flew over the delaware river in wilmington earlier today and captured a very neat sight. this is a replica of the cala mar nickel a pioneering colonial ships as it sailed down the river. very, very cool. clearly it is still, kind of cloudy outside. very interested in this ship, i looked up an interesting fact about this. this was the flagship for the

1638 expedition, that founded the colony of new sweden, a establishing the very first permanent european settlement is here in the delaware valley fascinating. i love that. history buff rahel over there. >> yes, fascinating, that was interesting. >> isn't that neat. >> but yes, it has been a overcast start to the day and afternoon. we will continue to see the cloud tomorrow. we will explain in a a second. looking at storm scan at face value it does not look that bad. here's the thing we have an on shore wind flow that is dominating the pattern right now. would i call this semi un settled as a result. this is an organized system per se that is rolling through here but when we have a large dome to the northeast, recall high pressure moves in the clockwise motion and other hemispheres and we are on the southwest corner it is helping to bring in that flow. so wind flow, it is really strong wind but wind flow is coming in from the atlantic and that is an ample moisture source so we have cloud, you will still see a shower out there.

now, ophelia as we look out of the tropics, that has over achieved. it is a currently a category two hurricane and bin sense since early this morning. max sustain wind of hundred miles an hour. still way out to sea, over opened ocean water, but take a look, it is still expected to make a very strange path, sort of backward path here and eventually, make a land fall, at lee as a tropical storm, as it moves up toward island and scotland. if you have international travel interests this is something you will want to pay attention to into early next week. lets go back stateside, here locally winds are not harsh. it is up there. in the teens, anywhere from wildwood to atlantic city and millville as well. even in wilmington. notice wind direction with the arrows there. that is the key here. since it is predominantly on shore it will still feel cool, certainly don't have a lot of sunshine to make it feel warmer. live view on sky scan three looking from station headquarters still has a very

overcast view with the northeast wind at 9 miles an hour. thankfully not making it feel cooler but we're currently sitting at 61 degrees. outside to the shot of the live neighborhood network where cloud have really built in. here at pleasant valley middle and high school 54 degrees. we are not going to rebound much more then maybe another five or 6 degrees from that value in broadheadville but here in the city we should hit 69. that is where we should be. far cry from the warmth we have experienced recently but it hasn't been average, at all , as ovulate. later tonight quite mild, only 64 for the night time low. we are on pace to start warming up from that point starting tomorrow, so even as temple is kicking off at high noon verse u-conn 70 degrees, probably another shower here and there but not enough to cause major issues at the linc looking forward warmest day is sunday and then cold front comes along late that night into monday, watch out for some showers but talk about a nose dive, rahel, we will drop almost 20 degrees from one day to the next. >> that is okay i'm looking

more education and to prevent this terrible scourge that is hitting our community. >> what a need it is but elaine this year, komen making it easier for people to get involved. >> we hope to create let's call them satellite komens. >> okay. >> around our 15 counties. so it can be more convenient, accessible, for men and women to join in and fight this terrible fight with us. >> speaking of terrible fight to day actually is metastatic breast cancer day. >> yes. >> why does it exist for people who may not understand. >> here's a flag. >> yeah, i like this, thank you. >> we have 3 million breast cancer survivors. but close to 200,000 around the country are fighting metastatic breast cancer. and that prognosis a one to three-year survival rate.

it is deplorable. so komen, has been funding, metastatic research for over the last 15 years and this year we have given out over 31 million-dollar, half of that has gone to researchers, in fighting metastatic disease. >> so much money f we can just quickly speak about co man and how much work it does for men and women of all races but especially outreach for african-american and latino women, can you speak about that. >> we have many programs that reach african-american, latina , caucasian woman. wonderful response from the community. we try and focus on the special need of each of those communities. >> all right. elaine, thanks very much. of course, raising awareness and fighting breast cancer not just in october but all year
