shoulder. so i would start to give yourselves extra time there. and some construction in delaware, on 95 north, between 202 and marsh road, that's out there blocking the right lane until october 31, rahel, over to you >> thank you. breaking news this morning, a septa driver is shot on his way to work in philadelphia's strawberry mansion section. this happened on the 3100 block of ridge avenue. just before 4:00 a.m. police tell "eyewitness news" this was a robbery gone wrong, the victim was trying to run away, and is in stable condition right now. police are hoping that surveillance cameras caught glimpse of the shooter >> temple university student is dead after allegedly running down a miami beach police officer, with her car trang do with the latest, good morning, what do we know here? >> rahel, jim, the woman's father told our cbs station in miami that his daughter was in south florida celebrating her birthday. now he and police are trying to piece together this seemingly irradic behavior that led up to her death.

>> birthday weekend turned tragic after carryann was shot and killed by a police officer , sunday night. witness miguel garcia said carryann behind the wheel of black bmw tried to get away from police after hitting a truck >> started the car and ran or ran away >> police say she ended up crashing into another car then struck miami police officer david dealing with bystanders at the scene. seen here being load into an ambulance, he was conscious and talking >> we know he lost consciousness at the scene, for a period of time. another officer opened fire on the bmw, killing her >> i heard like shots, like four, five shots. pop pop pop pop pop. and then the car lost control >> the car finally stopped after hitting a white suv. a man with her in the bmw was not hurt. police have questioned him. >> hi, my name is carryann -- >> appearing here in youtube

williamstown new jersey, henry , parent there seem to be pretty fed up about this. >> rahel, jim, they definitely are. holly glenn elementary behind me has been shutdown since last week to get rid of the mold, now the whole district is down and that's creating a whole new set of problems >> so many angry parents, packed the williamstown high school auditorium monday night . >> that the fire marshall had to ask some to leave. but with the health and safety of their children at steak, everyone stayed late into the evening, demanding answers, about the mold plaguing holly glenn elementary school. that school was shut down last week after the disgusting discovery inside drop-down ceilings, now the whole monroe township district, thousands of children across six schools , will be closed for testing >> we want to make sure everything is the way it should be. so everybody feels comfortable

>> though the shutdown seems to be doing the opposite, creating a un comfortable situation for parents, as they scramble to find childcare. >> i'm real upset that the kids are off school for a week you had all summer to test for everything. >> kids of this school were supposed to be sent to other schools to have some sense of normalcy while the shutdown was happening, now with all buildings closed to be inspected for mold, thousands and thousands of parents are scrambling. live in williamstown, henry rossoff, cbs-3, "eyewitness news" >> okay, henry, thank you >> now, also following developing story out of northern california. >> more than dozen wild fires are burning, wineries, even entire neighborhoods. >> now, if you can believe this, that was a hilton hotel in the nappa valley that of course caters to tourists visiting vinyards, just one of at least 1500 structures, destroyed, in that area. the fires have also killed at least ten people, and injured about 100 others. >> and this is what's left of

santa rosa california. one of the hardest hit towns, hundreds of homes, cars, businesses, have all been swallowed up by the fire. coming up in about 30 minutes, we will get live report from there, and also talk about another big concern now looting. >> well the manhunt is over for a texas tech student accused in the deadly shooting of campus police officer. late last night authorities arrested 19 year old hole as daniels, a freshman at texas tech. the university says officers took daniels in for questioning earlier in the day , after finding drugs, and drug paraphernalia in in his room >> they brought the student down to text tech police, to police station, and had a debriefing, which is normal procedure, sometime during the debriefing, the student pulled a gun, and fatally wounded one of the officers. >> and daniels fled the station after the shooting, forcing the campus to lockdown that lock-down was lifted shortly after daniels was arrested >> back here at home, new this morning, the search is on for suspect after man is shot during attempted robbery in feltonville. they say 21 year old man was

shot twice in the hip near b and lowden streets around midnight. he's now in stable condition at st. christopher's. investigators say they do have a description of the gunman, but have not track him down just yet -- just yet >> preliminary hearing for christopher coon. he is the father charged in a, caused three car crash while trying to get away, after allegedly shoplifting at a wal-mart. the toddler was not in a in a carseat, and was thrown from the car after the crash. >> still ahead on "eyewitness news" this morning, the crisis in puerto rico continues as the hurricane ravaged islands faces another rounds of flooding. but these balloons are offering residents some hope. we will tell you how. pat? >> one of the most beloved athletes in philly sports history was remembered yesterday. darren daulton passed away in august, but his legacy lives on, now his ex teammates are getting together to help other just as dutch would have done, that's coming up next. >> ♪ >> ♪

>> more that two weeks after hurricane maria slammed puerto rico, the islands now flooded again >> yes, streets look more like rivers, after heavy rains hit puerto rico on sunday. drove through the flood waters making sure no one was trapped , told nearly eight a% of the hurricane ravaged islands still without power, been what, now more than two weeks? authority say 16,000 federal and military personnel, are on the island, helping people recover, and rebuild from the storm. >> well, fema says, it is doing all it can to get fresh drinking water to the people of puerto rico. we are told, though, that only half of the people on the island have drinkable water. officials say about 350,000 puerto ricans have also registered for some sort of financial aid. >> and giant balloons just like this one could soon be floating across puerto rico, millions of puerto ricans still without self-service and hoping balloons like there could help by acting as floating hot spots. puerto ricans could in theory get cell signal by connecting

clear out. now, up jump to 11:00 a.m., when the next warmfront starts to lift in, as a result will be the next shot to see some showers, so start off innocently enough, some sunshine, but clouds quickly thicken, then through the second half of the day most specifically, you may want to have the umbrella on hand, could be some locally drenching downpours, showers scattered for the better part of the day. front also comes in thursday, that will bring fresh round every showers there is may be a little offer done this particular model, but regardless, we do have some additional rain on the way for the next two days not including today. now we do want to check in on talcony-palmyra bridge, as well, ophelia still tropical storm, still with the maximum sustained winds at ooh miles per hour but way out to sea, also, going in the wrong direction, if it were going to have any impact on us, so headed eastward, perhaps having impact on at least indirect impact on these azore s islands but no threat to north america thankfull iment back here stateside. again, have a mixed bag for you. 70s, 80s, as well as some 60s

here in the forecast. wednesday, thursday, watching for showers, then another rebound comes our way toward the weekend, meisha. >> so we pull your attention right away to another accident , more serious accident, that came up in hatfield. so this is involving a motorcycle with injuries. medical helicopter on the scene here as well. clemen's road closed. your alternate, allentown road your best bet. going to be a lot of flashing lights, very slow around this area. and you are going to be detoured off, or use this alternate. so just heads up in hatfield if this is your neck of the woods, stay clear from this area, right now, plus, we have that other accident that we've been looking at where i know a vehicle went off the road with injuries, northeast extension southbound for lansdale. that's pulled all the way off to the shoulder. another area i want to steer clear of or factor in extra time. then we've got samson vukovich sean clues, 202 southbound schuylkill eastbound, maybe tap your brakes on little bit. but really where you are really slowing down is right around city avenue. so the boulevard southbound once you jump on at the

schuylkill westbound at city avenue, bumper to bumper conditions, starting there, rahel, back to you >> meisha, thank you. yesterday former phillie star was remembered all while raising a lot of money for a great cause >> our pat gallen was there to see the life and legacy of darren daulton live on >> unfortunately, the rain, and kind of took over the golf course, but great event, yes, monday the rain poured down on manufacturer's golf club in ft. washington but so did the memories. yesterday was the darren daulton golf outing foundation fish cyst dutch passed away. several from the 1993 phillies came out to celebrate his life and to raise money for a great cause. all proceeds from the event will be used to help pay expenses of applicants, who are affected by brain cancer and other brain related conditions. dutch died in august after a four year battle. but everyone remembers him fondly after a lengthy fight. >> i think he just got tired. you know, i fought like hell, man. but as we know darren would,
