seventeen deaths, more than 2,000 homes and businesses up in flames, the raging wild fires in california's northern wine country are all red a monk deadliest out breaks in the states history and many cases residents are returning to nothing left. well, new allegations against harvey weinstein including an audio recording with one of his accusers, i'm brooks silva-braga in new york with weinstein's response coming up. you may want to call it a wednesday wash out, no rain right now but take along the umbrella, katie says you will need it later to day it is wednesday, october 11th i'm

carabao is tracking developments as she joins us now in the studio, good morning, jan. >> reporter: good morning. unfortunately that death toll could rise, 180 people have also been injured. october is traditionally peak fire season there in california, with the ground, the dry and winds the strongest but it is the perfect fire storm, right now. the northern part of that state is experiencing is what called diabolo winds, the south santa ana winds. now, 48 hours and counting, wild fires, continue to burnout of control in northern california. >> this is no where near over. it is still very dangerous. >> reporter: first responders and elected officials at a community meeting at santa rosa high school they are urging eager residents who want to return to their homes to remain patient instead. >> we want you back in your homes sooner then later but we have to keep everybody alive first and safe first and all of our resources are on that evacuation and moving people out. >> reporter: those were able to return home are often find ing what david did, very

little is left. he is now living out of his car. >> it has been hard to see what we have built and put into the place and now it is, reduced, reduced to what you see here. >> reporter: more than 2,000 homes and businesses are destroyed. the impact on the region's life blood the wine industry is significant. one napa county trade group says at lee five of the winer ies have been destroyed or severely damaged. >> one of the most sad things is to see some of these 100 year-old landmark wineries that have been completely burned down which is heart breaking. >> reporter: philadelphia native and wine maker michael scoreson wine in napa county. he moved there to start his business. at this point he cannot even get to several of his vineyard toss check the damage this one in the distance is torched. his winery is just a few miles from the fire line. >> the air quality is horrible , you cannot really

see much at all. >> reporter: wine industry in sonoma and napa valley employs more than 50,000 people. the fire season has only just begun in california, too. the cause of this historic fire is under investigation. jim and rahel, back inside to you. >> thank you. three men are recovering after a triple shooting overnight in south philadelphia. this happened on the 1900 block of south bonesol street around 11:00 last night, officers found two shooting victims laying on the street, they rushed those men to the hospital where a third victim was already being treated. we are told two victims were shot right outside of their homes and police tell thaws surveillance cameras are helping in the investigation. >> the cameras, did record the shooting. you can see two males involved firing shots. one was wearing dark colored clothing, the other male was wearing lighter colored clothing and they were last seen both running on food,e, on mifflin, from bonesol street. >> police are still working to filing our out why the gun man

opened fire. all three victims are in stable condition. at last check no arrests. investigators are looking for answers after a woman is killed in berks county. police say body of madison wal d was found in the wooded area in lower hide willberg township on sunday. twenty-three year-old fridays reading. an autopsy confirmed her death was a homicide and investigators are waiting for results of the toxicology test no word on an arrest or suspect so far. no charge's announced in a horrific case of animal abuse in delaware. forty-three dead dogs were found inside of a house in sea ford. authorities rescued more than two dozen other animals. we want to warn you these pictures are disturbing. the brandywine valley spca says a tip from the public led them to the house on sunday. delaware animal services, seized 31 dogs and a cat, that were still alive, but badly neglected, in word yet on who was responsible. tensions are high in monroe township after officials discovered mold inside an elementary school.

schools are still closed and parents are still waiting for test results. authorities say holy glenn elementary is contaminated with mold, just one of the six closed in the gloucester county district. rest of the schools were closed as a precaution so district could do testing. superintendent charles early spoke to "eyewitness news" and he said they found minimal mold inside the other schools but it has been since cleaned up. >> any concerns found? >> not so far. anything that was minimal, okay, they took care of it. >> reporter: so at this point holy glenn is the target, focus. >> that is a big focus. >> reporter: balances of the schools, seem to have minimal. >> minimal, which will be cleaned up. >> officials said a old h va c system is what caused the mold the superintendent told us it will take about three months for crews to get rid of the mold. testing is underway for rest of the schools and no word when they will open. president trump is heading to pennsylvania today, we will tell you what is on the commander and chief's agenda and where he will make a stop.

new allegations are emerge ago begins hollywood mogul harvey weinstein including a audio recording where weinstein appears to admit to groping a woman. here's cbs news correspondent brooks silva-braga. >> reporter: webb of allegations against harvey weinstein now sprawls across hollywood, gwyneth paltrow said he lured her to a hotel room and suggested a massage.

angelina jolie, and angel is one of the three women who say weinstein raped them. in the 2015 recording weinstein appears to admit he groped model, this model right here. the recording was made by new york city police, and, obtained by new york magaziner and district attorney's office declined to prosecute saying they could not establish criminal intent. for his insuringers story, he says that they expect out, because of changing attitude about sexual misconduct. >> they said harvey weinstein specifically is less powerful now. we fear retaliation left because he is in longer the fourth most powerful person in hollywood he is 200 mess powerful person. >> reporter: spokesmen denied allegations of non-consensual sex and wrote mr. weinstein has begun counseling and

hoping that if he makes enough progress he will be given a second chance. >> it is still a little bit early to necessity whether harvey weinstein is done for good and that is a calculation that people are making. >> reporter: hollywood reporter rebecca sun says within group that has not said much is studio executives, brooks silva-braga for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". weinstein hosted fundraisers for president barack obama, the former president say he and mr. owe bam air disgusted by reports of his conduct, their older daughter mallea interned earlier this year. in a joint statement they said quote any man who demeans and degrade was man in such fashion need to be condemned and held accountable regardless of wealth or status weinstein also raised money for hillary clinton. clinton made a statement saying she was shocked and appalled by the revelation about weinstein, and clinton praise wood man coming forward saying their courage and support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior. in other news to day president trump meets with

canadian prime minister justin trudeau at the white house, after that the president will travel to harrisburg where he will make a pitch for republican plan to overhaul the nation's tax system. mr. trump rolled out a blueprint for that plan last month. 5:15. katie joining us now. you can see just behind you the storm is approaching. >> yes, an area of low pressure will work its way through, today and tomorrow will be the dates would i suggest you walk out with the umbrella, even if you are not necessarily, finding rain when you walk outside the door, with time, it is, you know, pretty close to a guarantee you will. reason why i say pretty close because scattered showers is what we will find out there but notice that specific to, specifically sussex county south of that into maryland the rain is quite heavy at this hour and it will be lift nothing with time. new we have already seen, sometimes, the radar can show things that are not happening on the ground. we have already seen some speckles of rain, a little bit of green, moving its way across 222, up toward lehigh valley region but not necessarily verifying at the ground just yet, and eyewitness weather watchers if

you are listening, let us know if you are finding any miss continuing or anything out there at this hour. but generally, the idea that will hold off until p.m. hours for the most part and then it will take its time to get through. here's that center of circulation for you. that will be pushing across the area over the span of the next 48 hours. temperatures are still mild. they are technically cooler then they were yesterday. they are still, flirting with where we would normally be for daytime high this time of the year. it is exceptionally mild. we will only rebound so far throughout the day, however because we have rain and cloud moving in. and in the meantime in the wake of the storm you saw it senderd on the radar back over the mid western u.s. even from chicago to des moines we have a pretty decent, range of temperature readings. really obvious where that cooler air is starting to re tait back in on the heels of this storm. we are flirting with 40 right now even in minneapolis. i don't expect us to drop off that much. here's the general idea, guys, scattered showers, mainly
