"eyewitness news" at 6:00 starts right now. so, the mold. >> mold. >> yes, people don't understand it is not if it i is one spot it can go anywhere >> reporter: developing right new growing concern in a south jersey school district, all school in one district are closed after mold was discovered there last week. that moves leaves thousands office students with no place to go. the decision was announce today as the rest of the buildings are inspected. good evening i'm jessica dean. i'm nicole brewer in for ukee washington. school closures effect 6,000 students at six different schools. "eyewitness news" reporter alycia nieves spoke with the

superintendent and concerned parents she's live in williamstown high school where a meeting is set to get underway in the hour, alycia. >> reporter: parents feel that the district closures could last more than the week that was announce today. that is in part because some of the parents who are behind me waiting outside for that meet to go start in the next hour or so some fear the mold issue is bigger one then the district thinks. concerning mold found at this new jersey elementary school, forced to it shut its doors last week. now this week every school in the same district will close. at least one week close another was announced last minute today, we were with one parent who was notified through a robo call at 2:30 this afternoon. >> we are closing as a precautionary measure to assure our schools are properly inspected. >> reporter: report brandy has a nine year-old son in this district. >> all year, he would come home with headaches, stomach aches, a doctor with him. i would change his medications around. difficult a lot to make sure

it wasn't something that, you know, maybe he didn't want to go to school. >> reporter: she even took her son to get an mri last year. she worries could possible mold at his school be a factor in her son's health issues. >> is there still not something we are not being told. >> we are doing everything we can to correct the situation to make sure everything goes through the procedures, and that we are opening the schools again when they are all clean. >> reporter: the superintendent says that while district had originally told parents at a meeting last week that only holy glenn elementary school was closed, the last minute switch to close all schools in the district is more of a precautionary measure. >> we want to make sure everything is the way it should be so everybody feels comfortable. >> reporter: the superintendent did tell us that about half of the schools in this district have already had that mold testing done. he is also hoping to have some of the results from those schools the that meeting and give those results to parents. we asked him about the

concerns parents have about this closure lasting beyond a week. he said he could not comment on that, he could not give us an updated time line and has to wait for results to come back. he expects an update this friday. reporting live from gloucester county, alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> aloft people waiting to hear about that, thank you. it was a big sunday in philadelphia in the battle on the bird and contest of the carsons. it was wentz that walked away with the win. eagles battled the cardinals scoring early and often and flying to an impressive victory in south philadelphia. we will have more than that big win in just a moment because tonight we are also looking ahead to thursday night football. you'll see bird battle the panthers right here on cbs-3, two, four-one teams this time verse carson verse cam in the nfc showdown to see which team will earn their fifth win. >> we have a lot of moving parts here, thursday will be amazing. >> yes. >> but first don bell, we have to digest what happened yesterday. >> yes, what went down. it was a happy sunday fun day

>> that is what this nastiness is. nate has come through and left not only rain behind but also, a lot of tropical humidity. it feels like we are stepping outside in the tropics right now, they are in the 70's but the dew points but heaviest rainfall from what was once hurricane nate has started to shift on out of here and up across portions of maine, canadian mar times and that is good news. we have lingering showers has we zoom into area. we can see showers poised to move into center city right new slowing things down on the schuylkill so folks heading home to work. waiting for someone to come home they may be slowed down with road spray and everything looking soggy. we have showers autopsy cross bucks county as well in the lehigh valley and can't rule out a stray shower at anytime tonight but cloud will be decreasing, as the night goes on. here's what we are looking at right now. rainfall since midnight we are seeing heaviest totals in the north and western suburbs. mount pocono at 1.58 inches of rain. doyletown over an inch. wilmington checking in with just shy of a in.

reading .76 of an inch n philadelphia .66 of an inch of rain since midnight last night steady rainfall this morning but good news is the front that picked nate up really swept the storm out quickly. it wasn't ongoing deluge of rain like it could have been. temperatures right now are in the 80's with the south wind, dew points almost to match, we have got dew points in the mid 70's, steam bat out there we will tell you how long warm and humid weather sticks around and we will check on the charlotte forecast for thursday night, jessica. gloucester county police are investigating a cause of the deadly head on crash between neighbors. two cars collided before 5:00 p.m. sunday on, sicklerville road between mule even drive. police say four people were killed including both drivers who lived on the same winslow township street. the passengers are in critical but stable condition, investigators said they are still working to determine what cause that had crash. >> i asked that anyone with any information any witness who believed they have a slight bit of information

new technology unveiled today in philadelphia shows how specially he equipped medical drones. >> health reporter stephanie stahl has more on what many are calling the future of

emergency medicine. >> reporter: thinks a demonstration of how a medical drone, would work. they are designed for emergencies like amtrak train crash where access to the scene is limited or more recently after hurricane in puerto rico as seen from drone watch three. first responders had trouble getting to victims quickly. >> we came up with this medical problem. >> reporter: it was unveiled at philadelphia medical convention. >> hero stand for help integrated rescue operation. it is intended to support disasters, and remet medical emergencies. they can get to areas where obstacles are in the way or far remote areas. >> reporter: this portable medical kitties dropped by the drone filled with life saving medical supplies, that are designed for bystanders to use >> this is a blue tooth stethoscope. >> reporter: special glasses and ear piece connect a person on the scene to a doctor off site. >> is there a camera locate in the middle of the lens and that would stream the video from the field into the

physician portal. >> this demonstration video shows safe disasters and how people on the scene can help the injured. >> there is real time interaction and instructions spots off side doctor. >> it won't stop bleeding. >> okay you will need a tourniquet. >> physician on the other side of the kitties able to control it remotely and be able to provide timely life saving medications, to that patient in the field. >> reporter: when off site doctors determines certain medications are needed he opens up locked boxes in the kit, and it is like a remet controlled mini ambulance equippedded with video to demonstrate various medical techniques. >> bandage in the kit and in the bin, follow the different instructions. >> reporter: that was really cool. drug technology is still being worked on making sure that it can go a longer distance with heavier load and big emphasis on safety and communication that happens mainly with a satellite. with all this testing panning

philadelphia right now. temperatures in the lower 80's dew points in the 70's. changes are on the way. we will get up to the poconos where it is more comfortable. i wanted to show you this because of the beautiful fall color, poconos just starting to reach their foliage peak here, mid-october is when foliage really peaks up that way and it looks gorgeous at jack frost big boulder. mount pocono had highest rainfall totals with nate with an inch and a half but it has cleared out and nice looking evening out there humid in the poconos as well. storm scan three showing remnants of nate moving out. heavier rain approaching nova scotia and maine, back in our neck of the wood just a couple scattered showers and all you'll see through tonight. few flicks of the wiper and you will be out but can't rule one out, keep that in mind, it could slow you down briefly and some fog will develop overnight with the warm, moist air in place as well. lets talk about our morning lows, morning lows this morning, may be records,

temperature doesn't drop below this number by midnight tonight it will be regard warm low 74 was the low this morning, and very, very farrah above average. atlantic city dropped down to 74. allentown dropped to 73 degrees. our normal high this time of the year is 69 degrees so our low 5 degrees warmer then our high how far above average we are with the warm humid tropical air in place. scattered showers here through tonight, that is then clearing out and then next couple days look quiet. warm, steam toy start your tuesday, humidity slowly dropping, it will be a mixture of sun and cloud. same story wednesday we will start with sun and cloud but by wednesday afternoon or evening another system approaches and could bring us a chance for stray shower. dew point will slowly drop. dew points in the mid 70s tomorrow morning in the 60's. tomorrow afternoon lower 60's in most spots. while it is in the dry air moving in it will be more comfortable. at the very least we will go from insufferable humidity

back to humid. then eventually not bad. so not awesome but not bad. next thursday is our next chance for picking up showers and storms and these showers and storms by thursday could possibly impact the eagles game down south. lets take a look first at tonight, couple showers here and there early and then some fog 70 degrees. tomorrow sunny very wart are warm becoming less humid but 84 degrees. 15 degrees above average. eagles down in charlotte thursday night watch it right here on cbs-3. there will be a thunder shower possible. hopefully no lightening delays but keep an eye on it, mild at 75. here in philadelphia only 67 on thursday but think maybe fall's coming, back in the 80 's. >> yes. >> next week we will start fall. >> okay, katie, thank you. don's back with more sports. >> we're still talking football. game big but preparation time is small how will eagles adjust for thursday night football in carolina. not bad for 31 career
