development. trang? >> reporter: rahel, jim, just one police carstarphan remains here on the hundred hundred block every juniper street where shots were fired at a home of a teenage here is believed to be person of interest in the shooting death of two south philadelphia teens earlier this week. now what happened was a police officer tweeted a photo of the teen and his address last night, but then quickly took that tweet down. but take a look at video of the scene overnight. officer nearby heard shots fired around 1:30 this morning on the 1600 block of juniper street. police say the person fired at least 14 shots into one specific home. you can see bullet holes throughout the front window of the home. no one was hit. now the shooting investigation is believed to be linked to the killings of 16 year old sal denubile student at sane joe's prep and caleer, also 16 , attended master i charter. tuesday into someone shot and killed the boys after argument after sal's home at 12th and ritner street. unclear what the argument was

about, but again police are looking foreperson of interest who we are not naming at this time. now, investigators are out here earlier this morning, the crime scene unit watch i'm being told there are surveillance cameras on this block, 1600 block of juniper street that investigators are hoping could provide some clues as to the identity of the shooter here. but for now, live in south philadelphia. i'm trang do, cbs-3, " eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> okay, trang, thank you. >> police make at least one arrest in a brazen attack caught on camera in philadelphia's kingsessing section. now this happened at luke oil gas station, on the 5700 block of baltimore avenue. late friday night. in the video, you can see, one of the suspect knocks the victim to the grounds later on , another suspect jumps in the victim's car and takes off police say the suspects range in age from 14 to 25. the victim is home recovering after being in a coma for three days. >> police charge west philadelphia charter school official with raping a 14 year old girl, officials say 42

year old omar harrison, harrison was the dean at master i charter where the victim was student. the victim says it happened at a hotel near the airport in tinicum township. he's being held on $100,000 bail. >> authorities in camden trying to figure out what caused a school bus to hit a six year old boy. this happened at alabama and collings road around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. at this point it is unclear whether or not the boy was getting off the because when he was hit. police rush the child to the hospital where he is in serious condition. >> in other news, historians combing through thousands of previously secret files on the assassination of president john f. kennedy. the national archives released about 2800 records on the assassination. but roughly 300 files are being withheld out of concern for national security. some of the documents released detail the us government's effort to overthrow the castro regime in the 19 60s and 70s, and there is much more to this story, we'll have for you in a live report at 6:30.

meanwhile, president trump has declared a public health emergency to fight the nation 's opioid epidemic. but some say his plan won't provide enough money to combat the growing crisis. cbs news correspondent mola lenghi has more from the white house. >> the president got personal in dealing with the nation's opioid crisis. he talked about his late brother fred, who was an alcoholic. he had a problem with alcohol. and he would tell me: don't drink. don't drink. he was substantially older and i list toned him president president trump declared it a public health emergency. we owe it to our children and to our country to do everything in our power to address this national shame and this human tragedy. >> the declaration will streamline access to addiction treatment, financing comes from the public health emergency funds which has balance of only $56,000. the federal government says combating the crisis costs $75 billion per year.

>> well, back on "eyewitness news" with a massive wild fire in southern california. >> sweeping through the cleveland national poor he is, mandatory evacuations, flames errupted 12:30 p.m., 70 miles from la. officials say the fire started when a man crashed his dirt bike into a tree, igniting the bike's gasoline. >> well, a driver takes police off road during a high speed chase in ohio. surprisingly, that driver was a ten year old.

>> officers had to surround the child in order to stop him police take him down a high we near cleveland yesterday. at one point he veers off the road. now, this is the second time this month that same boy stole his family's car. this time he led troopers on high speed chase for more than 50 miles. one officer said the child was determine to keep ongoing. police say whether they finally made icon tact with the boy and told him to pull over, he shook his head and kept going. no one was seriously hurt in the chase. >> okay, where are the parent with this kid? twice? >> and where are you keeping the keys at night? >> the mom was chasing, the so we have some issues. >> a lot of questions there. glad everybody's okay. also, just in the nick of time two, women and their dogs lost at sea for month finally found . >> the woman say they their boat lost power during a storm , after spending five months in the open ocean the women say they new they didn't have much time left.
