is cbs eyewitness news at 11:00. >> tonight on eyewitness news a violent weekend in chester. it is causing concern for residents and police officers. five shootings were reported there since friday night. good evening, everyone, i'm natasha brown. thanks for joining us, since january 1 there's been 127 shootings in city of chest her and homicide rate this year is equal to total number of homicides for all of 2016. many in the community blame increased violence and drug trade. joe holden has more. >> chester city, plunge nod a weekend of increased violence. worst of it happened saturday on this basketball court. four people were hit by a shooter police say was positioned up by a hill at i-95. 24 hours later the court was early quiet. >> we were all out here all the kids playing on the swings and everybody had to rush inside. >> patricia madison and kevin eats says this is life chester

of my kids you know i don't want it get caught in the cross fire myself. >> all this weekend's shooting victims are sxeingtsed to survive. some have been uncooperative with detectives. there have been no arrests. >> in the sat center i'm joe holden. cbs3 eyewitness news. >> also tonight police arrest the father of 3-year-old shot by his 6-year-old he brother yesterday in the tioga section of philadelphia. on saturday police say the 6-year-old allegedly shot his little brother in the forehead on the 3600 block of 18 street 3 p.m. at the time of the shooting authorities say the children were home with a 12-year-old brother. their father, 6-year-old sir haven williams is now facing reckless endangermentment charges and toddler remains in extremely critical it at tem it will university hospital. and three philadelphia highway patrol officers are recovering from injuries tonight after a drill team accident in center city. septa transit police chief

thomas posted this on twitter saying "our thoughts and prayers for philly police highway patrol officer injured on market street" the bikes became tangled at a motorcycle student at a police convention the officers were taken to the hospital. two officers were treated and released and third is expected to head home soon. also tonight police investigate two separate daytime shoot ningz philadelphia and left three men in critical condition. police responded to double shooting before 2 p.m. on 2900 block of water loo street. one man was shot twice in leg and second man was shot twice in stomach. both vuk items are in their 2 20s and taken to west chester university hospital. >> a man was shot multiple times on 5400 block heed ra street before 3:00 this afternoon the victim was taken to presbyterian medical center and is currently listed in

critical condition. police continue to investigate both shootings. no are aeingts railroad made just yet. >> and authorities in philadelphia are warping people now about reports of scam artists poking as health development employees to obtain personal information. they're now involved in this investigation and the health department says employees often schedule vista head of time. if they do show up unannounced though they'll present official city i.d. health officials never request personal identifying information like social security numbers and police say if you are unsure about someone claiming to be health department employee call 911 immediately. >> full roster of philadelphia's own elite am lights gathered at chickie's and pete's with more than sports on mines. raising money for hurricane relief. eyewitness reporter alicia nieves show how legend of past
