6:05 am
season progresses. and, they were without their best overall player, fletcher cox. so, this defense is looking strong, but they'll have to face a much different quarterback in cam newton, on thursday three faces of the game, certainly special, after losing darren sproles for the season, they turned to free agent canyon barner. he was awesome. he had a huge 76-yard punt return which helped set the tone early on in the game right here. giving the eagles great field position plus the birds also blocked the field goal at the end of the first half, the to fully take back momentum, excellent job on offense, defense, and special teens, as i said, came newton await them on short west, this thursday night, you can see the game right here on cbs-3, battle of two, four and one teams, coming up at 6:30, john, bleeding green nation, 94wip will join us to discuss if the eagles are a legitimate

that blow out game against the cards, yesterday, angelo actually said yesterday as he was watching that game he thought could this be the year that the birds actually take it all the way. he also talks a lot about one of the key players, carson wentz. >> carson wentz a big topic, people are looking at him now, seeing greatness, it is kind of interesting that donovan mcnabb, the greatest quarterback eagles ever had, came back to see him, and seems to be finally, you know, on board. because donovan was little skeptical before. so it is almost like the handing of the torch now from mcnabb to wentz, can he take us where mcnabb didn't? >> there that's the big question this evening, angelo with all of his commentary that he usually gives after each game. he actually says he doesn't have a lot to complain about, about the eagles this season, because they're playing so well, so a lot of excitement from fans, a lot of excitement here at wip, of course i'm sure a lot of the fans will be talking about that all day today. live at wip this morning,
