take fog over rain any day in terms of the morning commute. yesterday we had problems with that. so how long will that linger around. >> for one thing very localized not everybody is seeing fog but further southeast more likely you will run into it. it is really just the final hours of this, problem, you know, because we just need wind to pick up and that will in fact happen over the next say two hours or so. so as we approach, not only will we have sunshine to help get rid of the fog but also the wind, won't allow to it stick around. so with time that does clear out for us. meanwhile storm scan is basically empty, otherwise, you can see over my shoulder how that rain will make its full departure and we will see wrap around shower heading in to tomorrow, this is an all clear for us in the wake of the frontal boundary but front , cold front, absolutely living up to its name. new war back to where we should be for late october. fifty-eight at philly as well as at ac international but by comparison to yesterday we have seen 15 to 20 degrees

cooler by comparison. so back to layering up here right now and dew points have dropped off, all the way in the 30's up in the poconos and the 50's at the shore. that is a buffer for example where we will still have some fog in the area. dew points are nice and high, win nice and light but with time sun comes up, breeze kicks up and that that will be moving out. expect to see some sun break go through those cloud. not the brightest prettiest day we have ever seen but it is pretty nice. you will not need umbrella today, meisha. >> good, that is good. one less thing we have to care on. thanks very much, katie. looking outside, happy wednesday, looking at the vine , the schuylkill, if you head out there right now we are looking g looking normal now that we are dipping in the 5:00 o'clock hour. we are looking at construction here in certain areas, has closed. this is not construction, schuylkill eastbound on ramp from montgomery drive on ramp closed because tree business to snap. we have crews trying to get this remedied and let you know when they do and move out of your way. construction here, and, and,

and, schuylkill, blocked, and we have an accident out there in collegeville, and, route 29 north bound ramp to route 422 still out there, we will let you know when that clears. rahel and jim, talking about restaurant fire on south street and second street close another south street close another between second and third and also closed between south and lombard. so this will be an area that will start to get busy as we move deeper in the 5:00 o'clock hour. hopefully this remedied soon but right now south street for all of you traveling around there make note of those closures, as i will tweet that information out. construction in norristown 202 dekalb street closed between washington street and lafayette street. use an alternate as well, 202, markly street will be your best bet, overall, for the most part, nice dry roadways just some fog we are contend ing with. jim, back over to you. more on our breaking news an out of control fire at popular south street restaurant. >> receipts get to "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live

at bridget foy and the fire is still burning at this hour: >> reporter: absolutely, rahel , you cab see let me take you over here now this fire has been raging, for almost four hours now and what you see here on the scene is that this fire will start to flare up, fire fighters will knock it down as they are doing as you can see right now and it will flare up again. on an i have for past four hours and anywhere in this area for several blocks around society hill you can see these bilos of smoke, as you come up here, but fortunately, no injuries, to human life, but we have learned that two dogs from a neighboring pet groomer has died as a result of fire. one cat was rush to the vet, 11 people displayed this morning from neighboring apartments. commissioner called this a stubborn fire this started at 1:15 in the basement of bridget foys and rose to two alarms. crew where is fighting the

fire from the inside but with fears of collapse fire fighters were pulled out of the building, somehow though they managed to keep the fire contained, to the bridget foy 's building, but the fire commissioner says that task has not been easy. >> very deep seeded, stubborn, intense fire. we have pulled everybody out. early as you can see doing what we call an exterior attack. we are protecting surrounding buildings, but again, fire fighters are doing a incredible job keeping this fire contained to the building of origin and keeping it from spreading to any of the adjacent occupants. >> and taking a look again, there is bilos of smoke coming from this building, now, as you can see the smoke but there are a number of fire fighters on the roof, of an adjacent building looking down on the fire, and obviously very active scene here, we have been down here sometime and fire commissioner says it will be sometime before they determine the cause but it

started in the basement of the bridget foys restaurant and proving to be a very difficult fire to fight. for newer with live, i'm trang do cbs-3 "eyewitness news", rahel and jim back to you. >> trang do, thank you. in other news no suspects yet after two teenagers are murdered in south philadelphia >> one of the victims is now identified as, a junior, at st. joes prep, both were shot at 8:30 near 12th and ritner street they were brought to jefferson university hospital where they were pronounced dead. eyewitnesses say it was spark by a argument. police have not identified the second victim. we will have a live report on thins dent in the next half an hour. meanwhile classes resumed today at pen wood middle school in darby, delaware county. school was closed yesterday after a body was found nearby. two people in the car got in the fight and one of them fatally shot the other. there is no word on the victim 's identity. the shooter remains on the loose. search is also on for a shooting suspect who escaped police custody in north philadelphia. police are looking for this

man, lemilk conde. he was getaway drive on the 4,000 block of el street. police located the suspect at tenth and russell street but he somehow escaped custody. police say that, scent tracking dogs led authorities to a garage nearby where they found drugs and high powered weapons. >> throughout the property, they found a packaging operation, what is used to cut , weigh, and package and put into bundles of heroin for street sales. >> shooting victim is hospitalized in stable condition, there is in word on a motive for shooting. to the nation's capitol two republican senators are breaking with party lines publicly criticizing president trump and holding nothing back cbs news correspondent nicki batiste the president respond ed with harsh word of his own. >> reporter: two republican senators issued no holds barred criticism of president trump on tuesday. >> when the next generation

fire fighters battled exploding propane tanks and 20-e spread to three trucks before fire fighters placed it under control. back at home montgomery county school says students will face punishment after video surfaces of laughing and chanting the n word. we have blurred this video because it does involve minors , at pope john paul, ii high school in royersford. it is a parents we spoke to say, the incident is nothing

to laugh about. >> for them to say, everybody say, you know, and saying it, and, you know, they are laughing, you know, i mean i don't find anything fun bye that. >> you heard all of us -- you are hurting all of us classmates. it should not be like this. >> archdiocese did release a statement reading in part we are disheartened and beyond disappoint that had young people attending our school would engage in hateful behavior of this nature. internal school investigation is underway and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against all those responsible. seth williams is likely going to jail for the next five years, former philadelphia district attorney has two weeks to appeal the decision. philadelphia judge imposed max sentence during a hearing yesterday in center city. williams pleaded guilty to one count of bribery this summer. he also admitted to, defrauded a nursing home that cared for his mother. the lawyers for williams asked the judge to release him on electronic monitoring so he can spend time with his mother before going to prison.

that request was denied. meanwhile the district attorney race to replace seth williams has come to a head, candidates debated at temple zion at 18th and spruce street , democratic nominee larry krasner faced off with republican nominee beth grossman. voters head to the polls in two weeks, november 2nd. all right, katie joins us again, it seems like seasonal weather is coming back. now we're hearing about the 70 's. i don't know what to make of it. >> it is so tough because we never know and with the pattern like this, whether you can put out the fall boots or keep them in the closet or finally tuck the flip-flops away, you never necessity where this is going. i don't expect to see any kind of significant warmth, where we're going to be in shorts and a t-shirt anytime soon but there are warmer days then others. we will get to that here in the upcoming seven day but lets get you out the door here too we have seen some fog issues. now, out on the boardwalk plaza in rehoboth one example where we don't have fog and

most of the region, it is looking like this. however, there are someplaces, i'm having trouble in my, slew of cameras that we can see anything right now because it is so dark finding any fog. however, it is extreme southeastern part of the pennsylvania, so north philadelphia, especially and down into southern new jersey where we are finding that. boardwalk place, rehoboth, good portion of the area we are fine in that regard but a frontal boundary, is making its departure here. wind has not picked up all that much and that is why, since there is a bit of moisture left over to work w part of the reason that fog has had a chance to form. however, we are basically, sitting pretty here today. there are major differencees from one day to the next. a, you don't need the umbrella and b, it is cooler. we are layering up. trading out weather accessories from umbrella to sweat shirt or extra layer here but this storm system is stim a bigger, it is a bigger deal then a frontal passage. likely in into tomorrow, maybe cloud and left over sprinkle. you are done with the umbrella at least until upcoming

weekend. sign of things to come, right. looking at wind speed they are pretty light. we have nice calm wind in atlantic city still a hint of moisture. that is all you need for some fog to form, so watch out for it in spots, it is primarily out of the northwest but it is relatively a light win, throughout the rest of the day , and high, hit 56, this is a lot closer to where we should be technically a smidge above average we will take it. back to sunshine and mix of cloud as well. later tonight, now it is time to turn heater back on if you have not done that as ovulate, partly cloudy skies, down to 48 degrees. looking ahead here, lots to talk about here in the longer term, and some are saying a spring bull friday, saturday look awesome. saturday peak with the warmth, and then sunday, soggy, looking day right now, we will get a lot more specific with timing for the eagles game as we get closer but at the moment halloween it is looking good. >> good. >> yeah, katie, i will be hosting that eagles tailgate on sunday with the guys over at wip and, yikes, if there is all that rain, come up and say

hi to me. forty-two freeway north bound at creek road, approaching 295 , this is what you are looking at. just a sea of headlights. forty-two you are start to go get busy in new jersey, schuylkill headlights moving in the eastbound direction near henderson road, you can see the same story here, just a lot of headlights pushing in the eastbound direction on the schuylkill. we are heating up there. and then here, schuylkill eastbound on ramp from montgomery drive that ramp is closed because of a tree here business to snap, and so we have crews out here right new trying to get around and get that cleaned up and we will let you know when this move out of the way. blue route southbound off ramp to the schuylkill we have had construction here ramp is partially block. you can see cones, still in the roadway. plus, we have an accident out there in collegeville, been out there for a little bit, but not yet cleared out, route 29 northbound the ramp to route 422 is compromised just a head up on that. and restaurant fire that rahel and jim have been talking about south street and second, here are your closures we will let you know when this clears, closed between second and

angeles from 1979 to 1986 he portrayed the level headed benson, a role that won him an em any 1985. before that he starred in the sitcom soap in recent years he was battling prostate cancer. he leaves behind a wife, four children. he was 89 years old.
