22nd good morning everyone i'm jan carabao lets get over to meteorologist chelsea ingram with the eyewitness weather forecast, good sunday morning, chelsea i fear the other shoe business to drop but hopefully not too far. we're dealing with more weather in the 70's. we will have a cool down heading our way and that will be followed by 70's once again , heading in to next week wild. temperatures have been significantly above average for this time of the year. i want to start off with a check at boardwalk plaza and rehoboth beach. look at how beautiful. nice sweat shirt wet they are morning. we have seen people outside on the board getting their exercise walk in and couple people on the beach, enjoying a morning all right. 52 degrees right now in philadelphia it is on the cool side. forty-seven in millville. forty-nine atlantic city. fifty in wildwood. cool start to the day but believe me when i tell you these numbers will be warming upstreamly quickly as we head in the afternoon. we're in the upper 40's at trenton. forty-five in allentown.

as far as dew points are concerned we are in the 40's and 50's. overall humidity levels are comfortable and it will begin to feel more steamy though as we head into tomorrow, and with some low level moisture beginning to make its way in to the region out ahead of our next system. for today though we're warm, with sunshine, looking for high temperature right around 77 degrees, as i mentioned well above average for this time of the year and i'll let you know when rain arrives and cool down will head our way in the full tore cast, for now, back to you. >> chelsea, thank you very much. new this morning one person is injured in a car crash that had part of the schuylkill expressway shut down this morning. this is westbound 76 approaching girard, and a overturned vehicle was blocking the right, center lanes there at one point able only one lane was crawling by. at this hour that accident has cleared out all lanes are back opened and traffic is moving much smoother. one person had to be taken to the hospital.

no word on that person's condition this morning or what cause that had crash. a three-year oldies shot inside of the tioga section and investigators believe his six year-old brother may have pulled the trigger. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live outside temple university hospital with more on how this community is reacting, anita. >> reporter: good morning, neighbors say this could have been prevented, they are saddened, frustrate that had weapon was not properly secured inside the home. bonnie neighbor said she broke down when she learned that the child had been shot. philadelphia police say a three-year old appeared to have been shot in the head accidentally in the 3600 block of north 18th street in tioga nicetown they rushed to the home around 3:00 saturday afternoon they found young boy with the six year-old and 12 year-old brothers home alone. six year-old may have accidentally pulled the trigger after boys accessed a handgun inside.

>> six year-old, he don't noe better. he probably thought it was a toy. he is six. >> reporter: neighboring say parents need to be vigilant in keeping their firearms secured >> they should not have had access, in way. if they had no security in the home when they left they should have took it with them. , no it is unbelievable. it is unacceptable. >> reporter: neighbors say that they are praying that this child pulls through, at last check he remains in critical condition at temple university hospital. live from north philadelphia this morning i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". in delaware county now the search is on for a gunman who opened fire on four people on the basketball court there. now this shooting happened just before 6:00 o'clock yesterday evening. police say shots were fired from an elevated position on the 1200 block of car looks lane in chester. all of the victims were hit in the lower body, right now no word on their conditions or what may have led up to the shooting.

a teenager is recovering this morning after he was gunned down in south philadelphia. the shots rang out near moore and south 30th street just before 9:30 last night. police tell us that the 16 year-old was shot two times in both legs and he is now in stable condition. at lee two philadelphia police officers suffered injuries during a protest in center city. hundreds demonstrated as international association of chiefs of police met inside the convention center. "eyewitness news" reporter henry ross off was there. >> reporter: cell phone video shows a scuffle between police and protesters near the frank rizzo statue. it happened a few blocks from the convention center which was hosting a meeting of the major chiefs association. police confirmed two officers suffered minor injuries and several arrest where is made. hours before the violence there was a march that made its weighed through streets of the center city. that crowd called for all to be abolished, several onlookers even those with problems with police thought

disorderly conduct and two will face charges of assault on police. as nor those injured officers their injuries are minor and they are expect to be okay. sessions was also talking about a hundred million-dollar in grant money going to state and local police democrats for hiring of more officers. and in other news, today within of the fallen soldiers at center of the war of word between president trump and florida congress woman was laid to rest on saturday. roxana saberi reports from new york. >> reporter: friends, family and fellow soldiers honored sergeant la david johnson as he was laid to rest on saturday. his pregnant widow myeshia said good bye one final time. questions are growing over how 25 year-old johnson and three other u.s. service members died in an attack in niger october 4th. also why johnson's body was found a mile from the ambush site and how he became

52 degrees right now in philadelphia. fifty in millville. down the shore we are in the upper 40's and 55 degrees in wildwood area. it is 45 in allentown. forty-three in mount pocono. starting to warm up a little bit there. and 44 degrees, currently in lancaster. storm scan three shows we are totally quiet. high pressure is in control, high pressure will be in control through the entire weekend but slowerly but surely making its way off shore. that will be providing us with a slow, out of the south, over next couple days which keeps temperatures well above average this time of the year. note thinks out to the west, a lot of rain, storms, cloud cover, that is associated with a cold front and this is a front movinge and it will march our way and bring us a chance of rain monday night and tuesday. here's that area of high pressure taking a ride off shore. cold front swings to thee, monday we will stay mainly dry but then on tuesday that is where that widespread rain is going to be developing, as

early as morning commute, and then as we head until the afternoon and evening we could talk about strong thunderstorms producing gusty winds. storm prediction center has highlighted delaware and lehigh valleys under marginal risk mainly for threat of gusty winds. that is something to keep an close eye on into tuesday out ahead of the front temperatures well above average for this time of the year. in the zero seven's. seventy-seven today. seventy-six monday. mid zero seven's on tuesday. that is still 10 degrees above our average high for the day-to-day. today's average high 65. now behind the front, temperatures will cool down. sixty-five on wednesday. sixty-one on thursday. a brief cool down because in no time by next weekend we will be reaching to near 70 degrees once again and it wouldn't surprise me by the time october is all said and done that this could be one of the top five warmest octobers on record. we will continue to see how rest of the month pans out but way models are shaping out

family. >> meet abby and erin delaney, four months after they were separated, doctors at children 's hospital of philadelphia provided this video say that the 15 month-old formally conjoined twins are doing real well but still need more reconstructive surgery on their skulls. >> i love you, daddy. >> reporter: heather and riley delaney on live in north carolina came to chop as soon as they learned she was carrying twins conn join at the head. >> when girls were born they were 2-pound 1 ounce appease, they were able to fit inside my shirt and skin to skin with them. so they have grown a lot. >> reporter: before the surgery there was months of detailed planning, doctors knew it was risky, there was a chance they could lose both babies. >> this is scary surgery and we are scared but we cannot let this fear limit our ability to operate either. we have to do the operation that need to be done. >> reporter: part of the planning involves using tissue expand tours slowly stretch skin that would be needed once

the girls were separated. >> you're good, you're strong, right. >> reporter: in june the twins were finally ready for separation surgery and final good bye from their parents. >> the good and bad, silly and awful and happy and sad. >> reporter: the surgery lasted for 11 hours. >> as soon as we are ready we will give them one, two, three and pull them apart. >> reporter: then suddenly there was a complication with ab hi who blood, it was a difficult post surgeon kail talk to parents. >> we were really close to losing her. i'm worried with her brain swelling. >> reporter: there were scary days but abby survived and now mom can finally play dress up with both little girls. >> they are happy, contend little girls for what they have gone through. they have never lived outside hospital walls and they are still happy. >> reporter: erin has been discharged but abby remains hospitalized at chop. family is hoping everyone gets

to go home together by thanksgiving. i'm stephanie stahl for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". we are wishing them the best. in other news today a three-year old boy remains in critical condition after he is shot in the head inside a tioga home and investigators believe a six year-old brother may have pulled the trigger. it happened around 3:00 yesterday afternoon in the 3600 block of north 18th street. authorities say that the three-year old, the six year-old and their 12 year-old brother were all home alone when the shot was fired in the second floor bedroom. the shootings has neighbors frustrated. >> they should not have had access, no way. if they shouldn't, and it would have taken it with them. no, it is unbelievable and unacceptable. >> and at this point, it is un jeer how those boys got access to that handgun and why they were left home alone. police say that the six year-old and his parents are now with detectives.

police say a man suspected of the double stabbing in maryland barricaded himself inside a relative's home in chester county yesterday. tactical teams and negotiators were outside the home on summit street in darby for about four hours, trying to get that suspect to come out. they have succeeded around 6:00 p.m. man is suspected of stabbing his wife and three-year old son in hartford county, maryland and he is awaiting extradition on attempted murder charges. loved one say their final good bye to suggested ladavid johnson one of the four soldiers killed in the african country of niger. family and friends honored sergeant johnson being laid to rest in hollywood, florida yesterday. his death was at the center of the phone call controversy last week between president trump and a florida congress woman. meantime fbi has joined the investigation into how those soldiers were killed on october 4th, and they also want to know why johnson's body was found almost a mile away from the ambush side and

how he became separated from his comrades. well, we may soon have new information, about the 1963 assassination of president john f. kennedy. president trump tweeted yesterday that he is planning to authorize the release of governmental documents that could shed new light on the crime, correspondent kim hutchinson has more. >> reporter: president donald trump tweeted saturday he is planning to authorize release of classified documents that could reveal new details of the assassination of the president john f. kennedy. included in the release will be documents from the fbi and cia, 1992 law known as the john f. kennedy assassination record collection act requires more than 3,000 previously classified, documents be made public by the law's 25th anniversary, which is thursday october 26th. the only person who can prevent release of these documents is president trump who still has power to withhold any or other documents he believes could

as jan has been mentioning it is almost close to november, and we are still dealing with this type of warmth. mainly dry as we head into monday but then cold front will be moving on through and it will be that front that brings us chance for rain and then behind that front we are talking about cooler air if only for a brief time. 53 degrees in philadelphia, it is 50 in millville. down the shore 40's to 50. fifty-one wildwood. we have 45 in allentown. mount pocono at 43. reading. 49 degrees. storm scan three shows we are quiet, high pressure in control. this area of high pressure will be pushing off shore as our next storm system makes its way toward thee. here's a cold front see all this rain, storms, cloud cover , that pushes toward thee it will arrive in our neighborhood monday night and tuesday. in fact widespread rain will be developing across the region. high pressure takes a ride off shore, that will bring us some

turn to the south, and temperatures out ahead of this front still well above average for this time of the year. we are dry for monday. rain will go monday night into tuesday widespread rain is developing and we will even have the possibility, monday afternoon and evening, or tuesday afternoon and evening for showers and thunderstorms to develop, some of which could produce gusty winds. that is why storm prediction center has outlined us in the marginal risk for severe weather for tuesday, specifically tuesday afternoon , and even where we could get, some gusty winds. that is main threat or severe weather we are concerned b out ahead of that front here's those above average temperatures. seventy-seven on sunday. seventy-six on monday. seventy-five on tuesday. even by tuesday we're still 10 e high temperature for today which is 65. behind that front we will see that cool down in the 60's. sixty-five on wednesday. more seasonal this time of the year. sixty-one as we head into thursday. wouldn't surprise me by the time october is all said and done it could be a top five

is well, above average, for this time of the year. average high for the day is 65 mostly cloudy overnight, low temperature of 60 degrees. we will see more of that patchy fog developing as we head in the overnight hours so likely on monday morning you will be dwelling that on your drive-in to work but much of the day on monday should be dry, and our next system moves in monday night into tuesday and that will be bringing us rain or thunderstorm as we head into tuesday afternoon and evening some could be severe, 65 on wednesday behind that storm system with gradual clearing, and we will cool down to 61 on thursday but by next weekend we will be backup to around 70 degrees by saturday, so as i have been saying all morning it wouldn't be surprised me as if october goes down in the record books as a very, very warm act, maybe even one of the these hottest on record. we will see how it plays out. >> i don't hear too many complaints, i will take it. i know november, about two weeks away. >> it is close. >> it does happen. >> thanks, chelsea.
