plus, new this morning, police investigate a deadly accident, in burlington county , where the one car crash left the driver dead, overnight. and another chilly start to our day, not as cold as it was yesterday at this time but still well below average for the end of the weekend. today is sunday november 12th, good morning everyone i'm jan carabao. lets get over to that all important eyewitness weather forecast with meteorologist, chelsea ingram. good sunday morning, chelsea cold but it will get better. >> i like what you said, not quite, quite as cold, still chilly though this morning. we are dealing with temperatures in the 30's and also still in the 20's and lots of cloud cover as we are starting out this sunday. lets show you these numbers in the delaware and lehigh valleys. we have 35 in philadelphia upper 20's in allentown. mid 20's mount pocono. twenty-seven in reading. down the shore we are in the low 30's. thirty-two atlantic city. we are in the 30's at this hour in delaware.

now we are, warmer compared to this time yesterday morning just 24 hours ago. we are five to 10 degrees warmer. 10 degrees warmer in philadelphia and 6 degrees warmer in the millville area. here's what you can expect today. it is not as cold as it was yesterday, generally high temperatures are going to be from five to about 10 degrees warmer heading in the afternoon, we will have morning cloud and that will lead to some sunshine as those cloud thin out and with the light variable wind, wind chillies not a problem throughout the day-to-day. milder afternoon in store down the shore with temperatures in the lower 50's. forty-one in the poconos. forty-eight here in philadelphia we have a slow warming trend taking place throughout the week. we will show thaw in the full forecast, back to you. chelsea, thank you. breaking news, one person is dead and two others are hurt after a shooting outside of a philadelphia nightclub. as "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh explains a security guard was able to stop the shooter. >> reporter: good morning, jan

we have learned an armed security guard is responsible for shooting that suspect gunman in the leg, and this all unfolded around 4:00 this morning outside of the a lounge on the 4200 block of mccallister street in feltonville. at this hour homicide detectives remain on the scene , going in and out of this club gathering evidence, it reportly started with than a argument and escalated in to this deadly violence. authorities say the victim was shot in the face and then chest and then was pronounced dead at temple university hospital, shortly thereafter. this is not first time violence has erupted outside of this club back in december we reported four people were injured after being shot outside, here. again, at this hour what we know one, 39 year-old man killed in this shooting after being shot in the face and chest, while a 24 year-old was injured. the 27 year-old shooting suspect was shot by an armed security guard and remains in stable condition at temple university hospital in police custody. again homicide detectives remain on the scene collecting

evidence, we will bring you very latest just as soon as we have those details but for new reporting from feltonville, i'm anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". in other news a crash lead one person dead in burlington county, crash happened along beverly rancocas road overnight, in willingboro, the driver crashed into a tree there right now, it is not clear what may have led up to this deadly crash. we are waiting to learn more information about that person 's identity. route 202 in chester county is back opened today after a fiery crash that left one person dead there. this is eyewitness video of the scene, the crash happened around 12:30 yesterday afternoon in the north bound lanes, near south matlock street, in west goshen. the crash involved nine vehicles, one of them was a tractor trailer, it flipped over and caught on fire and at lee one person was killed, now all lanes of route 202, between high street and west town road were closed late into the night. officers say they are in the

process of notifying the victim's family. two people are in jail this morning accused in the brutal attack of the university of pennsylvania graduate student. police say this surveillance video shows men right after the attack and investigators say 18 year-old due january damsler turned himself in friday night. twenty year-old lance ryan had been already arrested. the attack happened on the 400 block of south forty-third street last sunday. police say the hit that student with the brick and robbed him and left with the fractured skull. president trump is in the philippines this morning, that is his latest stop on his tour of asia. he landed in the philippines capitol of manilla just a few hours ago. he left vietnamese capitol of hanoi overnight. the president will meet with philippines president rod reag owe decutter he i tomorrow. questions about russian meddling election are following president trump. correspondent stephen portnoy is traveling with the president.

in allentown. we are still in the 20's in mount pocono, and 24 degrees, lieutenant of spots starting to check in the 30's like millville at 36 degrees, we have 32 for atlantic city. in delaware we are also in the 30's. thirty-three in wilmington. we have 31 in dover. we are in the 20's at lancaster. twenty-eight, reading at this hour right around 29 degrees. everyone though is warmer compared to just 24 hours ago. and so we are making some headway here, and we will see a slow warming trend, it is not only as afternoon that especially as we head in the upcoming week and generally this afternoon it will be five to 10 degrees warmer compared to what we dealt with yesterday. winds light, variable in many locations pep order cross the map, on the calm side, so, as i mentioned before wind chillies not a issue as we head throughout your sunday. by noon time hour we will be in the mid 40's, not as cold. we will see cloud breaking up for some sunshine as well.

by 3:00 o'clock we are in the upper 40's with some sunshine out there. that is improvement from yesterday and improvement, across the entire map, 47 in allentown for that forecast high temperature we will be in the lower 40's in the poconos, down short in the lower 50's. forty-nine millville. forty-eight in wilmington for that high temperature today and right around 49 in dover. here's that slow warm up i was telling you about, by tuesday, we're at 53 degrees. wednesday in the mid 50's and then up in the upper 50's as we head into thursday. yes, indeed, nearing that 60- degree bench mark. our live neighborhood network shows kutztown and plenty of cloud cover across the area here with temperatures still on the chilly side of things, still got to bundle up temperatures in the mid 20's and you can see included cover here on storm scan three these included will break up for sunshine as we head in the afternoon. i'll draw your attention to the system out to the west, that will pass on through the region overnight and testimony morning as a very weak system,

it will bring the chance for a shower around. let me show you what i'm talking about on future weather. notice cloud spinning out in the afternoon and evening. we will see cloud increase once again in the overnight hours again tonight and by tomorrow morning we will risk a shower around, some models are not printing out much in the way of precipitation at all but there is risk for areas north of i78 perhaps a brief rain/snow mix or snow shower accumulation wise not amounting to anything but it does look like models are showing temperatures will be cold enough, up that way but most areas are not going to pick up very much in the way of precipitation at all. here's your forecast for today 48, not as cold with sunshine as we head into tonight we have overnight lows dipping in the mid 30's, mostly cloudy sky, shower possible and then shower possible into monday morning. monday afternoon a high of 50 degrees, sun and cloud by tuesday, high pressure in control through middle of the week and next chance for substantial rain head our way

hopes to award them the rights to the play, students were exited to learn they were one of the four schools nationwide selected to parities faith in the pilot program. >> it is crazy. we didn't expect to hear back. once we originally did we thought there would be an issue that would prevent us from being one of the schools. it is super exciting. it was a pipe dream as freshman and now reality. >> reporter: with that came hard work like building the set. >> frame behind the brick took three days of a weekend, cutting of the brick pieces themselves and laying of the brick pieces took a good month >> reporter: with the show just days away they are ready. >> we go by that mantra, they will respond like mature adults. this she especially they feel such ownership of, they feel so much pride doing it thaw can tell there is a different air about them, not that they don't want every show to be great but this show they want to blow them away.

we are in the 30's at this hour in delaware. pretty much every where actually is warmer compared to this time yesterday, we are 4 degrees warmer in allentown big difference in philadelphia where we are 10 degrees warmer and let me tell you i can feel it out here on the sky deck. yesterday was frigid, as we started out the day but today is not going to be as cold, high temperatures as we head in the afternoon about five to 10 degrees warmer then yesterday afternoon. we have morning cloud, that will be following by thinning out and sunshine and light, variable wind and we will not be dealing with much in the way of the wind chill factor today. by noon her we are in the mid 40's. 48 degrees by 3:00 and we will see slow warming trend as we head in the upcoming week, we will have details in the full forecast for now, sending it back to you. chelsea, back to you. 8:30. we will continue to follow breaking news this morning one person is dead and two others are hurt after an overnight shooting near a philadelphia nightclub. now this all happened outside

a lounge and social club in feltonville, police say two men started arguing there when one of them fired at the other , hitting that person, he was pronounced dead at the scene, at the hospital rather, and a security guard fired at the shooter hitting him in the leg, he is now hospitalized in police custody, a bystander was also shot in the leg. at lee, five people are hospitalized after a brawl at an ohio nightclub, this happened overnight, in fairfield outside of cincinnati. now local media reports that at lee one person was shot and at lee four others were stabbed, one of the stabbing victims had to be flown to the hospital there, fairfield police have not released the conditions of those victims but none of them have died. it is not clear what led up to this brawl but no word on any arrests. more trouble for republican senate candidate roy moore, a former collogue says it was quote common knowledge, that he dated high school girls back in the 80's, a former prosecutor who worked with moore in the early 80's made those remarks to cnn.

took it from there andy not only took care of this but he did it all throughout wynfield >> reporter: andy planted grass, pruned trees and at his own expense added a cement walkway to the monument. >> i said andy why are you doing that? i said it is for veterans, it was for disabled, wanting to roll up in the wheelchair. this is why i did that. >> reporter: for all his work andy won't get to see monument 's latest touch this past june at age of 40, any brutees died of the rare form of the colon cancer. >> just a void, we missed it, we wish he was here. >> reporter: this veterans day the residents association gave andy mom gladys flowers and when fire department rang belfor 42 vets on the monument they added a ring for andy. >> bells tolling. >> reporter: councilman jones pointed out today we may not know it but we walk among veterans every day, we may not notice their contributions like andy brutes trimming trees throughout wynfield but there is a reason for that veterans making their

, you can see now all of these runners and walkers getting ready to start at the starting line at this run gets ready to kick off, in just a few minutes, we just heard fromly scott, alex scott's mother of course, alex lemonade stand is in honor of her daughter who who her fight to cancer and there are so many other families here, who have their shirts on in honor of the people who they are walking for and all of this is just shows money to raise cure for childhood cancer but so many people here, so many families just sharing their emotional stories with us this morning and one of them in particular is lisa wood, she is also from lower merion where the scott family is from , she explained, why she's here this morning and who she's walking for. >> someone going through something like that the whole community feels it. we did this run last year, and , it is emotional. there is tears. you can emphasize with anyone

unique view of the power plant in montgomery county, for decade, it has been a landmark for sorts, many people seen towers and steam, but very few, have actually been inside those gates. this past week "eyewitness news" anchor jessica dean gave us an exclusive behind the scenes look at a place so many of us recognize, but may not understand. >> you probably never knew, thousands of gallons of local water, poured down the sides of these cooling towers at the

limerick nuclear power plant. >> we got 18,000 gallons a minute from the schuylkill river or perkiomen creek and that is make up water for the steam. >> reporter: rick, site's vice-president took us where no cameras have been before. we walk up nine flights of stairs, to the race way of one of the plant's cooling towers. >> we make electricity for over 2 million pennsylvanians and businesses here. >> reporter: nuclear power begins with the splitting of uranium adams a process calling fusion, which creates heat which is pass todd water to produce steam. >> the steam rotates turbine generating electricity in the generator. that steamies condensed and sent right back to the reactor >> it complete that and just as the rain suggest. cool down steam, nuclear power is considered a source of clean energy because it does not emit any carbons. >> it is different from solar or wind in that we have the two year supply of fuel here at limerick. we operate constant power over

94 percent availability all the time, we're always on for that two year period. >> reporter: pennsylvania's nuclear plants make up about 93 percent of the state's clean energy, but the plant's operator excel on does in the know how much longer its three plants in pennsylvania including limerick will continue to operate due to high costs and lack of financial support from the government. their hope is lawmakers at federal and local level, will do more to support nuclear energy. >> the loss of limerick, or the rest of the pennsylvania nuclear fleet would be, devastating, for the local economies. >> reporter: primary concern was nuclear power is the potential for exposure to radiation. what would you say if someone is concerned about the radiation here at this plant. >> well, our typical worker gets less radiation in a year then two dental x-rays you might get at a dentist. so radiation is a biproduct of nuclear energy but very manageable, controlled and we have safe controls associated with that with workers and the

thirty-one in dover. twenty's in the allentown. mid 20's in the poconos. twenty-eight in reading. twenty-eight in land car ter. down the shore, look at this we are up to 40 degrees in wildwood, it is still freezing though in atlantic city. everybody though is warmer compared to 24 hours ago. so we are 10 degrees warmer in philadelphia, 8 degrees warmer in wilmington we are 6 degrees warmer in the dover area so we are making some improvement. and as we head in the afternoon, high temperatures are going to be about five to even 10 degrees warmer compared to what we saw yesterday, by the noon time hour 44 degrees, in the quite as cold, and then some sunshine by 3:00 with a high temperature around 48 here in philadelphia. and across the rest of the region we are also forecasting highs in the 40's, and 50's down the shore, and 51 in atlantic city, 52 for that high in wildwood. forty-seven in trenton. forty-seven in allentown. right around 41 degrees today in the poconos. we both see a slow warming trend as we head in the upcoming week, 53 degrees by tuesday, we are in the mid 50

's as we head into wednesday and then by thursday you see it, we will be nearing that 60-. we have plenty of cloud cover though right now across the mid-atlantic, as i mentioned, we will see those included thinning out in the afternoon, and then tracking a system, out to the west. she said, that will be passing through overnight into tomorrow morning, weak system and bring a shower to the region. let me show you what i'm talking about here. notice cloud thinning out in the afternoon. we will see good amount of sunshine by three or 4:00 and then sunsetting early early. cloud filled back in as we check in the overnight hours and then system swings on through, very weak system, not a ton of moisture but we still could see a shower in areas of north of i78, lehigh valley and poconos we could see a brief rain/snow mix and brief snow shower and accumulation wise it will not amount to anything and then we will dry out lead nothing tour monday afternoon. here's your forecast for today high temperature of 48 degrees , not quite as cold
