police say that the suspect then went to wilmington where he was involve in the second shooting and there police say he shot a man multiple times. right now manhunt has intensified and police continue to search for 2,000 black chevy acadia like the one you see on your screen. multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the case across state lines and "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden is tracking developments and joins us now from the police department in wilmington with the very latest, joe. >> reporter: good evening. wilmington police have essentially a war room here tonight at police department, dedicating the tracking down to rag deprince. in the last howard we learned more information. of all of these shooting victims chief of police say that prince knew all of them, and had what he said, were, beef was all of them. right now though police, going through, old relationships speaking to old girlfriends and trying to get a man that they called armed, dangerous and desperate, into custody.

>> right now this person is taken three lives and he is damaged three others. >> reporter: all out full scale search for radee prince is underway right now with officers fanned out across maryland and delaware. law enforcement in maryland say that 37 year-old shot five people at his work place in northeastern maryland, three were killed. >> there is a small suburban community. certainly sends a ripple across us, hartford county citizens are reaching out with support. >> reporter: law enforcement says prince was last seen driving a black 2008 gmc acadia with delaware tags. officers tell cbs-3 it was believed that prince would surface at this residence in the 500 block of the road in stanton, dell wear. state police, asked report tours leave saying that members of the press were in danger. >> i promise you that. >> reporter: in wilmington prince was tied to a second shooting scene, this one in

about an hour, that is latest live from wilmington joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". joe, thank you n other news appeal denied. today pennsylvania judge upheld jerry sandusky's 2012 conviction on child sex abuse charges and denied request for a new trial. "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos is live from the cbs-3 sat center to break down decision, greg. >> reporter: this is judge's ruling right here essentially stating sandusky's rights were not violated. he will not be granted a new trial. big setback for quick child sex offender but sandusky's attorney this afternoon says this appeal is not yet over in the 60 page ruling, judge henry denied jerry sandusky's powe conviction relief but sandusky's attorney al lindsey says this sag ace far from over. >> this decision is not end of our fight by any means. >> reporter: judge detailing his stance on all 34 of the

defense arguments in the end writing bulk of his claims are meritless, and denying a request for a new trial. >> now we need to move to the next child and it is an appeal through the pennsylvania appellate courts. >> reporter: this appeal has lasted three years, during that time lindsey has argued that seven three-year old former penn state assistant football coach did not receive adequate representation, from his attorneys during the initial 2012 trial, jurors found sandusky guilty of 45 counts of sexual abuse against minors. lindsey believes sandusky should never have been charged in the first place. >> i know that what the public thinks and i know what the news media thinks but i know what i think. i think he is a innocent man who should have never been charged with these things. >> reporter: despite this major setback lindsey says he will continue to fight for sandusky's freedom. >> we're in it for as long as it will take, we will scrap and we will keep scrapping until we get what we need. we think ultimately we will prevail because what happened here was just too wrong.

woman in chester delaware county on friday, investigators say surveillance video shows, cameron johnson walking down 23rd street in chester with a rifle, moments later authorities say he robbed and sexually assault aid woman in her 60's in a nearby apartment complex parking lot. if you know where to locate johnson or have any information call the police. and, a war lord now living in lansdowne was found guilty of hiding his past, to gain entry to the u.s. mohammad, also known as, jungle java was found guilty of two counts of fraud in immigration documents and two counts of perjury. jury found he was not truthful in december of 1998 when he made an application for asylum and later for permanent legal residency. he faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine. a freight train derailment is under investigation in philadelphia's brewerytown neighborhood, officials say two cars jumped the tracks around 7:30 this morning near

"eyewitness news" anchor jessica dean joins us live from williams paterson new jersey in wayne, new jersey where tonight's debate is taking place. jessica, good evening. >> reporter: good evening to both of you guys. yes, we are inside auditorium at william paterson university where in just about two hours we will have a thousand people in here watching the two candidates for new jersey governor talk about a whole host of issues. before we got to that at 7:00 we wanted to give you a primer on this race. lets take a look. during the primary, lieutenant governor kim contacted dan owe easily beat out her fellow republican candidates for a position on the ballot in november's gubernatorial race. >> get to say it for the first time, i'm so very proud to be our party's nominee. >> reporter: fifty-eight year-old former monmouth county sheriff and federal prosecutor may so some of her political success to governor chris christie. each time he was out of the office campaigning for

seventy in allentown. 65 degrees currently in mount pocono. we are warmer compared to just 24 hours ago. in fact most areas from eight to a full 12 degrees warmer in mount pocono, 10 degrees warmer in allentown and 12 degrees warmer in the dover area and that is courtesy of the shift in our wind direction. remember yesterday those winds were coming from the north filtering in that chilly air but now they are coming out of the west and southwest so that is the trend over next several days to allow our numbers to climb even more. winds around 12 miles an hour currently in philadelphia. that will make for a very nice evening, fall evening on tap in center city with temperatures around 63 by 8:00 fifty-nine by 10:00 p.m. a few high cloud, around midnight hour with temperatures around 57. so high pressure is the name of the game, that is the dominating force all the way through workweek and as we head in the upcoming weekend that means dry conditions will prevail, and temperatures especially by week end will be

families of four u.s. soldiers , killed in action, earlier this month, including sergeant lah david johnson. johnson's wife took the call while on the way to the airport to receive her husband 's body. congress woman fredricka wilson said she was in the car with johnson's widow when she got the call. >> he said to the wife, well, i guess he knew what he was getting into? how insensitive can you be. >> reporter: president denies he said that. >> i didn't say what that congress woman said. didn't say it at all. she knows it. >> reporter: white house blamed it on representative wilson. >> i think it is appalling, what the congress woman has done and the way that she has politicized this issue. >> reporter: sergeant johnson 's family told washington post that congress woman wilson's account is accurate. >> this man is a sick man. he is cold hearted. he feels no pity or sympathy for anyone. >> reporter: president trump doubled down on his claim that previous administration did his not call gold star families after their loved won

were killed in action and pointed to his own chief of staff as proof. >> i mean you could ask general kelly did he get a call from obama? you could ask other people. i don't know what obama's policy was. >> reporter: white house record show general kelly and his wife did meet privately with mr. and mrs. obama at a breakfast to honor gold star families a year after their son's passing. general kelly declined to comment and made it clear in the past he does not want his son's death exploited. on the memorial day general kelly and president trump visited his son's grave at arlington national cemetery. now former president obama , bush and clinton all said they call families of fallen soldiers. after an owners meeting nfl soldiers say it supports all players standing during the national anthem at games but will not punish them if they do not stand. president trump took to twit ter to voice his dis pleasure over the league's position. he tweeted this morning, the nfl has decided that it will not force players to stand, for the playing of our national anthem.

total disrespect for our great country. the president has been critical of players who take a knee in protest before a game. he has suggested that players who do not stand should be suspended or fired. nfl commissioner roger goodell spoke today after two day meeting of team owners in new york city. goodell says he believes players who neil during the national anthem are not trying to disrespect the flag but he added that the league still believes that they should stand. goodell says he understands the players who neil are protesting racial injustice. >> i think we also have to keep focus, we have about six or seven players that are involved with this protest at this point. this is something that what we try to does deal with the underlying issue and understand what it is that they are protesting and try to address that matter. >> goodell says nfl will continue its work to make a positive difference in the community. wild fires in california, have caused an estimated $3 billion in damage, wineries

on the healthwatch tonight a new report on government health officials gives americans poor grades when it comes to managing high blood pressure. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here with more on the new research. >> reporter: this is a big problem, because high blood pressure, is a major risk factor for heart attacks and strokes, something that 85 million americans struggle with and doctors say that part of the problem is there are usually no symptoms. >> he was diagnosed with hypertension 10 years ago, he says that stress at work contributed to the problem. >> i used to put in long hours , a lot of stress. >> reporter: according to the new cdc report approximately 30 percent of americans have high blood pressure and about half of them, don't have it under control. >> you can have heart attacks from that, you can have an increased incidence of stroke. >> reporter: doctors say poor

nicole, i didn't quite expect to come to a quilt show and find what i found. sure, there are 144 incredibly amazing quilts that are like works of art winning best of show, and places of every range, within every application. but when i found to be most interesting about these quilts was something that i never expected, the inspiration behind these quilts, were of people, and that it was people that inspired these works of art and the quilters that put so much time into what they have made. take a look. >> it is a different. >> reporter: when lou at a quilt is there so much to be scene but look a little deeper and is there even more to be said. >> i have quilts that migrate grandmother made and i never knew her, and when i wrap myself in the quilt, i feel like, you know, she's still around. >> reporter: inside brookhaven municipal building the gymnasium is being covered in quilts for 2017 under cover

quilters quilt show. the theme this year is so many memories. >> this is a memory quilt with t-shirts. >> reporter: some quilts are shared pieces of the pennsylvania from the 1800s, others pearl harbor, notice red dots and red, white and blue stars of kathleen's quilt >> we traveled all over, and my mother, before the bombing, and in hawaii, and they were pearl harbor survivors, initially i intended to give them as a veterans quilt and then one of the other ladies, said i think you should just keep it for yourself in honor of your father. >> reporter: for some love was need that will threaded quilts in memorial like for fallen officer jai coalson. >> his mother, a year later, made this quilt that honors ja i. >> reporter: showing one of the kind people that we need inspired the one of the kind art that we make.

>> my daughter was often bull ied in high school and when jai was around no one dared bully her. he was a hero. he was a local boy. so that makes it really special that sheila, his mother let us display this quilt so that we could honor him locally. >> reporter: i don't know if you can feel what i'm feeling right now. i hope you are feeling what i'm feeling right now because i think best way to describe it, i was talking to joy, joy said a quilt is like a hug, and even of those that you have lost are memorialized in a quilt, when you wrap yourself around it, it is like that person is always with you so, quite a moving exhibition here, of quilts in book brookhaven and did not expect this and i was just moved to pieces, really. make sure you come check out this incredible quilt show happening all weekend long, and, it really moved me.
