leaders meantime in one camden county town honored u.s. service members on this veterans day by opening a brand new park. "eyewitness news" at belmar's veterans memorial park dedication ceremony. the park runs along timber creek includes two water features, benches and a ga scene would public space was funded by county grant and private donations it's dedicated to the memory of all bellmawr residents who served our country. now in washington president pence led a somber observance of veterans day. the vice-president laid a wreath on the tomb of the unknown soldier this morning at arlington national cemetery. later he spoke at a cemetery about the trump administration sports of veterans and thanked the men and women for their service. >> we're grateful for your service. we're grateful for your sacrifice, and i'll make i was promise. just as you fought for us, we will always fight for you.

>> pence went ton say the white house is working on providing veterans with better access to medical care especially urgent mental health care services. he also urged all americans to stop and thank a veteran today. one person is dead, several are injured after a fiery tractor trailer crash on route 2 sorry two in chester county. take at a look at eyewitness video here of that scene earli earlier. the crash happened just after 12:30 this afternoon in the northbound lanes near south matlack street in west goshen. police say the tract trailer collided with at least one car. then overturned and burst into flames. as you can see from this traffic camera footage tonight, all lanes of route 202 still remain closed even at this hour between high street and west town road. as police continue to investigate. now a man who allegedly lunched at an officer with a knife remains in critical condition tonight after he was shot by police. the shooting happened while

police were responding to an alleged domestic dispute this morning at a home on the 1200 block of south 29th street in grays ferry. the 57-year-old man was allegedly threatening a woman with 95. and then lunched at an officer. authorities say the officer fired one shot striking the man in the chest. another shooting overnight leaves a 38-year-old man dead in west philly. this happen shortly after 2:00 a.m. on the 5200 block of lancaster avenue. police found the victim in the driver's seat of a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. he was he pro mounted dead a short time later at penn presbyterian hospital. no arrests so far police are continuing the investigation into this case. a second suspect meantime accused of in brutal attack of a university of pennsylvania graduate student has turned self in to police. authorities say this video shows the suspects inside a convenience store sunday night after the assault. 18-year-old due want dantzler and 20-year-old lance ryan are

wynnefield but there's reason for that. vet reasons making their communities better not looking for recognition. >> it's bittersweet to know he's done this because he never really made a big deal out of a lot things when he finds out things after the fact like wow, he really made a difference. >> reporter: if you visit the monument look at the names of those who died. the flag for which they fought and lansdowne at andy's walkway to remember those vet who's never stopped serving. in win feel, cleve bryan, cbs3 "eyewitness news". well, the scene of a deadly church shooting in texas has been turned into a memorial. first baptist church in sutherland springs will open its doors to the public tomorrow a week after the attack. officials say visitors will be able to see a memorial that pays tribute to all of the victims. the church says the memorial was put up by volunteers as part of a healing process for that community. the sunday service will be hell at a community center right next door. now as the first funerals for

victim of the church massacre begins today, one man who lives a few towns away has taken on very special mission. miguel is carrying a 150-pound cross to the site of the deadly attack. he's walking the whole way about 40 miles on foot from a nearby town. his shoulders bruised, his feet hurt. he says but he keeps going in honor of the victims. >> my stars they represent my brothers and sisters that we have loft. >> all along the way people have offed him food, water and lots of encouragement. he says he wants people in sutherland springs to know they do not grieve alone. now back here at home thousand of runners and walkers channeled their inner stallion this morning all for the rocky balboa run in philadelphia. it's upon us. and on average we see our first snow a tenth of an inch or more in philadelphia on december 10th so it's looming. it's out there. earliest ever fir snowfall october 10th, that's little too early that was back in 1979. but, yes, things are quiet right now as we get live look at center city philadelphia. but definitely cold we're 1 degree above that freezing mark. 33 degrees southeasterly winds just 5 miles an hour. but pushing down that feels like temperature now down to 29 degrees. as we get live look at rehoboth beach. yeah, no one out strolling the boards because it's a little cold for that. you need all the layers if you're out bound tonight. temperatures have fallen back into the 20s most of our reporting sights. we're at 22 degrees in mount pocono. 26 in allentown. 28 degrees in atlantic city. 29 in wilmington went still have a lot more cooling to go. we do have this cold air mass in place all across the northeast and mid atlantic. no one escaping this taste of winter. 33 in the big apple. 29 in richmond.

34 degrees right now in d.c. and overnight tonight, temperatures in the city falling back to 30 degrees. 20s elsewhere partly cloudy. at least we'll have that calm to light win not too much of a wind chill impact. storm scan3 showing us quiet conditions right now high level cloud cover moving in dense at times. we will have to dodge a few clouds if you want to check out that rocket launch taking off from the nasa flight facility in wallops island. it was scheduled for this morning but they had an aircraft flying into the restricted air spas so they cancel the launch right before. launch time reset for 7:14 tomorrow morning. you can potentially see the rocket's names as it lifts off towards the international space station and smoke trail the visibility zone all this orange shaded area that will be within about one to three minutes after that launch time but there will be some clouds around early tomorrow morning. but still you might want to check it out for a cool view there. but as we head into tomorrow, 4. so it's better than 40 but we should be up at 58 degrees as far as averages are concern.

the nittany lions go into the half with a 14-six lead. we fast forward into the fourth quarter. mcsorely going to the air again. this time he finds mike for the 16-yard touchdown on the day. mcsorely was responsible for 258 total yards and broke penn state's record for all-time touchdowns he now has 68. penn state with a convincing 35-sick win. the eagles had a kicker problem when caleb sturgess went down in week one. enter jake elliot since he took over he's made 17 of 20 field goal and franchise record 61 game winner against the giants. sturgess is eligible to come off the disable list this week. eagles said there's no reason to make a change the decision on what to do about sturgis looms. rumor mill meeting for marlins slugger jianne carlos san ton. he hit 59 homeruns this season now the marlins have new owners looking to slash payroll. four teams said to be in the hunt to trade for him. phillies are reported one o those teams.
