in the city of camden. the wound is not life-threatening. the officer is expected to be ok. this is a live look from chopper 3. a camden county metro police officer shot in camden. more information as we get it. also, terrorism charges in the new york city attack. good evening, i'm ukee washington >> i'm jessica dean. tonight, authorities say the suspect sayfullo saipov was motivated by online calls to action from isis. saipov facing terrorism charges and he's being rejecteded by a public defender. even as he lay wounded in the hospital. he asked to display the isis flag in his room and said he felt good about what he had done. yesterday's attack killed eight people. more than a dozen were injured including four critically. david spunt has more on what we're learning about the suspect's plan. >> authorities say the suspect wanted to kill as many people as possible. he had bigger plans. tonight, sayfullo saipov is

facing federal terrorism charges. in just a few hours ago, the fbi put out a bulletin looking for a potential accomplice. that man is now in custody. with no regard for human life, authorities say 29-year-old sayfullo saipov mowed down a crowd of bicyclists and pedestrians tuesday, the deadliest terror in new york since 911. eight people were killed, more than a dozen injured. prosecuto prosecutors announced federal charges against saipov. he chose halloween for the take because he thought there would be more on the street. he appeared in federal court >> first material support of a terrorism organization. second, a federal charge of violence and instruction of a motor vehicle with willful disregard for the safety of human life that resulted in multiple deaths. >> police towed away the mangled

truck. recovered handwritten notes in arabic left at the crime scene. the 29-year-old bragged about his plan and praised isis. he came to the united from ubekistan in 2010 but authorities believe he was radicaled on line. >> the fbi put out a bulletin looking for mukhammadzoir kadirov a possible accomplice also from ubekistan. but they took him into custody a few hours later. >> the charges announced this evening while significant should be taken as no indication our work is over >> we also learned saipov was an uber driver who passed a background check with a company. authorities say he planned the attack two months and rented a truck nine days before the attack. he could be put to death. david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news." the nypd officer hailed as

hero faced the camera. officer nash faced the camera stopping him >> although i feel we were just doing our job. i understand the important of the events and the role we played and i'm grateful for the recognition we received. nash is a five-year veteran of the new york city police department we're also learning more about the victims of the terror attack. five of those killed were friends from argentina in new york celebrating the 30th anniversary of high school graduation, this is video of the man right here biking before the attack. another victim was a belgium woman who leaves behind two young children. also was 23-year-old nicholas cleves of new york a software engineer and 33-year-old james drake from new jersey, a project manager with an investment firm. >> search warrant executed. agents raid a nursing home in delaware county and we're looking what investigators are

looking for. that's unfolding another st. francis center for rehabilitation and health care in darby bureau. alexandria hoff is live there tonight. alex? >> reporter: the state attorney general's office will not comment on the exact nature of this investigation. but what we do know is and we have seen are state inspectors in and out of the doors to this nursing home all evening long. eyewitness was told by a relative of a resident to st. francis rehabilitation and health care center in darby, that visitors were stopped at the door's asked questions about the care of their loved ones. parked out front, vehicles with the state attorney general's office investigations unit. august, complaints prompted an inspection by state officials. their finding indicated patterns of neglect. examples acting without urgency to call for ambulance transport. failure to document significant weight loss and another case where one resident's wounds went

unexamined despite sores that went quote down to the bone with exposed tendon. in order to invoke the facility's license was paused by an appeal that the home needed to improve. >> we saw some things here there and back when we first started going there. and we were like what the heck. and you know, to a point that we made sure that we had somebody there every day >> this loved one of a resident at st. francis asked to remain anonymous. told us over the phone that she's confused by sudden presence of states officials since she seen a recent improvement in her father's care >> much more attend ive and helpful, they're trying. >> reporter: since september be st. francis has been operating under state control. reporting live in delaware county alexandria hoff. we're hearing from an eyewitness to a road rage murder

a state law reveals a 2004 limiting opener of casinos. kate bilo joins us with the forecast. and tomorrow things are going up in terms of temperature >> we're back to the 70's. this is the second warmest october on record. now, looks like november starting off on a warm note as well. today was actually a degree or two above normal despite the clouds and cool conditions into the low 60's. of we got to about 63 or so. so a little bit above average tomorrow though, way above average in fact closer to a record than to the average high. a look outside right now does show fog starting to form you can see low clouds there the top of the buildings in center city shrouded in a little bit of fog. and there will be pockets of locally dense fog that form overinto tomorrow morning especially into our north and west suburb, not totally clear but the city looking ok for

drivers right about now. just gets a little worse overnight. stormscan 3 shows a like that of shower along a warm front lifting through portions of new england. showers really, for the most part, stayed off to the north and west and we're a couple of stray sprinkles, still could be a stray sprinkle here or there but it's nothing more than a few scattered drops. we'll see most of this end as we go through the overnight hours of if this lifts to the north. the cold front associated with the same will come through on friday. temperatures are actually gradually rising in a few spots, kutztown mid 40's. at 5:00, 6:00 this evening now, back to 50. milford at 54. it's 61 in cape may courthouse. temperatures holding steady. we'll stay in the mid 50's and it's not all that bad outside when you walk out the door tomorrow morning. but what you'll want to watch for the first part of the morning commute especially north and west of the city our northwest cities could see locally dense fog, future

visibility has about a zero million visibility and lancaster at 7:00 a.m. safe out there on the roads. temperatures surge. that will come through friday. we're nearing record territory with highs in the mid 70's. records are in the low 80's for the next two days, doesn't look like we'll break but get close, mid 70's thursday and friday before another smaller warmup on sunday. couple of showers possible as that front comes through. this is friday afternoon. here comes the front, first and foremost, it comes through generally dry but it will drop the temperature into the start of the weekend on saturday. j watch for the fog overnight. 55 will be the low. tomorrow not bad, brilliant sunshine, high of 75. cooler for the eagles game but not quite as wet as last week. just a stray shower around kickoff. we're back to the low 70's early next week again, so the warm

he stood up to north jersey special interests nobody delivers more for south jersey than steve sweeney. to increase funding for our schools. he stopped christie's commuter tax, saving south jersey residents over 200 million dollars. and he led the charge to pass paid family leave. aarp applauded sweeney for freezing property taxes for seniors and cutting prices on prescription drugs. "i got to take my hat off to him. he's a man of his word." steve sweeney. because there's more work to do to get south jersey's fair share.
