidence also is suggesting that paddock checked out other possible venues before unleashing his wrath. correspondent danielle nottingham more from las vegas >> investigators reconstructing stefan paddock 's movement say the las

vegas gunman looked at bigger music festivals like la la palooza before setting his sites on country music concert outside mandalay bay sunday night. officials say in august paddock booked a room at the black stone hotel overlooking la la palooza in chicago, but never checked in. he booked another room last month for the life is beautiful show near the having eggs strip. may also have researched locations near boston fenway park. police are looking for anyone who came in contact with paddock before the shooting, including a woman reportedly seen with him at the mandalay bay casino. paddock's girlfriends, marilou danley, spoke with the fbi wednesday. law enforcement officials irma tells cbs news danley was concerned about paddock's mental stability. >> doesn't fit any of the profiles until they can actually completely complete this investigation, we're not going to know what was on his mind. and we may never know actually >> since october of last year,

paddock stockpiled 33 weapons from different gun stores in several state, avoiding any red flags. his car also contained ammunition, fertilizer, and the powerful explosive. a moment of silence was observed at the patriots buccaneers game thursday night , in memory of paddock's victims. danielle nottingham, cbs-3, " eyewitness news." >> and rare bipartisan concensus on gun control in the wake that far mass shooting, congress and the national rifle association agree that something needs to be done about bump fire stock, illegal gun accessary used by the las vegas shooter made the it fire quickly almost like a bands automatic weapon. they say they should be subject to additional regulations and republican lawmakers say they're open to bang the access rivalry. >> gunoctober fest opens at the philadelphia montgomery expo center, no legislation restricting bump fire stocks

in pennsylvania, and that topic could dominate discussions at the show. officials say gun safety will also be in the spotlight at the show this weekend. >> well, mold forces new jersey officials to shutdown gloucester county elementary school. holly glenn elementary school in williamstown will be closed starting today. "eyewitness news" was at a board of education meeting last night, the board decided they'll bus holly glenn students to other schools until they can get rid of the mold. parents are outraged the district didn't test for mold sooner. the superintendent listened to parent's concerns for two hours. >> to close the school for short periods every time or longer to break the -- bring the school back to what we consider safe operating guidelines. >> i feel like it could be too late if that levels are as hi, and just now finding out about it. >> i'm happy they're closing it down, my concern is bussing all of these kids to another school over crowded classrooms , and i try to keep

her in environments clear of any mold, and i'm sending her there every day. >> the school's 537 student will be temporarily relocated to three other schools until the mold is removed. there is no word on how long that could take. >> delaware high school student suspended after racist picture surfaces on social media. take a look. that picture there shows the mascot from kent county, the it has the "n" word written on it, continues reading they don't belong. they learned. picture wednesday night, understandably student tell " eyewitness news" they're upset. >> my heart dropped kind of, made me want to cry because it was like very disrespectful. >> i wasn't surprised. you hear stuff around the school today, and it is not to that extreme, but it is somewhat close to it. i wasn't surprised. i was hurt. >> delaware department of justice issued a statement reading in part: this type of

conduct the school should pursue disciplinary action. there is insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges at this time. >> philadelphia police are searching for a home invasion suspect, accused of sexually assaulting a 57 year old woman this happened early tuesday morning in olney. police say the suspect forced his way into a home on the 5800 block of marshall street and held had i victim at gunpoint. after taking money, wallet, and smart phone, he assaulted the woman, then tried to get away in her car, after brief struggle he will with a neighbor the suspect ran away. meanwhile this man, kenneth mason, facing charges this morning, chester county paramedic accused of sexually assaulting a boy taking part in a job shadowing program over the summer. police say mason inapropriate ly touched the boy during ride along through the pen medicine chester county hospital paramedic unit. the victim told police that the assault happened during the overnight shift while he and mason were parked in a remote second shop of west

chester. >> a deadly motorcycle crash has shutdown part of the schuylkill expressway overnight, all lanes, how much , have since reopened. that crash happened around 10:30 last night on the highway near girard avenue. police say a motorcyclist was traveling eastbound, when he lost control and flew over the median. struck and killed by a car on the westbound side. at this point, police have not released the identity of the victim. >> well, coming up: still ahead, another tropical storm to watch after hitting central america, all eyes are now on nate, as it bears down on the gulf coast. >> also, coming up: bombshell allegations about hollywood powerhouse harvey weinstein, how he is responding to dozens of accusations of sexual harrassment. >> and cam newton's apology, we'll show you what he post today social media after controversial comments were made to a female reporter. we are back in two minute.

officials in costa rica say seven people were killed, and 15 are still missing. flooding drove at least 5,000 people into emergency shelters , forecasters expect nate to strengthen into a category one hurricane before making landfall in louisianna over the weekend. and the rush is on, jim, in louisianna to prepare for the storm. folks swarmed their local grocery stores, grabbing water , bread, other essentials governor of louisianna has declared state of emergency ahead of the storm. some coastal part of the state are already being evacuated. officials are urging resident to get ready for rainfall, storm surge, and severe winds. >> time 4:42. >> katie here with another check of the forecast. we know you've been saying we may see renmant every nate. >> indeed we will, definitely looking like the early part of next week when that will happen. turning bit more unsettled in the meantime, which we will get tonight i want to show you the track of the storm, moisture eventually lift into our area. morning along, at relatively quick clip. by the time we hit columbus day, we have some of the moisture moving in.

and that likely ends up being the wettest day. currently, nate still tropical storm, likely to maintain that strength as it bypasses just barely grazing the uketon peninsula, then eventually will strike as well the at least part of the central gulf coastline, as a hurricane, so the likely be category one, as it is making it landfall, very close as you notice to new orleans. so all eyes on that area for the main impact at least when it comes to the u.s. coastline then it does get drawn into the rest of the pattern. so, we'll see it just bring the moisture our way, storm scan3 at the moment, still tracking frontal boundery that has now at this point stalled out, stuck in place, and even though it looks like today is primarily dry, maybe you see sprinkle, that's it, you don't need to walk out the door with the umbrella but the southerly winds flow still shoving in warmth and humidity. so you'll see some sun through the clouds, high hits 84 degrees. normal high is still only around 70 at best. so it is very, very warm for

i would say things tend to heat up little later maybe more toward the 6:00 hour anyway. forty-two freeway northbound creek road, approaching 29a plenty of headlights out there already on 42, just heads up on that. construction the schuylkill westbound at 30th street. all lanes are still block. waiting for crews to move out of the way. i'll let you know as soon as they do, again, all lanes block. construction 42 westbound, 422 westbound at route 23. we were looking at this, just little bit ago. because the ryan lane blocked. it was literally bumper to bumper conditions. that tension has eased little bit. crews are still out, there cones on the road, i'll let you noah as soon as that clears. construction, northbound between 295 and route 130, one lane compromised there. rahel, back to you. >> meisha, thank you. oscar winning producer harvey weinstein taking leave of absence after the new york times released a report alleging decades of sexual harrassment against women. the article includes several first person accounts of weinstein's alleged conduct including from actress ashley judd. she says weinstein greeted her in a bathroom two decades ago,

>> ♪ >> ♪ >> beautiful! love the music. love that shot. this is a picture that nasa tweeted of the harvest moon from last night. this is the full moon, as we've been explained to you throughout the week, closest to the autumnal equinox. harvest moon is different, that one special, it rise sooner, and it is called the harvest moon because farmers traditionally would have more time because they had more light because of the moonlight to bring in the crops and tends to their fields. cool stuff.

yes, because they've got summer crops, and longer days particularly that time of year , yes, what an absolutely gorgeous shot. i could look at that all day. all right, folks, avenue feeling we'll get some really pretty shots of the moon from our eyewitness weather watchers in the next hour. we put out the call for that from the guys tweeting, sending in the observations. storm scan, all clear, locally , you still have the frontal boundary though, strung out back toward the great lakes region. it is bringing in pockets of rain along the way, maybe we see sprinkle, most of will you stay dry, it certainly will feel steamier, however, humidity really ramp up. because again, if you don't have a front or some kind of a mechanism in the atmosphere to clear it out, you're just going to be stuck in a holding pattern. that's basically where we r friday, saturday, sunday, humidity only goes up from here. it feels steamier and steamier not to the point that it is particularly oppressive or insufferable, but for october certainly won't feel like fall to us out there. now sunday, not a washout by

any stretch. there will be some showers around. and likely throughout the middle part of the day, so that could put somewhat of a dam perron the eagles game. i don't think it will wash it out. by the time we hit monday, well, if you're going to be have to be headed out for columbus day, meisha, i highly suggest an umbrella. it will be a wealth day. >> looks that way, katie, thank you so much for that. good morning, hammy friday, guys. looking outside right now, looking at some construction crews, 95 north approaching route one, they've now since moved on out of the way, still looking good here on 95 north, schuylkill westbound at 30th street, also looking at the overnight closure, all lanes block here. crews have now just moved out of the way there, as well, so looking good, again, at the schuylkill westbound at 30th street. now, weaver some construction, some cones in the road here, 3422 westbound, at route 23, the left lane, both directions was blocked. i think like i said they're starting to get this cleared out of the way. and i would say 15, 20 minutes ago, actually seeing bumper to bumper conditions in that area , so i might almost give yourself couple of extra minutes.
