mexico and cuba we see it's moving over pretty warm water and set ongoing the gulf coast. the good news is this storm sped set up a bit. produc produc produc produc produced catastrophic flooding, and the longer it spends in the gulf, the strongerer the it will be, the faster it moves the weaker before landfall. here's the latest track and status from the national hurricane center. sustained wind at 65 miles an hour, it's just over cancun or just off the coast there. has just jumped to the north and had the latest update. it's now 70 updates in real time. 990 millibars and moving north northwest at 22 miles per hour. we'll set this into motion. it's expected to just in this is news to me, this just came in it is expected to restrengthen to category 1 before making landfall sooner than with the last day. it's expected to some

on shore likely near gulf or buloxi. this is late sunday or early sunday morning, this will be better news for new orleans, generally the worst is on the right front quadrant of that storm. that would be over the florida peninsula but new orleans in a hurricane warning that track could shift of only 50 miles or so would make a big difference, then it will be drawn northward by an event. by monday night it will be a remnant low but it will produce significant rainfall across the northeast into new england, i'll have the timing in our region and just how much we can expecting coming up in a bit. authorities are investigating a double shooting in trenton that left a 58-year-old woman dead an 14-year-old girl injured. this happened this afternoon at car very lane and north willow street, both victims were driven to the hospital.

teen suffered wound to her abdomen and arm, she's in stable condition, police have not made arrests. philadelphia police respond to a shooting in the mantua neighborhood tonight. a 48-year-old woman shot twice inside a store on fairmount avenue. the woman was rushed to the hospital and is now in critical condition. authorities say robbery may have been a motive. so far no arrests. vice president pence will be visiting las vegas tomorrow as authorities search for the motive behind the mass shooting, investigators say they're running down more than 1,000 leads, so far they do not know why the gunman shot and killed 58 people at a country musicfest sunday, authorities say there was not another shooter in the room on the 32nd floor of the mandalay bay. a plan is underway to put a billboard to get more information through tips. just days after the mass shooting one of the largest gun shows in our area is underway. david spunt worked to get answers in the debate over firearms.

spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> thank you alone hours the 6-year-old boy with special needs is dropped off at the wrong bus stop and tonight his mother is demanding answers. of marcus system mondays was put on the bus yesterday after school in holmesburg. the substitute driver was supposed to drop him off at roosevelt boulevard and homes avenue. instead, he got off the bus two stops earlier, marcus was worried mother said she didn't know where her son was two hours. >> i imagine how terrified he was. i kept thinking he really things that i forgot about him. he's wondering who will take care of him? where is his mother >> it is unacceptable this sort of thing to happen. we have procedures in place. >> a good samaritan found marcus and called 911. marcus's mother said the bus company was rude to her when she demanded answers. they tell us marcus slipped through the cracks philadelphia bunny sigler

river. it's pretty quiet. 71 is palmyra. stormscan 3 clear. what we have going on is a storm lifting over the great lakes, a front associated with i this fronts was a cool front and backache stationary now it will start to become a warm front. what happens is that warm front lifts north as we tap into the heat and humidity. that will be drawn northward into our region. the cold front associated with this low will eventually come through, that's the front that will pick up nate and spirit it northward into early next week. in the meantime hot and steamy, 74 in the city, 70 reading, 68 in wilmington, south breeze down the shore, 70 in wildwood. it will be warm and average high 70. we don't get close over the next five days, monday is the closest to normal and only reason it's in the 70's because it will rain much of the day. we're in the 80's. four out of the next five days, doesn't look like we'll be

breaking records. we fall short today. tomorrow, we should fall short by about eight degrees, sunday we'll be within about eight as well but not breaking records. there's our warm front. we start tomorrow with sun, clouds in the afternoon, looks like a generally dry day. 11:00 tomorrow night. that's when nate will be making landfall as a category 1 hurricane likely just east of new orleans but the entire region still in the cone of concern, mobile, this entire area where the heaviest rain will be. not a huge rain shield but it will be windy, storm search is a concern, gets picked up by the advancing cold front. couple of showers sunday but monday nate's circulation gets drawn into new england, the heaviest for us in the city will likely be monday afternoon or evening, some spots in our neck of the woods could pick up close to an inch of rain especially to the northwest.
