"eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan joins us now from mount laurel where a vigil and town hall meeting is taking place tonight, cleve. >> reporter: ukee, they are calling this the kick out opioid abuse, the town hall tonight and vigil before that for those who have died, and earlier today i spoke to some people who lost loved won to the opioid crisis and they are hoping for help even as they help others in sharing their pain. as halloween approaches the decorations at susan harrison 's home serve as a reminder, she and her sister ann no longer have their brother king to help greet trick or treaters. >> it has been a year since i have not seen him, talked to him, hugged him. >> reporter: october 29th, 2016, days before his 50th boy day, king died of a heroin

overdose lethal batch layed with fentanyl. >> he ever dozed in my home, i found him, that is something that, you know, you never forget. >> reporter: like so many who die of heroin his addiction started with opioid painkillers. >> mid 90's he broke his back on a wave runner, he was put on perk sets. >> reporter: this year they have launched other victims of opioid abuse and their families, they call it king's crusade. >> he could ab live, and so many could ab live. >> reporter: if only they could get help and therein lies the problem according to experts there are not enough resource toss treat the growing number of addicts. >> we're talking about people dying in droves. >> reporter: louise habit who who a son found the people to people drug abuse network in south jersey 20 years ago. she said without insurance addicts have very few options. >> we will say what kind of insurance do you have? do you have anything? they will say no. or medicaid, maybe. okay, we can get new detox right away. but then we're not sure about the treatment.

after tuesday night's shooting on 12th and ritner. sixteen year-old caleer miller and sal dinubile were killed. family and friend of the victims are now coping with their loss. >> obviously as a human can i wouldn't take tonight my own hand to get revenge because that will not make me feel better bit. >> i'm angry, math mad, heart broken,. >> so far no arrests have been made in this case, vigil for miller will be held at 7:30 tonight at point breeze. hundreds of dinubile's family and friend gathered for a vigil in his honor last night. following a weekend of violent crime in chester delaware county local leaders reiterated today that they are committed to curbing gun violence between last friday and monday morning, eight people were shot in chester, four of them on a basketball court on the 1200 block of carlos lane near north 11th street, that is where state, county leaders gathered to day to announce that change is coming.

down, off of the ocean floor. >> looking in the pot and there she was. wow, wow, look, we saw it was a lobster. pretty cool. >> reporter: highlight of their four day trip a brilliant blue lobster in the sea of brown and green see dwellers. >> we pulled it up and we took pictures and put some bands on it. >> reporter: eric has fished these waters all his life, it is an amazingly rare one and a half pound catch. >> i have never seen one myself. i have heard of it. it is pretty rare. one in 2 million. it is crazy. >> a lot of the older fisherman, 70, 80 years old never seen one. >> reporter: they work waters from lobster from april to december. they are year so far has been unremarkable. >> once in a while we will get two with the crazy looking claws. i just said that to these guys we haven't caught anything too cool. then we caught that. >> reporter: they are launching a new boat that makes this sentimental for a final voyage aboard this vessel. >> every once in a while we will do and who will eat it or

that the people here are doing. it's like making mini sandwiches. they're no different than anyone else. they just want a job. they want respect and they want dignity. this is a nice place. yeah. he plays basketball with lauren. steve called, fairly frantic. you know, he had a premature baby and i think he had just been given the diagnosis that she had down syndrome. lauren brought out the best in me. she made me a different person. deep down in his heart he feels for people who are disadvantaged. lauren's a light in everybody eye. she's the spark that has started the fire. the goal is to keep places like this open so all people, regardless of disability, have an opportunity for employment. see, i love you. i love you guys too. you know that. yeah.
