construction 202 north bound near route one we have information that this might be clearing as well. we have a hazy shot but you can see flashing lights way off in the distance. hopefully they are moving that out right now and the boulevard crew is still out there as well traveling less than posted speed around north and south between adams avenue and f street so inner lanes are closed just a head up there, plus, 202 in norristown dekalb street closed between front street and lafayette street so use an alternate, markly street will be your best bet, and then we have some construction 495 north past edgemore road two left lanes blocked there, jim and rahel, back to you. police in camden county make an arrest after one of their own is shot in line of duty. >> "eyewitness news" reporter frank does live outside cooper university hospital with an update, on the officer's condition, trang do good morning. >> reporter: good morning. fortunately this jurist non- life threatening. he is in stable condition at cooper hospital and is expect to recover. doctors say quick actions of his fellow officers in

applying a tourniquet to his wound really helped tremendous ly in this case but take a look at this video from the scene of chopper three overnight. this happened just before 10:30 wednesday near ninth and chelten avenue in camden. police chief scott thompson says his officers were conducting an investigation in the area and then stopped a few people, and there was this one man who pulled out a gun and struggle ensued. during that struggle officer was shot in the upper right thigh and rushed here to cooper university hospital. other officers then arrested the shooter and then recovered the gun, chief thompson praised the action of the injured officer as well as his peers. >> super proud of the officer and proud of the fellow officers that responded, minimized the situation without injury to even the suspect. they responded heroically, they saved the life of the suspect, they saved the life of their officers, brother officers, and got them to the hospital and will be just fine >> reporter: the chief is not naming the injured officer at

this time but says he has been on the force for about a year. he is not naming suspect but he is an adult male lives here in camden. for now we are live from cooper university hospital i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news", jim and rahel back to you. >> thanks, trang do. vigil was held to mark 10 years since murder of philadelphia police officer chuck cassidy. his family and fellow members of the force gathered outside of the dunkin' donuts in west oak lane where he was killed when he interrupted a robbery in progress. officer cassidy was just 54 year-old. john jordan lewis pleaded guilty and sentenced to death. a 23 year-old man is murdered in north philadelphia overnight, police responded to 16th and lip inn cot street just after 2:00 a.m. where they found the victim. he was pronounced dead at the scene. so far no arrests have been made. also overnight a car smash necessary to a building in north philadelphia killing one person and sending another to the hospital. this happened on the 900 block of rising sun avenue, earlier this morning, and we're told surviving victim is currently

in critical but stable condition. state investigators raid a nursing home in delaware county after a complaints about the care given to patients there "eyewitness news" has learned that visitors to the saint frances rehab and health care center in darby were stopped at the door last night and asked by investigators about the care of their loved won. in august complaints prompted an inspection by officials with the state attorney general's office, findings that indicated patterns of neglect that included serious bed sores on patients. we spoke to the daughter of a resident who asked to remain anonymous. >> we saw something here and there, back when we first started to go there and we were like what the heck, you know, to a point that we made sure that we had somebody there every day. >> and in order to revoke the facility's license was repealed back in september and instead a set of conditions that the facility was required to meet was put into place and operating under state control since then. this morning man accused of plowing a truck through a new york city bike lane are facing terrorism charges. >> eight people were killed in

that attack but new details, suggest that the death toll could have been much worse. here's cbs news correspondent hanna doba. >> nypd terrorist should get a death penalty according to a tweet from president trump overnight. sayfull saipov the man accused of plowing a truck through a bike lane appeared in court yesterday. >> we have charged him with federal crimes of terrorism. >> reporter: saipov wounded by police after the attack was rolled in to court in a wheelchair and shackles. he didn't enter a plea or seek bail, if convicted, the death penalty is a possibility. >> a search of cell phones found in the bag that he was carrying revealed thousands of ice is-related images and 90 videos. >> reporter: police found knives and a note with islamic religious references, sources tell cbs news that he bragged about what he did and was very pleased with the success. >> investigators say saipov admitted to planning the attacks for about a year. according to court papers he

end of the daylight savings time is upon us this sunday clocks will roll back an hour but commission in massachusetts just voted to put a stop to that, it means it gets darker earlier and that doesn't sit well with the commission. they argued that the if the skies were brighter longer there would be less crime and fewer traffic accidents. there are stud that is say there are more accidents, anyway, those who weigh in like idea of keeping daylight savings time here. >> just want to get home, curl up, only at 5:00 and you still have all this time left in the day but feels like there is nothing left because it is so dark outside. >> it plays on your internal clock as well, would i fine just keeping daylight savings time. >> they say longer days would help save energy, at this point, it is just

recommendation nothing official yet. katie, as you know, there are studies that have been around daylight savings time there are more accidents, all sorts of things because our bodies are tired, we are more tired and we need to keep schedule. >> i'm happy i'm getting an extra hour of sleep. >> amen to that. >> yes. >> it messes you up. you come out, the following monday, and you got to deal with sun glare all over again at a time you weren't expecting it too it is less of a transition, that, you know, it is a switch that is not as harsh from one day to the next if you can see daylight savings or coming up earlier just a little bit with every passing day but regardless we will digress. lets take a look storm scan, storm itself is not that impressive looking. it does have some moisture with it but doesn't have really, clear cut organization , although, there are a few front crossing through here warm front followed by cold front and we will, as a result, warm up here in a big way for next couple days. mid 70's bet today and tomorrow, we will cool off and

warm up again in the next few days. don't expect any wet weather. even though this looks like a active radar and it is, but not for us this will continue to lift out, we will end up with more sun then anything believe it or not, even though you are walking outside to a hint of fog, here's a view that isn't looking outside, pleasant middle high school, 50 degrees is the current temperature. we started off the morning yesterday easily in the 30's in a lot of the outlining suburbs, places like this so you will really note that is change of pace, opt for lighter jacket as opposed to the winter coat. we are likely to not hit any record in the days ahead but we will at least do some harmless flirtation here, 75 today. seventy-six tomorrow, and again even though i'm not expecting any record we're basically, you know, going back the two days of mid to late september with these temperatures. nice warm conditions. seventy-five. very warm day. sun coming up at 7:31.
