saturday looking. >> good morning to you. well, it will be kind of cloudy out there but, i would say we will see half and half weekend. sunday looking like better day but we will deal with the cloud and see decreasing chances for rain throughout the day. that is good news. we will start off with a live look outside you can see low cloud across the region, man, look at that they are obscured some of the building tops out there, so that is the case, throughout the morning we will see low cloud, fog, some drizzle at times and then, a little bit of improvement through the day perhaps a peak of sunshine we will show you, storm scan three, i was showing a drizzle, out there a couple spotty showers. we will see generally rain chances decreasing throughout the day, current temperature is 63 degrees in philadelphia mid 60's down the shore. sixty-five wildwood. sixty-five atlantic city. sixty-four in millville. lower 60's in trenton. right around 60 in allentown. we're actually warmer compared to just 24 hours ago, and that will be the going trend, as we

mold issue tells herself she has three days to weigh whether her son will return to the elementary when it reopens >> looking into some home schooling stuff, other options outside the district. >> reporter: next week essentially all of the students for six schools in the district, will return to class but only four will reopen. that has some parents now concerned not just over the mold issue in the district but now over possible overcrowding in monroe township alycia nieves for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". and an important traffic note now, if you are traveling on the northeast extension, this weekend, the pennsylvania turnpike commission is closed i476 in both directions between the lehigh valley interchange, that is exit 56 and mahoning valley interchange at 674. turnpike will remain closed until 4:00 a.m. monday morning crews will remain place a bridge during this 55 hour closure. disturbing viral video

from charlotte north carolina a panthers fan, filmed, sucker punching a fan in the face and now a south jersey man is speaking out about what he says, sparked the violence that left his friend injured. eliminating $7 billion in subsidy payments to insurers, those funds help keep premiums low for people enrolled in obama care's individual market >> i'm very concerned about the president's executive order, that was issued yesterday and his decision to do away with the important subsidy, that helps very low income people. >> reporter: but some republicans agree with the president. >> these subsidies are actually in the for people they are bail outs for insurance company. >> reporter: democrats do in the see it that way. >> last night the president single handily decided to raise americans health premium s for no reason except spite and cruelty. >> reporter: non-partisan congressional budget office says that ending the subsidies could cause premium toss sky rocket as much as 20 percent next year and add $200 billion to the deficit, over the next decade.

kennett craig for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". check this out, a couple in their zero seven's has survived six days stranded in a utah desert after their gps led them a stray during their vacation. a cattle rancher found 78 year-old helena, lying on the road severely dehydrated. her 76 year-old husband gerald was also found, dehydrated in a trailer after authorities saw his s.o.s. sign made out of roxanne flowers. the couple says that the gps took them on to a rocky dirt road and their car got stuck. they did what they had to do to survive drinking your own urine which you did many times >> the houston couple is, going to be okay, authorities say they may in the have survived, one more day in the desert. >> wow. well, it is hard enough running a marathon, right? imagine running 31 in 31 days

into the afternoon. storm scan three shows us, we had a couple of showers, little bit of drizzle, some spotty showers across the region already this morning, and we also have some located down the shore, actually some steady rain, located around the long beach eye area but more moderate rainfall is located just off shore, again do i think we will see a little improvement, with the rainfall chances decreasing, as we head into the afternoon but visibility is not all that great, right now. just 1 mile in mount pocono. we have some fog, lots of low cloud across the region only at eight in philadelphia, 8 miles in atlantic city, 5 miles in wildwood. right around 3 miles in millville. we will see that fog lifting as we head into the next several hours and by this afternoon, still tapping into those mostly cloudy skies. 63 degrees in philadelphia, mid 60's down the shore. sixty-five in wildwood. sixty-five in atlantic city. we are warmer compared to 24 hours ago.

that will be the going trend throughout the weekend. we will have a frontal boundary located to the north, cold front out to the west and we will tap into that flow, out of the south and west and that will help heat us up as we head into this afternoon, also your sunday, and then a cold front will come through and that is providing with us a pattern change as high pressure builds in its wake. we will be warming up, throughout the weekend, along with that a couple of shower chances in the forecast but then much cooler behind that front with the nice stretch of sunshine as well, it will be feeling like fall should as we kick off the workweek next week. roller coaster temperature ride, this weekend looks like 75 on saturday. eighty-two on sunday. look at how temperatures drop off, monday highs in the mid 60's. sixty-two on tuesday. 69 degrees as we head into wednesday. here at home, here's how things play out throughout the day. look at how we deal with the cloud, throughout much of the afternoon, couple of spotty showers, still possible down the shore around the noon time

allegheny near toll up street. police are confirming that a 31 year-old man has died here but details are very limited. as you can see it is still an active scene here. the authorities responded just after 2:30. this man was pronounced a half an hour late by medics and they are investigating this is a a hit and run but there is in description of the striking vehicle at this point. police say there is just evidence that this car hit this man and then left the scene, but the cause of the death is still unknown, and investigators working right now, to process this scene, and we're about to speak with the captain here on the scene, but if anybody is driving around this area they have taped off, this street, gannon allegheny between aramingo and toll up street so if you are in this area you will in the be able to get through. we're about to speak to the captain, to learn more details about what has happened here but a 31 year-old man killed in the suspect hit and run but no cause of death, identified and no description of the that

striking vehicle. for now live from port richmond, anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you, keep us up to date. police are investigating a deadly shooting in philadelphia's mayfair section shooting happened around 3:30 this morning on the 4,000 block of bener street. officers say that a man was sitting in his car behind a dollar tree store there, when a gunman walk up, opened fire, the victim was rushed to the hospital where he died a short time later. so far, no arrests. nearly all students in monroe township gloucester county will return to class on tuesday, staff and teachers, however will report to work at 8:00 o'clock on monday morning earlier this week the district shut down all of its schools to clean up for a check for mold. move followed discovery of the mold at holy glenn elementary, that school will be closed for at lee three months, now officials say white hall elementary school will also stay closed beyond next tuesday. charlotte police have arrested a carolina panthers

morning. then even a couple showers located down the shore, generally rain chances will be decreasing, as we head into and throughout the day. temperatures are in the 60's. 62 degrees in philadelphia, down the shore it is 65 in, wildwood, we are at 65 degrees , ape, and, and, water and 50 in reading, and, and, and, we're already warmer then, and, some spots, at five to 10 degrees warmer all depending where you live and that is the trend not just today, but especially into your sunday. so if you are going out doing some fall fun festivities here's what you can expect apple picking in the morning mostly cloudy, better chance for a shower around in the morning, but then as we head in the afternoon as i said decreasing chances for showers , it will be above average, temperatures, right around the mid 70's, that is well above our average high which is actually around 67

for this time of the year and in the 69 degrees as we head into the evening hours, good idea to take the sweat shirt if you are heading to the haunted hey ride. but lots of fun going on across the region, i was at yeager's farm yesterday with the mobile weather watcher. they have a fall festival going on as well so we are looking at mostly cloudy skies for those festivities too. here is pattern that we are dealing work throughout the weekend and then next weekend or next week and it will be a change in the pattern i should say but a frontal, and, approaching the region, out, and, westerly wind, globing and it will turn gusty as we head in the afternoon that will allow cloud to break. we will see good amount of sunshine as we head into your sunday afternoon and that is in turn much warmer with highs in the lower 80's. cold front passes through and that will bring all this blue, much cooler air our way, and as with high pressure building in as we head in the start of next week.

science center report. >> kevin wash is finding relief from his pain immersing his mind in the 360-degree world of snow and ice, his back was severely burned in the small explosion at work. >> is there one time i did during wound care when they peeled off my bandages and i didn't really notice. >> reporter: kevin is one of the number of patients using virtual reality to help manage pain. >> to me it is a means to pull peoples attention away from very painful procedures. >> reporter: david paterson pioneered the technique. he said virtual reality helps distract the brain. >> the areas of the brain that light up with pain, light up less and there is that not processing as much. >> he using snow world using v r goggles patients hit target with snowballs, during painful medical procedures. >> overall we are seeing 35 percent reductions in pain, it is pretty typical where you see somebody's pain drop from
