there. but for now, live from south philly, henry rossoff, cbs 3, "eyewitness news". >> following breaking news this morning, police make gruesome discovery they find woman murdered and stuffed inside trash bag in the city tioga section. officers say they found the woman's body on the 1800 block of westmoreland street, just after 1:00 a.m. they say partially inside a bag, partially on the sidewalk investigators say she had trauma to her face and head. live update coming up in the next hour. >> also, it is sentencing day for former philadelphia da seth williams. williams faces to up five years in prison. he pleaded guilty to a bribery charge in the middle of his federal corruption trial in june. democrat resigned from office and was immediately taken into custody. last week williams officially lost his law license. meantime the candidates vying to replace seth williams will clash in another debate tonight. will square off against republican opponent, beth

grossman at the temple bet zion, 18th and spruce street, debate hosted by center city resident association and moderated by chris brennan of the philadelphia inquire. it is free and open to the public and starts at 7:00 p.m. >> philip ear, police arrested him on child pornography charges earlier this month. commissioners red his resignation letter allowed during the meeting last night. investigators say they found hundreds of graphic images on his computer. the 66 year old has photos many some children as young as two. he will continue to serve on the board because it is not legally remove him until there is a conviction, his preliminary hearing is set for thursday. >> a special election will be held this spring for the seat of former congressman tim murphy. governor wolf made the announcement yesterday, murphy reps the pittsburgh area. text messages showed that the anti-abortion republican encouraged his mistress to have an abortion when he thought she was pregnant. the election scheduled for march 13 of next year.

gunman accused every going on deadly rampage in maryland and delaware last week will first be tried in delaware. prosecutors say will then go on trial in maryland. authorities say the 37 year old shot five co-workers in edgewood, maryland. three of them died. then to up wilmington, he shot acquaintance. charges against prince in delaware include an attempted murder. maryland he faces first degree murder and attempted murder charges. >> a 16 year old girl stabbed during a fight not far from olney charter high school. now philadelphia police are looking for the girl's attacker. it happened on rising sun avenue just few blocks from the boulevard in olney yesterday afternoon. cell phones captured the chaotic scene. dozens every teens started fighting, other stood by and watched. that's when someone stabbed the young girl in her side. officers and school employees jumped into to break up the fightment one maybe or tells " eyewitness news," that fights like this are look ago every day problem. >> so what happens is once one starts fighting, these kids are waiting for the bus here, once one starts fighting, it

plane landing saferly at new york jfk airport last night. few hours earlier, the plane took off from boston on it way to las vegas. shortly after take off, the plane struck the birds, prompting the crew to declare an emergency. the faa couldn't return to boston due to the wet their. >> key west iconic southern most point marker is restored to it former glory. damaged last month. when hurricane irma slammed into the florida keys, massive concrete monument ex-marine navigational buoy, the southern most point of lands in the continental us. 4-ton structure had to be re stucco, prime, and lettering had to be repainted by hands. key west's mayor says it is something that had to be done. >> for key west to really recover, we had to have this monument back painted again, so people could come here again, and take their picture and feel like something cheryle when they visit key west. >> key west was not jeer just ly impacted when hurricane irma hit the keys. it reopened to is verse

how this is encroaching across the delmarva peninsula, kent county getting clobbered with soaking rain. okay, back edge to this, couple of hours worth every rain and we're done, right? not so fast. this is moving through somewhat slowly. so better portion of the day will feature some rain. will it and total wash out? no. you'll have rounds every rain coming through, how much, some of it will in fact be heavy. also some thunderstorms, which could in fact even be on the strong side, especially if we brighten up at all in any given location. solitariesing in portions of the area. 76 degrees, though, for the expected daytime high. we're close to that already. so this is that warm up that you tends to see, classic set up, before the temperatures drop off, colder catches up to us, and skies try to clear out at least little bit. now looking forward, we are going to be in overall sunny pattern headed into wednesday, thursday, and even beyond that point. but the temperatures definitely take a hit. solid nine, ten, degrees drop off, one day to the next, then held back to only 60 by

thursday. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much for that. very good morning to all of you. we are looking outside right now, to some construction on the schuylkill, so schuylkill eastbound between vine and south street, it is closed right now, looks like it will be closed until 5:00 a.m. i'll let you know as soon as it clears. our friend here, squad car sitting with light on, see the markers in the roadway letting you know you cannot go any further. it will start to slow us down in the 5:00 hour. hopefully right at the top of the five that kind of moves out of the way. looking at the vine, looking good, westbound jumping on the schuylkill, looking great. eastbound side, certainly starting to heat up overall looking very normal. same story here, 42, 42 freeway northbound at creek road, approaching 295 looking normal. looking typical. typical until worlds of travel not a bad thing. downed tree here, dennis township new jersey, route 47, delsea drive, closed at paper mill. you will have to use your alternate. creek mill road will be your best bet around that, plus seeing all green everywhere else. looking good in that area as side from the downed tree.

>> pennsylvania drivers listen up, if you still have small registration sticker on your license plate you could be at risk every being pulled over. they stopped issuing the stickers last year, old stick remembers expired even if the actual vehicle registration isn't. penndot spokesperson says there have been at least three instances of pa drivers getting pulled over out of state. >> politely explain to the officer that pennsylvania laws have changed, no longer requiring the sticker to be affixed to the plate, cents
