eagles game day forecast in just a bit, jan. >> sounds good. 8:01, this morning, teenager dead after an overnight shooting in north philadelphia the gunfire also left a 12 year old boy hospitalized. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live at temple university hospital this morning, where that 12 year old is now recovering, anita, do police have any leads on suspect here? >> well, jan, witnesses told police that the gunman appeared to be about five-six, wore all dark clothing, but police may get better idea after speaking to this 12 year old shot in the leg but is in stable condition here at temple university hospital. now, the gunfire unfolded just after midnight on north 19th street by west somerset street. that's right off west lehigh avenue. and investigators responded there just after midnight when a gunman fired bullets, into a group of teens there. bullets hit the 16 year old twice in the chest, and once in the neck, while the 12 year old got hit once in the leg.

>> right now eight shell casings, projectiles, also four strike marks on the actual property itself, one on the door, three on the wall. >> and investigators are speaking to witnesses, and looking for any surveillance video in the area. if you know anything, call police. live at temple university hospital. anita oh, cbs-3 "eyewitness news." >> all right, anita, thank you philadelphia police are investigating another overnight double shooting. this shooting happened around 1:00 a.m., on the 400 block every west wyoming avenue. that's in the city feltonville section. one person is hospitalized this morning, in critical condition. the other victim was hit in the leg and is now in stable condition. no arrests made, and no word on what may have led up to the shootingment family, friend, remembering teenager shot and killed in south philadelphia last month.

viewing and funeral at fellowship church in philadelphia, he was just 16 years old. police say 16 year old brandon oliveri shot miller and 16 year old sal denubile during a argument happened near 12th and ritner on october 24. oliveri is being held without bail. >> a march accused of killing his very own brother inside a home in elkins park. police caught up with the suspect at upper moore lands township motel. as "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan reports, police say, they found the suspect with his brother's stolen car. >> a neighbor who didn't want to appear on camera told us he was concerned all day whether he saw his neighbor harry's car wasn't here, now those fears confirmed, harry bokman of elkins park found dead in his home. police say around 1215 dispatched to the 400 block of north sterling road for wellness check. sixty-four year old harry bok man who lives in the house was supposed to be the family member on friday night for dinner and never showed up. police say bokman's 60 year

investigators say steven paddock's gambling lost cost have sent him into downward spiral. paddock lost a significant amount of money over the past few years, and investigators say, with those losses, came diminished status. neighbor faces charges after an assault on senator rand paul. state troopers say the kentucky republican suffered minor injuries during the attack. and and at his bowling green home friday afternoon. the suspect rene buyshare now out on bail, charged with one count of forced assault. reporting that the f.b.i. now investigating it this attack was politically motivated, a spokesperson says senator paul was blind sided, but is fine. >> this morning, a camden county police officer is waking up at home. officer patrick o'hanlon gave a thumbs-up as he left the hospital yesterday. o'hanlon was shot in the line of duty. investigators say, the officer confront add man acting suspiciously, wednesday night, and that's when police say that man shot the officer in

it is 59 degrees, currently in millville. we're in the 60s now down the shore. 62 degrees in wildwood. it is 60 degrees in atlantic city. we're at 51 allentown, cool spot on the map, all morning, mount pocono at 44. low 50's for reading, and also lancaster, checking in right around 51 degrees. here is a look at the winds, we have the on shore flow. then persistent, we have coastal flood advisories, and in effect through the noon hour. for portions of the new jersey coastline, also, for the delaware beaches. those winds will be shifting out of the south, so later on this afternoon, and that's going to allow temperatures to bump up little bit from where they were yesterday. yesterday's high temperature 69. different story today. forecasting high in the mid 60s. then by monday, 72 degrees. that's out ahead of colds front. behind the front of course temperatures are going to drop off. and for change, actually ends up being couple every degrees below average for this time of year. but that front is going to bring us the risk for more rain, maybe even thunderstorm.

then we get to that. for today, the clouds dominate the forecast. maybe a little bit of drizzle, patchy drizzle here and there. possibly passing shower. clouds dominate, noon hour, 62 n through the 3:00 hour, six a, it is going to be a milder afternoon compared to yesterday. storm scan3 shows we have the clouds around the region, but had batch of rain that moved through overnight, during the early morning hours. you can see that's pushed off shore. we could still see shower pushing on through. and our future weather will confirm that. headed into the afternoon, just light passing shower maybe even some spotty drizzle , and then we will deal with mostly cloudy skies as we led into the overnight hours tonight, by monday tracking a cold front, look what happens as we head into the afternoon and evening, line of showers maybe even couple every embedded thunderstorms moving on through, at 6:00. something we will be keeping our eyes on, very closely as we led into the start of the work week.

where we see couple of showers that moved through during the overnight hours, have pushed well off the coast of this point in time. left behind, with the cloud cover, but we still could see a passing shower later on today, maybe even some spotty drizzle, 5 degrees right now in philadelphia, at least it is a little bit warmer than it was just 24 hours ago, 56 in wilmington, we have 58 degrees in millville. it is 60 degrees currently in atlantic city and there is the 24 hour temperature change, 7 degrees warmer here in center city. 11 degrees warm nerve al town, also 10 degrees warmer in the dover area. so, throughout the day today, planning things out, looking at 62 degrees, by the noon hour, plenty of clouds, clouds will be dominating the entire day, but again, you could still see stray passing shower , clouds will really be the name of the game though. warmfront moves through, that's when it helps to bus the temperatures into the 60s today, then monitoring cold front as we head into your monday, out ahead of the front very warm temperature tours, front will also bring the risk for some showers maybe even thunderstorm, more coming in your full forecast including

your birds forecast, now back to you. >> all right, chelsey, sounds good. thank you. 8:30, breaking overnight, gun violence leaves ten dead 12 year old boy in the hospital. that shooting happened in north philadelphia. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live at temple university hospital this morning, where that 12 year old is now recovering, so, anita, how is that 12 year old doing? >> reporter: january, that 12 year old boy is in stable condition, and is expected to recover after being shot in the leg overnight. but a 16 year old who he was with at the time was pronounced dead at the scene. now, this all unfolded just after midnight when investigators say a gunman opened fire onto a crowd of teens. it happened on north 19th street near west somerset street just off west lehigh avenue. bullets hit the 16 year old twice in the chest and once in the neck while striking 12 year old in the leg. captain george fuchs of philadelphia police says other teens in the group were able to get away unharmed.

out to signal he's going to be okay. >> didn't -- little sore, swollen, but good spirits, want to go home and get in his own bed and relax. get well. >> officer o'hanlon's father, grateful to be taking his son home, grateful the incident wednesday night didn't ends in a different way. >> we're extremely fortunate. the way that the situation unfolded, that the gun jammed, suspect not able to finish him off like he tried to do. >> camden police chief scott thompson says officer o'hanlon was shot in the leg near ninth n camden, after stopping a suspicious van. even though he was shot, the young officer only one year on the force was able to still apprehend his suspect without another officer, or another person, getting hurt. >> just the training he got. he just reacted in a good way. >> the fact of the matter is that the situation was able to be resolved, without anyone

losing their life. even the person that was trying to take ours. >> officer o'hanlon is expected to make a full recovery, there is no time frame of when, but his family says, he will return back to being a police officer, in camden. in the sat center, alicia, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." the former security chief at the delaware prison where a deadly uprising took place earlier this year is now no longer with the department of corrections. this was the scene at the james t vaughn correctional center near smyrna on february . a spokesperson therefore the department says jeffrey critters left the prison system october 20th. there is no word on whether he left voluntarily or was forced out, correctional officer steven floyd was killed in that riot which led to the indictment of 18 inmates. >> the jury will begin deliberations in the corruption trial of senator bob menendez once closing arguments ends tomorrow. federal prosecutors claim the new jersey democrat took

skies dealing with across the entire region but weather watchers showing these lovely pictures to us this morning. temperatures milder, checking in 509 50's, many locations yesterday we were in the 30's, and the 40's. early in the morning and michael in pennsylvania says it is 52 in his backyard, ed in chesterfield, at 56 degrees mid 50's for phil in philadelphia. jenny in cherry hill, says it is 55, in her backyard. pete nerve his neighborhood, lawrenceville, new jersey, says it is right around 57 degrees. now, we take to you a live look. at center city, you can see those clouds, also, lingering around here, in philadelphia. and clouds are going to dominate the poor cast, throughout the day today. still have easterly component to the win, winds coming in in philadelphia at around 6 miles per hour. >> temperatures across the region, weaver 59 degrees in

millville, now to the 60s already down the shore, 62 degrees atlantic city, 62 in wildwood, just complete difference from what we dealt with this time yesterday. fifty-one allentown, 44 degrees, that's the cool spot, mount pocono there. fifty-one in reading, we have the low 50's in lancaster and in the mid and up ear's in delaware, right now around 55 degrees, as we start your day in wilmington. look at the winds. they're coming out of the east so coastal inned advisories, on shore flow for portions, jersey beaches, delaware beaches, well, until the noon hour, had that consistent winds and that casino every helps keep temperatures down yesterday, and suppress, we only made it to 59 degrees, on saturday. but as winds begin to make a little bit after shift out of the south, we make it into the mid 60s today. and then with the southerly flow, we are talking low 70s, as we head into monday. but, of course, all of the warmth is going to come to an end.

by a cold front, cold front moves on through, and then that's going to drop our temperatures down into the 50's, but you know what? that's kind of where we should be anyway for this time of year. tuesday, 55 degrees. meanwhile, for the day today: clouds, as i mention, will dominate the forecast. we could have patchy drizzle here, there, maybe a stray shower, but overall, you're going to be dealing with the cloudy skies, and then up to around 65 degrees. and very mild afternoon, on tap. storm scan3, shows, that the clouds are across the region, we do have maybe a break here or there. maybe some spots tapping into a peak every sunday shine, really clouds will be the name of the game. we've had couple showers that move through through the overnight hours, have since pulled off shore at this point in time. could still see stray sprinkle , maybe patchy drizzle , and a brief passing shower as we head into the afternoon, and you can see that here, on our future weather. headed into the overnight hours, tonight, will be mostly cloudy, also some patchy fog developing, very mild night in store. and then headed into monday,
