city from palmyra cove nature park, courtesy of our live neighborhood network. it is a frigid start to your saturday morning, indeed. we have freeze warnings in place from philadelphia down into south jersey and delaware , the reason we don't have freeze warnings for remainder of the delaware and lehigh valleys because growing season has come to an end in those locations and with this freeze, growth season will come to an end in south jersey , delaware as well as the philadelphia area temperatures right now in the 20's, and teens out there, 24 in philadelphia. twenty in allentown. twenty-two in trenton. we have 13, that is temperature in mount pocono and 18 in lancaster. forget about those numbers for a minute because this is what it actually feels like, when you factor in that combination of the cold temperatures, and also the winds, right now that wind coming from the northwest at five to 10 miles an hour making it feel more like 14 right here in philadelphia. 5 degrees in mount pocono. around 10 degrees in lancaster

throughout the day it will feel more like january, out there, frigid morning by 9:00 a.m., 31 degrees. still below freezing. thirty-seven as we head in the noon hour and by the afternoon 41 degrees. we did break record low temperatures and we will have more coming up in a bit. back to you. >> chelsea, thank you. we begin with breaking news this morning out of philadelphia's grays ferry neighborhood. a shooting, involving a police officer puts a man in the hospital. police say it happened after a domestic dispute. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live on the scene for us this morning. what is the very latest. >> reporter: jan, good morning police say that man was wielding a knife when officers arrived and as you can see behind me investigators do remain inside the home at this hour. this is on the 1200 block of south 29th street in grays ferry, police responded to the home just before 3:45 this morning for reports of the domestic dispute, officers reportedly shot the man in the chest after seeing him armed

with a knife, as a woman who was inside at the time has no reported injuries. that man meantime is in critical condition at penn presbyterian medical center and we are working to get more details from those investigators inside. again, a police involved shooting. authorities are confirming inside this home in the 1200 block of south 29th street in the grays ferry section of the city. officers say that when they arrived that man had a knife on him but would the man inside was not injured, as is standard procedure, in these police involved shootings the officers involved will be placed on administrative leave live from grays ferry, anita o h for cbs-3 "eyewitness news" keep us up to date. and as you saw there anita was bundled up. that is best advice for everyone this morning. happens. >> reporter: natasha brown for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". in other news today an investigation is underway in the death of the pedestrian in burlington county, police rushed to the pemberton bypass and shady lane in pemberton late last night. victim was pronounced dead at the scene: police say driver did stay on the scene. investigators are trying to pinpoint what sparked a house fire in burlington county, chopper three over the 400 block of grandville road in tabernacle where fire fighters rushed to this scene around 8:15 last night. fire was under control in 90 minutes, two people went to the hospital, for smoke inhalation. well, thinks veterans day a day to honor all of the men and with men whoever wore military uniform and this morning philadelphia mayor jim kenney will address, will attend a veterans day observance. it is at the tomb of the unknown revolutionary war solder in washington square. the national constitution center is offering free admission for anyone who visits today, children can

alabama's senate candidate roy moore to step aside sexual abuse allegations against him are true, four women claim the republican made sexual advance s toward them, when they were teenagers and he was in his 30's. moore spoke out last night saying he never engaged in sexual misconduct, and has no intention of dropping out of the race. the allegations come four weeks before special election to fill attorney general jeff sessions seat. comedian louie ck is coming clean about sexually harassing multiple woman, the stunning admission comes to the heels of the damaging, new york times story in which five women accused on the comedian of inappropriate behavior. nicki batiste has latest from new york. >> reporter: comedian louie ck is admitting sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him by five women are true, in a lengthy statement he wrote the power i had over these women is that they admired me and i we willed that power

back on "eyewitness news" with police in pursuit of the truck thief, officers followed that driver for three hours, as he weaved in and out of traffic and through fields there in the stolen truck. as danielle nottingham reports a helicopter not only caught all of the action but the suspect actually shared the chase live, on social media. >> reporter: driver of the stolen pickup truck led police in the oklahoma city area on to interstates through neighborhoods and in and out of the farm fields leaving officers trailing in the cloud of dust. >> we are just coming up to paterson drive there. >> reporter: news cameras caught the action as truck cut through parking lots, squeezed through gates and crossed double yellow lines, barely missing on coming traffic. >> driving in the wrong lane. >> reporter: for nearly three hours police chased 25 year-old brandon hager. >> i'm in a high speed chase, bro. >> reporter: suspect went on facebook live during part of the chase. >> i love you. >> reporter: police through stop sticks in front of the

low temperatures. here's current standing record for the poconos, reading, and philadelphia, 21 setback in 1961. here are our new record, wilmington 21 degrees that was set this morning. twenty-two in atlantic city. that was actually tied, at times record originally setback in the 1970's and then a new record low also set in trenton this morning, to 22, we still have time to go for these locations. i will keep a close eye on them all the way out into sunrise and that is when we will see the numbers, going up instead of down. right new winds are coming out of the north anywhere from about five to 10 miles per hour, across the entire region so we still do have a little bit of a wind chill factor out there. it feels more like 14 in philadelphia as i told you, feels more like 12 degrees in wilmington, 12 in reading, 10 in lancaster. it feels like 5 degrees in mount pocono.

feeling like single digits up there, 14 in trenton, 13 is what it feels like with that combination of the wind and very cold air, we call that the wind chill. the average day of our first freeze is right around november 8th so believe it or not even though i have heard people saying it ties early for cold we are right on schedule, for this arctic blast of air, that has moved in, to the region. so for the rest of today we will warm up, but not by much, it is going to be feeling like january out there, the noon hour we are still in the 30's, and a mixture of sun and cloud 37 degrees. we will toss out right around 41. it will be feeling like winter no doubt bit and it will feel like winter too if you are heading up to state college for the football game, a kick off temperature right around 32 degrees. really important that you make sure you layer up, high pressure remains in control through the weekend, brief disturbance will swing through sunday night and shower around and feeling like january today it will be warmer as we head

sees a lot of tired drivers. >> the driving of the six or seven hours and they get tired and you see them going all over the road. >> reporter: british speech scientists say a driver's voice cannery veal just how tired they are behind the wheel. >> yes. >> they have developed an audio method to extract information that reveals fatigue. >> you can see, these very subtle change that is occur even within a day, even within one shift, of work. >> reporter: researchers analyzed speech of the driver during his shift every two hours and they found changes in the pitch, rhythm, quality of the workers voice, showed his level of the tiredness. >> what we are trying to do is build a model of the person's voice by making multiple recordings over a period of time. >> reporter: drowsy drivers cost thousands of fatal crashes each year. >> worse thing that can happen at the control and they say you are sounding very tired we suggest you you just stop and have a break, before you carry on. >> reporter: scientists say spotting fatigue could save lives and they hope to create

after two of their suvs collided in kensington. officers were responding to a shooting when the crash happened at d street and indiana avenue knew yesterday morning. one suv hit a house, other hit a utility pole, surveillance video shows the seconds before the impact. police say a two-year old boy who died from the gunshot wound in olney pulled trigger himself, boy has been identified as ibin kareem lawson. police say he shot himself in the head after finding the loaded gun in the closet. the gun was later found in the trash can outside of the home, authorities believe it was there because it was reported stolen two years ago. woman is fighting for her life after she was stabbed, burned inside this west philadelphia home. police say the woman's nephew attack her friday morning in the home on the 1300 block of 53rd street, the woman is now in extremely critical condition, police did arrest that nephew.

a philadelphia home owner is not happy with the city over garbage collection. followers, on social media investigators say lead sent the teen lewd messages and drive nine hours to the teen's home in wayne at lee five times. last month a suspect reportly knock on the front door asking , to meet the teen, and then he allegedly came back at least three times on tuesday. >> it is very important for every family to go over, internet safety to know the signs of somebody trying to visit anybody, is extremely dangerous. >> lead is being held at delaware county jail while investigators wait for a search warrant to check out his car. he is due back in court next week. legalized recreational marijuana could soon becoming to new jersey, governor elect phil murphy campaigned on legalizing the drug for recreational use and he hopes to have a bill on his desk in the first 100 days. some say it will raise money and new tax revenue and cut down on drug arrests, others say it is a gateway drug that will do more harm then good. >> war on cannabis and war on

twenty-five down the shore in wildwood. it is right now around 22 degrees in, atlantic city, and i'll zoom out though so i can show you like i said not in it alone, there are other people dealing with 20's, and teens, and as they are waking up early this saturday morning , it is 23 degrees in columbus, where we're in the 20's in new england and 29 degrees all the way down into raleigh-durham. as far as record low temperatures we have not broke record low yet this morning in philadelphia, reading or mount pocono, we're 3 degrees shy at this hour in mount pocono, but we have either broken or tied the record, for these three cities in wilmington, 21 degrees, new record low temperature in atlantic city. we actually tied the record setback in the 1970's with 22 degrees and in trenton a new railroaded low temperature of 22 degrees. winds from five to 10 miles per hour, so nothing like what we dealt with yesterday

afternoon. but with the wind in combination with the cold air we are still talking about a wind chill factor out there so it feels more like the teens in many locations. go from elect teens in philadelphia at 14, feels more like 14 in trenton, 13 in allentown and still feels like single digits out there in the poconos a lot of people saying it is too soon for christmas music and also too soon for cold weather, well, the cold weather is right on schedule, the average day of our first freeze is right around in eighth, so we truly are right on track with this cold weather that has moved in. frigid morning in store by 9:00 we are still below freezing here, in philadelphia , 37 by lunchtime as we head in the afternoon we will top out with temperatures in the lower 40's. it is a cold one heading up to state college as well, bundle up, layer up, because kick off temperature is going to be right around 32 degrees, even though we will see good amount of sunshine courtesy of the high pressure in control through weekend.

stahl tells us about tonight today's einstein health care science center. >> reporter: report hasan looks like a picture of health now but two years ago doctors in london says he was close to dying. syrian refugee could barely walk, eat because most of the skin on his body was blistered and infected. >> the prognosis was very, very, very important. >> reporter: hasan was born with the genetic disease called known as butterfly disease because it causes the skin to be fragile and tear like butterfly wings. antibiotic, bandages and skin graft from his father didn't help. he was saved by stem cell scientistness europe who attempt aid break through procedure growing genetically modified healthy skin cells in the lab and turning them into sheets of the skin. doctors then grafted replacement skin on to hasan's body in to a series of transplant operations. >> major improvement after the the first transplantation,
