school interrupted by a peaceful sit in demonstration with students clad in all black. they are protesting racially charged text messages that surfaced between students. messages were laced with profanity and use of the n word, with one saying quote, y'all think you are cool because your skinnies black but i think we should bring the kkk back. >> we all came together and decided to protest because issue was so much bigger then just our school. >> i don't want my child or anybody to come here and feel threatened, intimidated, it is totally unacceptable. >> reporter: text prompted a huge fight on wednesday, with threats of more violence, today, leading to an increased police presence. some parents rushed to take their kid out of school early. >> kind of shaken up about it, i had like a little mental break down in lunch, where i was crying, all my friend where is trying to make sure i was okay. >> it is a disgrace what these boys d they should be punish. i don't think that word ace

radee prince is being held on 2.1 million-dollar bail. our greg argos learn more today about the relationship between the suspect and the delaware victim who was shot in the head. >> today we're learning new information about the relationship between the alleged shooter and his delaware victim, a past that goes back more than a year. radee prince of wilmington delaware is heading to prison after being responsible for two shootings in two states which left three injuries and three dead. around 9:00 wednesday prince is accused of shooting five co-workers, killing three at his edgewood maryland business investigators say he then drove to wilmington delaware confronted acquaintance james ball at ball's used car lot and shot him in the head inside the office. we have learned that this is the second time investigators say prince has victimized ball , according to the delaware state attorney general's office in january of 2016, prince was charged with second degree robbery and ball listed as the victim. prior to the trial the charges

were changed to offensive touching but case was dropped when prosecutors could not provide a material witness. it is just one of the 40 arrests, 15 felony convictions , and four misdemeanors on prince's criminal history. the 37 year-old can now add three counts each of attempted and first degree murder. >> this guy had no business being on the street posing a threat or coming out taking lives. this is an individual by all looks of the records should have been behind bars. >> reporter: attorney general 's office says prince will remain in custody here in wilmington delaware until he is extradited back to maryland to face those first degree murder charges. we are told he will stay in custody here in delaware at lee for remainder of this day, no word on when exactly he will be extradited. reporting here from wilmington delaware i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". former president barack obama returns to the campaign trail for the first time since leaving the white house in january. the forty-fourth president

71 degrees. gorgeous conditions, for all of you leaf peepers and temperatures right now are mild in all reporting sites. sixty-two in mount pocono. sixty-six in allentown. zero seven in reading. sixty-six in ac. still 72 degrees in dover. if you try to find chilly fall air you just cannot find it un seasonably warm 72 in minneapolis. near 80 degrees right now in st. louis. this warm air mass will stay entrenched in the delaware valley in the next several days. sunshine, it is going to stay with us. storm scan three shows is a bunch of nothing w high pressure in control we have sinking very stable air and staying overhead as we head in the next several days in the upcoming weekend. dry conditions prevailing with warmth, as well, high temperatures running at or above 10 degrees above average as we head into the upcoming weekend nearing 80 degrees on saturday in the city. overnight tonight good sleeping weather mostly clear falling back down to 55. for our friday warm with sunny

skies up to 74. our average high temperature would have us at 66, well beyond that and as we head in the upcoming weekend we will be well beyond that as well on saturday, sunny and warm, 78 degrees, sunday, mostly sunny 76 but still nice conditions to get out there and pick out those pumpkins for halloween at end of the month and i focus on monday eagles taking on washington at the linc heading out to the stadium, temperatures in the lower 70's, mostly cloudy conditions and cloud which skies by powe game temperatures in the upper 60's heading home. heading in the next several days nothing but sunshine overnight lows in the middle 50's into monday, we will see late day cloud and good shot of rainfall as we head into tuesday with train heavy at times so day to keep eye out for needing that umbrella. we will be right back sports is next.

joseph, i'm steve. how are you? nice to meet you sir. no different from everyone else. they just want a job. they want respect and they want dignity. steve called fairly frantic. you know, he had a premature baby and i think he had just been given the diagnosis that she had down syndrome. lauren brought out the best in me. she made me a different person. lauren's the spark that started the fire. the goal is keep places like this open so all people, regardless of disability, have an opportunity for employment.
