a camden county police officer from the metro division has been shot. it happened at 9th and shelton in the city of camden. the wound is not life-threatening. the officer is expected to be ok. this is a live look from chopper 3. a camden county metro police officer shot in camden. more information as we get it. also, terrorism charges in the new york city attack. good evening, i'm ukee washington >> i'm jessica dean. tonight, authorities say the suspect sayfullo saipov was motivated by online calls to action from isis. saipov facing terrorism charges and he's being rejecteded by a public defender. even as he lay wounded in the hospital. he asked to display the isis flag in his room and said he felt good about what he had done. yesterday's attack killed eight people. more than a dozen were injured including four critically. david spunt has more on what we're learning about the suspect's plan. >> authorities say the suspect

wanted to kill as many people as possible. he had bigger plans. tonight, sayfullo saipov is facing federal terrorism charges. in just a few hours ago, the fbi put out a bulletin looking for a potential accomplice. that man is now in custody. with no regard for human life, authorities say 29-year-old sayfullo saipov mowed down a crowd of bicyclists and pedestrians tuesday, the deadliest terror in new york since 911. eight people were killed, more than a dozen injured. prosecuto prosecutors announced federal charges against saipov. he chose halloween for the take because he thought there would be more on the street. he appeared in federal court >> first material support of a terrorism organization. second, a federal charge of violence and instruction of a motor vehicle with willful disregard for the safety of

human life that resulted in multiple deaths. >> police towed away the mangled truck. recovered handwritten notes in arabic left at the crime scene. the 29-year-old bragged about his plan and praised isis. he came to the united from ubekistan in 2010 but authorities believe he was radicaled on line. >> the fbi put out a bulletin looking for mukhammadzoir kadirov a possible accomplice also from ubekistan. but they took him into custody a few hours later. >> the charges announced this evening while significant should be taken as no indication our work is over >> we also learned saipov was an uber driver who passed a background check with a company. authorities say he planned the attack two months and rented a truck nine days before the

attack. he could be put to death. david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news." the nypd officer hailed as hero faced the camera. officer nash faced the camera stopping him >> although i feel we were just doing our job. i understand the important of the events and the role we played and i'm grateful for the recognition we received. nash is a five-year veteran of the new york city police department we're also learning more about the victims of the terror attack. five of those killed were friends from argentina in new york celebrating the 30th anniversary of high school graduation, this is video of the man right here biking before the attack. another victim was a belgium woman who leaves behind two young children. also was 23-year-old nicholas cleves of new york a software engineer and 33-year-old james drake from new jersey, a project manager with an investment firm. >> search warrant executed.

agents raid a nursing home in delaware county and we're looking what investigators are looking for. that's unfolding another st. francis center for rehabilitation and health care in darby bureau. alexandria hoff is live there tonight. alex? >> reporter: the state attorney general's office will not comment on the exact nature of this investigation. but what we do know is and we have seen are state inspectors in and out of the doors to this nursing home all evening long. eyewitness was told by a relative of a resident to st. francis rehabilitation and health care center in darby, that visitors were stopped at the door's asked questions about the care of their loved ones. parked out front, vehicles with the state attorney general's office investigations unit. august, complaints prompted an inspection by state officials. their finding indicated patterns of neglect. examples acting without urgency to call for ambulance transport.
