originally setback in 1973, 23 in millville, we have 21 allentown. 22 degrees in trenton. that is a new record low temperature, for this morning. it feels more like the teens, though when you factor in that combination of the wind. we don't have a whole lot but we have wind coming from the north/northwest from five to 10 miles an hour so that is making it feel more like 13 in philadelphia, 15 in allentown, 13 in mount pocono and feels more like 10 degrees in reading. here's what you can expect for today, a freeze warning in place from philadelphia, down into south jersey as well as the entire state of delaware, this is through through through through the 10:00 o'clock hour. then we are on track for a cold avenue highs only in the 40's and when i say 40's i mean right around 40 degrees, we are not going to be quite as windy as yesterday, we will see sunshine as well, i'll let you know when temperatures maryland rate coming up in my full forecast, but for now back to you. >> hopefully soon, thanks,

our breaking news now a shooting involving a philadelphia police officer puts a man in the hospital. police say that shooting happened after a domestic dispute, in grays ferry. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live with the very latest, anita, good morning. >> good morning, jan, police say when office's arrived that man had been menacing a woman inside with a knife and menacing the officers. as you can see behind me investigators do remain on the scene here inside that home. this is on the 1200 block of south 29th street in grays ferry. officers responded around 3:45 to reports of the domestic dispute, again when officers arrived they found that man, wielding a knife, menacing a woman inside that is when one of the officers fired a shot, hitting that man in the chest. that man is in critical condition at penn presbyterian medical center but woman who was inside the home at the time has in reported injuries.

pemberton late last night, victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police say driver stayed at the scene. investigators are trying pinpoint what sparked a house fire in burlington county, chopper three over 400 block of grandville road in tabernacle where fire fighters rush to the scene right around 8:15 last night. fire was under control in just about 90 minutes, two people went to the hospital for smoke inhalation. well, this is veterans day a day to honor all of the men and women who whoever wore a military uniform and philadelphia mayor jim kenney will attend a veterans day observance at tomb of the unknown revolutionary war sold inner washington square. meantime national constitution center is offering free admission for everyone who visits today, children can write thank you vet post card and take part in arts and crafts in addition to the ceremony and uso concert veterans will share their stories about their service.

it just looks cold out there this morning. 23 degrees, that is the current temperature, we have been dealing with winds out of the north from five to 10 miles an hour so that is still create ago this wind chill factor. it feels more like 13 degrees even in center city. temperatures right new they are in the teens and 20's, we have 21 degrees in allentown. thirteen in mount pocono. nineteen in reading. that is 1 degree shy from the record low temperature. when it gets this cold you might as well break the record 21 in wilmington. new railroaded low set there. twenty-two in dover. twenty-three millville. twenty-three down the shore, in wildwood, and speaking of record low temperatures we did either break or tie three record lows. wilmington 21 degrees. twenty-two atlantic city. that ties record originally setback in 1973 and new railroaded low set in trenton right around 22 degrees. we are just a few degrees shy

of these record. we will see if we make it heading in the next 30 minutes or so but as i mentioned if we are this cold we might as well go ahead and break these record. here is our wind from the north/northwest anywhere from five to 10 miles an hour. that is still creating that wind chill factor out there so it does feel a little bit colder then what we are seeing on the thermometer, feels more like 13 in philadelphia, 11 in wilmington. seventeen millville, 13 in atlantic city and it feels more like the teens and we are all waking up this morning. i have heard people say it is too early for the cold. this is just so unusual, actually believe it or not we are right on schedule as far as this cold air is concerned because our average day of our first freeze is right around november 8th and we're right there, on track, with this cold air moving on through. so throughout the day today it will feel like winter, so just be prepared, by noon time it will be cold, mixture of sun, cloud, 36 degrees, as we head in the afternoon not as windy

of south 29th street in grays ferry, investigators responded here just before 3:45 this morning for reports of the domestic dispute, when officers arrived, they say they found a man inside menacing a woman with a knife and he also reportedly menaced officers and that is when one of the police officers fired a shot, that man was hit in the chest and he is now in reportedly critical condition at penn presbyterian medical center, now as it is standard procedure in investigations like this the officer involved in the shooting will be placed on administrative leave but just to recap when office's arrived here just before 3:45 this morning they found a man reportly with a knife threatening a woman inside. luckily we know that woman has no reported injuries, of course we will stay up to dayton this investigation as detectives inside remain on the scene but for now live from grays ferry i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". new this morning police

are investigating a deadly shooting in west philadelphia. a man was found shot at north fifth second street and lancaster avenue in park side. he was rushed to presbyterian hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. so far no arrests. police are looking for surveillance video that could help in their investigation. four philadelphia police officers are on the mend today after two suv's delighted in kensington. officers were rushed were responding to a shooting rather when that crash happened at d street and indiana avenue knew yesterday morning. one suv hit a house, the other hit a utility pole there. surveillance video shows the seconds before the impact. police new say a two-year old boy from a gunshot wound from olney this week pulled the trigger himself. boy has been identified as i bin kareem lawson. police say he shot himself in the head after finding a loaded gun in his closet. that was later found in the trash can outside his home.

the city with that video and they told us that they are looking into the matter. reporting from center city, alexandria hoff for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a social media stalker is arrested on the main line, 30 year-old michael lead of michigan is facing charges. he ace accused of stalking and harassing a wayne teen who has hundreds of thousands of followers on soaks media. investigators say lead sent that teen lewd messages and drove nine hours from michigan to the teen's home in wayne at least five times. last in suspect reportedly income on the front door asking to meet the teen and then he allegedly came back three times on tuesday. >> very important for every family to go over internet safety to necessity signs of somebody trying to visit, anybody is extremely dangerous >> so lieb is being held at delaware county jail while investigators await a search warrant to check out his car and due back in court next week.

says it is 18 degrees in his backyard. so a chilly start indeed. we will show you a live look now at center city philadelphia where the sunnies up, but the temperatures aren't quite responding. they will very soon though, it is 23 degrees, right now in philadelphia, we have winds coming in out of the north at nine, so that is making it feel even colder then what we are seeing on the thermometer and feels more like 13 degrees when you factor in that wind chill. temperatures right now across the region they are in the teens, they are in the 20's out there, 21 degrees in allentown. we have 13 degrees in mount pocono. nineteen in reading, that is 1 degree shy from the record low temperature and it feel like when it gets this cold we might as well break that record. 18 degrees in lancaster. we are in the 20's, in millville, 23 degrees, 26 degrees, currently down the shore in wildwood. so we have either broken or tied three record this morning , not mount pocono, reading or philadelphia but

all very close and i'm still watching these three here. but in wilmington a new record low temperature set here at 21 . we have tied the record of 22 originally setback in 1973 in atlantic city. and in trenton we set a new record low temperature of 22 degrees as well, this morning. here's a look at those winds, nothing compared to what we dealt with throughout the day yesterday and that is going to be the case all the way through the afternoon. the winds are not going to be that bad. we have winds from five to 10 miles an hour coming out of the north/northwest so that is making it feel colder then what we are seeing on the thermometer as i mentioned. feels more like 15 in allentown, 10 in reading, 11 in wilmington and 17 degrees in dover. so across the entire region, it is feeling more like the teens, now i have had a lot of people say to me this cold weather is coming too soon? actually, it is right on schedule. when you think bit. because our average day of our first freeze is usually right around november 8th. so we are just a few days past that we are right on schedule

with this cold air that has moved in as we kick off the weekend. so, throughout the day, it will feel like winter out there frigid morning. 31 degrees by the 9:00 o'clock hour. thirty-seven by the noon hour. we will top out only in the lower 40's today, it is indeed , going to be feeling like winter with a mixture of sun and cloud. now, if you are heading up to state college for the penn state football game, 32 degrees at kick off, bright , sunny, but it will be cold, just make sure that you layer up, it is truly going to feel like football weather out there courtesy of this canadian area of high pressure that moves off shore, a little disturbance will swing through sunday night into monday bringing us a chance for a shower but in the meantime it is feeling like january today, as we head into tomorrow, it will feel, just a little bit warmer out there. but for today we're talking upper 30's, mid 30's as we head north and west of philadelphia, the rest of the area in the 40's, 41 philly. forty millville. 42 degrees for that high temperature in atlantic city. overnight it will not be quite as cold as it was this this
