town when massacre happened. >> one thing that gives me a sliver of encourage. that bell was surrounded yesterday by her church family that she loved fiercely. >> reporter: as kelly left the church a good samaritan to lives across the street exchanged gunfire, wounding kelly before he drove of. the good samaritan then jumped in a truck, driven by johnny, and then they gave chase. >> said he just shot up the church. he said we have to get him. lets go. that is what we did. >> reporter: investigators say , during the chase kelly called his father saying he had been shot and didn't think he would make it. police caught up with him he was dead, investigators believed from a self inflict gunshot wound. kelly served in the air force but was court marshalled in 2012 on charges he assaulted his wife and child. he received a bad conduct discharge, investigating recovered three weapons, the assault rifle at the scene, and two handguns from the suspect's vehicle. meg oliver for cbs news, soul

very latest anytime at our web site at cbs philly.com. more legal trouble for philly rapper meek mill, he appeared in court over his recent run ins with the law. our joe holden was in the courtroom and joins us live from the criminal justice center with the details, joe. >> reporter: unbelievably this hearing is still going on, robert williams as most people know him as meek mill was brought before this judge on allegations that he had violated his probation. this goes back 10 years with this judge, all stemming to 2008 when he was convicted on gun and distribution charges. well, we were there. we got the tip. we were there as meek mill entered criminal justice center with a 1:30 date with the judge accompanied by his attorney, brian mcmonigal. most of the afternoon brian mcmonigal has been trying to sway the judge that there were a lot of coins dents that meek mill has been trying to right

wrongness his life and stabilize his personal situation, but still, there were positive tests for narcotics numerous times according to evidence presented to the court from probation officers, and there were also a number of calendar descrepancies, the judge thought that meek mill was supposed to be in greece, meanwhile he was in philadelphia she also said she never knew he was in atlanta for supposed drug rehabilitation, and he was down there according to the court without their knowledge, all of these have been ruled, at this time, to be probation violations. right now, is there a sentencing hearing underway inside criminal justice center , what remains to be seen, will this judge order meek mill to be taken into custody. this is a very long, and sorted history with the courts , he has been locked up by this judge before on probation violations, and she even said it herself she gave him quite a bit of latitude leading up to this latest situation, but it was just, it

now surveying the damage. lets show you video from port land, indiana near ohio border twister caused significant damage along its path flipping tractor trailers and damaging homes. storm chasers in central indian air given a firsthand look what it is like to be caught up in a tornado this happened 30 miles north of the indianapolis yesterday. it caused street signs to shake violently and blew most of the roof off a local barn. the same system that pummeled indiana led to tornadoes in ohio, this is video from east of cleveland near pennsylvania state line. you can see homes, build there's reduced to ruble with debris in all directions. there is no word on injuries and the storms there left many , without power. tornadoes in november are fairly rarest specially in the midwest but uncommon weather is becoming increasingly more common, due to the impact of global climate change. >> latest national climate assessment was released by 13 federal agencies and meteorologist lauren casey breaks it down in the einstein
