right about now, right on target. ben franklin bridge beautiful shot here for my new jersey friends traveling westbound into center city looking really, really quiet. we know this will change but more toward, pushing toward the 6:00 o'clock hour. ben franklin bridge big thumbs up looking great. we were talking about 422 eastbound between ben franklin highway and route 100. it will be closing tonight and tomorrow night from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. so for my overnighters just a head up, that will be closed. construction, traffic route one north bound closed at strawberry street until 6:00 a.m. you will to have use an alternate route 206 or 295 is probably going to be your best bet, and more construction on 295 we will get to in the next 10 minutes, jan, back over to you. man shot and killed near his home and police want to know who did it and why. shooting happened just after midnight, on 30th and page street in strawberry mansion, police say, they found the 23 year-old victim laying in the street and he had been shot in

the face. >> we did find numerous spent shell casings from a semiautomatic weapon just feet away from the victim's body, so it appears that the shooter was firing from pretty close proximity. >> police say victims lived just a block away from the crime scene if you have any information about this shooting please contact the police. west deptford police officer is off the job and facing charge these morning for an elaborate scheme. authorities say he was profit ing from the drug arrest that he was making. this is thomas mcwayne a four year veteran of the west deptford police department. officials say a six month investigation revealed that mc wayne tricked people in meeting him with drugs and then showed up and make an arrest. not only that police say he funneled those credit same people from the drug rehab facility that he had a financial stake in. >> here's a guy that is bringing in all of these drug arrests every month and sitting there going my god this guy is phenomenal and then find out it is not what it appears to be. >> mcwayne was suspended from

the police department and turned himself in on tuesday. he is charged with official misconduct, tampering with evidence and computer crimes. well this morning we are learning more about the plane crash that ended the life of the phillies great roy halladay. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live outside citizens bank park where is there a growing memorial, growing, good morning, trang do. >> reporter: good morning, jim and rahel. video of roy halladay flying his plane just moments before the crash surfaced yesterday, that will be a key piece of evidence for ntsb investigators but here in the meantime outside citizens bank park the memorial for doc number 34 continues to grow. showing video obtained by tmz sports shows ace pitcher roy halladay flying his icon a5 very close to the water, off of the florida's gulf coast on tuesday, just before the crash that would take his life. but the video looks alarming, arthur wolk an experienced pilot and aviation attorney say light weight wait aircraft was designed to fly low and land in water.

>> that is a perfect set up for a water landing. >> reporter: what the video doesn't show is impact moments later, now it is job of the ntsb to figure out just what went wrong. >> it looks like an high energy impact but all of the pieces were there. most everything was attached but it was a high energy impact, that is about all i can say at this time report report halladay owns one of the 20 or so a5's in existence , icon featured him prominently in the marketing video. tragically his crash marked third for icon this year, in may, the company's chief test pilot and another employee were killed in the a5 crash. troubling trend for former ntsb chairman mark rosenkirk. >> this is extraordinary to have three accidents in six or seven months. >> reporter: ntsb investigation will take at least a year but wolk says based on the short video and condition of the wreckage it appears an issue may have caused the plane to cart wheel in the water ultimately killing halladay.

>> would i lean toward some mechanical malfunction that he was attempting to address and did not get to pulling the ballistic recovery system the parachute that might have saved his life. >> reporter: the plane did not have a voice recorder but investigators did recover two flight data recorders. those are heading to the ntsb lab for analysis. preliminary report on this crash is expected in about a week. we are live outside citizens bank park i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news", jim and rahel, back to you. >> thanks, trang do. we now state police corporal shot in the line of duty in northampton county helped save his own life. >> corporal seth kelly remains in critical condition. yesterday at alleged gunman daniel claughery was arraigned from his hospital bed. the to 22-year old suspect was shot also during the exchange of gunfire with corporal kelly and another trooper after what began as a routine traffic stop in plainfield township. corporal kelly was shot multiple times.

>> even through all of this he carries a tourniquet on his belt and he was able to have the wherewithal to pull that tourniquet off of his belt and apply that to one of his, one of his wounds. more than likely saving his own life. >> peculiar clary's family was belligerent at their home in the poconos. the other trooper suffered minor injuries and is expected to be okay. and teenager accused of shooting a camden pope lease officer is telling his side of the story. delran man hand faced o'hanlon o'hanlon attended the. he admits running from the police carrying a loaded gun but officer o'hanlon grabbed the gun and in the process, inadvertently shot himself in the leg. authorities say mahand attempted to shoot officer o'hanlon in the face but misfired. just this week we have seen officers put their lives on the line and now is there a new way to protecter them. >> tonight at 11:00

drop in very cold air here that settles in for a couple of days. forecasted lows are harsh on saturday morning. they are already pretty cold tomorrow but forecast low saturday morning are as such we are likely down in the lower teens up in the poconos, northern lehigh valley getting in on that and then across urban corridor, 20 to 25 degrees if you are lucky. so, let's toss in the projected, wind chill values and i'm taking you to tomorrow morning it may feel no better than about freezing anywhere, take a look at how things progress then, sun's up by now and feels more like 26 at 10:00 a.m. now how bad will it get? generally it will not feel much better than 20's throughout the day and once we are pennsylvania eight or 9:00 n in the teens, as well as single digits in the poconos and by the time we get to saturday it would be more in the teens but really cold start to the morning, on saturday. now, this is the deceptive because we have brightest days of the forecast, on the
