certainly happen. seen it happen before but doesn't happen often as the sun comes up the temperature falls. so what you will find here today is modest decline through every passing hour, see the colds air does mean business, at the moment, storm scan pretty quiet. few left over sprinkles here and there, at least appears to be sprinkle else on the radar, things have dried out. left with current temperatures that are into the mid if not upper four's, cold air still catching up right now, this is the warmest it will be for the rest of the day, mount pocono currently at 33 degrees, but, again, with time, these temperatures only decline. so even despite full sunshine through the rest of the day, come 3:00 p.m., you're hell back to the 30's, so really chilly afternoon, and again that regard it is a little atypical here, meisha, but about to get even colder later tonight. i'll let you know how low it drops. >> pull out the winner jackets looking outside right now, before we talk about the hit-and-run briefly trang do

will have more coming up but first i pull your attention into overnight construction still out there. one lane blocked, westbound, also, so just heads up on. that will quick peak on 95 as you push in the southbound direction around the s curve looking very nice on this friday morning, looking very quiet on interstate 95 right now. this is where the hit-and-run is, maple shade new jersey route 73 near route 29567891 lane open in each direction. you are traveling less than posted speeds like i said, our trang do will have more coming up. pa turnpike at ft. washington, accident two, lanes blocked there, less than posted speeds here, see the yellow maps, letting you know even though 4:30 in the morning, going slower. two lanes block there, two the 95 southbound between 168 and i42. >> burlington county new jersey, and trang live live

for us. >> good morning, we just got major update a suspect is in custody right now. working to finds out just where police located that driver. but for now take a look here, this is route 73, just south of the 38, 41 interchange. you can see both the northbound and the southbound lanes just one lane of traffic getting by. now these officers you see out here have been on the scene for hours now. investigates this hit-and-run. police got the call around 12:30 a.m. this morning, arrived here to find man unconscious in the center median of 73. now he's pronounced dead on the scene. maple shade police and fire blocked off southbound and northbound 73 overnight and again still just one lane getting by on each side as investigators continue to gather evidence here, again, there is one suspect in custody. we're working to finds out more about that particular driver. but again, if you are headed out, in this area, you are going to expect some slow- downs. but for now, live live in maple shade, new jersey, trang

do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> quick work by the officers out, there thank you. >> investigators are trying to figure out with a caused house fire in south philadelphia. firefighters quickly put out the blaze in the girard park neighborhood. happened after midnight 1900 block of hamburger street. officials say no one was hurt in the blaze. philadelphia police are investigating after a two year old boy is shot and killed in the city olney section of the happened inside a home on the 200 block of west godfrey avenue yesterday afternoon. detective believe the toddler was in the home in the basement when he was shot in the head. the boy's father returned him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. we spoke to a neighbor who says no child will be able to get their hands on a gun. >> i'm just heart broken. i'm really heart broken about it. please, put the guns down. put them away. sad, baby didn't have a sin on him, two years old. >> authorities did not recover a weapon from the scene. police say several people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, and right now investigators are trying to

pinpoint who was responsible. >> police continue looking for shoot they are morning after man and three teenagers were shot in philadelphia's point breeze section, this happened about 10:30 last night. chopper three over the scene on the 1800 block every south ringgold street. two, 14 year old boys, a 15 year old boy, and 28 year old man were all shot. the 15 and 28 year old are in critical condition. other tweens are stable. >> pennsylvania state trooper shot during a traffic stop earlier this week in critical but stable condition after a second surgery. investigators say daniel clary shot corporal set kelly after fighting with him and another trooper on the side of northampton county, clary, also shot, is facing several charges, including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. his bail has been set at $1 million. the first baptist church in sutherland springs will hold services sunday in a nearby community center. one week after a gunman killed 26 of the church's members. pastor frank pomeroy plans to demolish the old church.

he hopes to turn the site into a memorial, and rebuild on another plot of lands. he says it would be too painful to use the old building as a place of worship his 14 year old daughter among the victims. >> next week fans will have chance to pay their respects to former phillies pitcher roy halladay. a public memorial scheduled for tuesday, at spectrum field in clearwater florida, he was killed tuesday when his plane crashed into the gulf of mexico near tampa. video from "tmz" sports shows halladay flying moments before the crash. the ntsb should have preliminary report in about a week. >> halladay's family released a statement reading in part, our family is heart broken and confirming that roy passed away in a plane crash tuesday afternoon. we will remember him as a success as major league pitcher. we remember him as amazing father, loving husband and loyal friends. we hope that he serves as an example of professionalism, integrity and hard work for all who knew him. >> and a sports radio host in

tonight. looking at the seven day forecast, 47, seems odd, right , talking about such cold that's basically already happened. so your level here, our early morning low, is 47 degrees. that will steadily be dropping throughout the day. make it feel that much worse whether you factor in the winds out of the north and west, not damaging wind but it makes it feel cold. thankfully it eases up on the thermometer as early as sunday , maybe shower around sunday or monday, and we look toward to tuesday, wednesday, and temperature rebounds continues, meisha. >> thank you so much. and very good morning to all of you. happy friday. so we have an accident here, 95 north at 413. in bucks county all lanes blocked. now it has moved out to the shoulder. you can still see the flashing lights, probably won't slow you down too much right now, but still out there with the flashing lights, it would be in the 5:00 hour, 6:00 hour probably moved by then, if not you will start to see slow downs from it, then construction eastbound closed from vine to south street. one lane was block westbound. that has now however cleared out of the way.

then we have been talking about so far this morning this hit-and-run in maple shade new jersey route 73 near route 38. one lane is open in each direction. our trang do will have more that far coming up in a little bit. and also, another accident out there this morning, on the pa turnpike, westbound at ft. washington, that right lane compromised and you are back to traveling around that area at posted speeds, which is nice to see. then, also, we've got construction actually we have road hazards here. something is in the roadway here at pa turnpike eastbound past bensalem. so just use your best discretion around the area. still traveling at posted speeds but probably tapping your brakes just a little bit. plus construction 295, talking about coming up in a little bit, maybe ten minute or so, jim, rahel, back to you. >> trying to make extra money for the holidays? still ahead on "eyewitness news" this morning, the prospect every finding a seasonal job. >> and the answer when " eyewitness news" continues

>> diane, new report holiday hiring appears to be down this year. can you walk us through the details? >> good morning there is report finds major retailers added just 136,700 jobs in october. that's the lowest gain since october 2011. and seasonal hiring in the retail sector has declined, every year, since 2013. the report a tribute the drop in changing consumer shopping habit and the e commerce led by amazon. rahel, jim? >> speaking of amazon, i understands they're making their presence known had holiday foods this holiday season, what's this about? >> that's right. amazon opening pop up stores, so far the pop up shops will open in five whole foods locations in illinois, colorado, michigan, florida, california. the shops will let customers pass amazon devices and learn about the company services,

>> ♪ >> ♪ >> welcome back everyone, we've got a little bit every winds starting to kick up. not going to end up being a dangerous wind of any kind, or damaging winds. but, it is a winds that will be noticed, and felt here throughout the delaware and lehigh valley as we look along main street here, from high atop hotel bethlehem. very quiet beginning to the morning, that said, how much, even though the winds is starting to kick up, actually even have with the northwest winds flow little hint of lake enhanced snow falling across parts of northwestern pa, up-state new york, that's not going to reach us, but you can see, the winds flow, via the radar, because of t now, the cold air is still playing catch up right now. so our temperature readings are actually still relatively i don't want to say comfortable but tolerable certainly. as the day goes on that changes, even as the sun comes up, temperature will be declining, and our forecasted low headed into tomorrow morning, are very, very brutal you're going to be lucky to hit 25 degrees for early morning low in philadelphia.

and actually forecasting even lower than. that will the records is 21. so coming awfully close, but records aside, this is brutal stuff. you can't go by that 47 degrees high on today's reading there. because it is a declining number throughout the afternoon. talking at best low 40's, made to feel no better than the 20 's, when you factor in that winds. so, as we look forward, at least we start to ease up here , sunday up to 50, mid 50's monday and tuesday, mid to upper 50's by wednesday, thursday, so isn't it interesting how 58 looks so warm, by comparison? but, regardless, at least it is looking a lot more seasonable headed into next week, we see couple of showers along the way, too, sunday, monday, little disturbance nearby. but at this point, not specking any kinds of major wet weather chances. just have to bundle up, meisha >> at least we will see the sun today looks like. katie, thank you so much. looking outside right now, been kind of busy morning in the world of travel so far. so we do have accident in bucks county, 95 north at route 413, it is pulled off to

the shoulder now. all lanes were block for a moment. now, like i said, it is pulled all the way off to the shoulder. you can see levels around there are actually looking pretty good. then talking about some overnight construction here, schuylkill eastbound closed from vine to south street. but it does look like crews right now, right on time, are just starting to get this cleared out of your way for you. so i'm confirm as soon as it does, also talking about an accident that's now been moved to the shoulder. pa turnpike ft. washington, like i said, moved to the shoulder, and traveling at posted speeds around there. we've also been talking about this hit-and-run accident, in maple shade, new jersey, route 73, near route 38, one lane is open in each direction. you're traveling a little less than posted speeds, at about 30 miles per hour, so you can see in our censor map all of the yellow let you know moving around there you are traveling at less than posted speeds. more details from trang do coming up in a little bit. also, looking looking at a road hazards, pa turnpike eastbound past bensalem. i would just say use caution around the area, but you are still traveling at posted
