meeting thanks to mold found in the schools the meeting was so filled people had to leave at the request of the fire marshall. >> we want to make sure everything is the way it should be. so everybody feels comfortable. >> now people are far from comfortable. >> he would come home with headaches, a stomachaches, i changed his medications around. i did a lot. >> reporter: parents came to the meeting to vent their frustration. many appreciate officials being pro active but some believe it's just too late. >> i'm really upset that the kids are off school for a week. you had all summer to test for everything and now they're out of school. >> reporter: but the superintendent says the tests confirmed mold just last week. other parents claim it's been a

problem for years. >> if we find anything we're going get it all cleaned up and move forward. we want to get our kids back in school. >> that is the goal. no votes tonight, no resolution. just students wondering when they're going to go back to school. parents, teachers wondering the same thing. we are told that district officials should be making a decision over the weekend. david spunt, cbs3 eyewitness news. >> another mold scare inside the library. the school district says the library has been sealed off and its self-contained hvac system shut down. the district will consult with experts to see what testing needs to be done in other parts of that school. it has also moved up scheduled renovations to the library to this year. breaking news now out of texas. texas tech university in lubbock had to be placed on lockdown after a campus police officer was shot and killed. the university says officers found drugs in a student's room

and took the student into a station for a standard debriefing. at the station the student pulled out a gun and shot the officer and took off. the suspect was apprehended about an hour ago and the lockdown has since been lifted. developing right now fast-spreading wildfires have now claimed at least 10 lives. the for rosty of the flames is forcing people to abandon building fires. at least 1500 homes and business vs been destroyed. we've lrnd a temple student was shot and killed by police in florida after hitting an officer with her car. 22-year-old carry is seen here in a youtube video on civility. authorities say she was trying to flee the scene of an accident sunday when she struck an officer with her car. another officer opened fire

killing her. her father told cbs miami that his daughter was in south florida celebrating her birthday. we're learning new details tonight about the las vegas gunman and what happened in the minutes leading up to the massacre. according to the clark county sheriff stephen paddock shot a security guard in the leg just a few minutes before opening fire. in a division from a 2011 incident paddock said he gambled all night and he slept all day sometimes wagering up to $1 million a night. the case of a philadelphia community activist killed in her own home may be one step closer to being solved. he faces multiple charges including murder and robbery. gloucester county police are investigating the cause of a deadly head-on crash between neighbors.

the two cars collided just before 5:00 p.m. yesterday. police say four people were killed, including both drivers who lived on the same street. two others passengers are in critical but stable condition. one person is dead after a multivehicle crash in northeast philadelphia. chopper 3 in the busleton section of the city. police say a 40-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene just before 5:00 p.m. a 41-year-old and an often-year-old boy were transported from the scene to the hospital in stable condition. >> a philadelphia developer's branding idea is the talk of kensington but not the way he had hoped. his attempt to cristen a new neighborhood caught residents off guard. >> reporter: welcome to this section of north philadelphia. you may know it as. >> i guess north philly. >> the royal kensington palace.
