good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs headquarters in new york. i'm anne-marie green. this morning there's a search after a powerful earthquake hit the area last night. more than 300 people in both countries were killed. more than 2,800 people were in injured and most of the injuries were in iran. >> good morning, man re. the 7.3 magnitude quake was centered along the northern border between iran and iraq. magnitude 7 quakes are capable of widespread heavy damage. the worst damage seems to be in the mountains of western iran. the quake was so powerful it was felt as far west as the mediterranean coast. most of the victims are in a town ten miles from the border where the main hospital was

severely damaged. some villages lost power and communications. now rescue efforts are being hampered by landslides. there is extensive damage on the iraqi side of the border as well. one health minister described the situation as very critical. now, following the main quake, at least 50 aftershocks have been reported. iraq sits on a fault line and is prone to frequent earthquakes. m anne-marie. >> thank you so much. there was another earthquake near the capital of san jose. power lines were locked down and rock slides are blocking some roads but no major structural damage. minutes later a powerful aftershock shook the area. this morning president trump is in the philippines, the last

stop of his five-nation tour. he wrapped up his meeting including the president of the philippines who's overseen a very controversial bloody war on drugs. steven portnoy reports from manila. >> reporter: protesters gathered in the streets burning signs of president trump while at times clashing with the police using water cannons. they met with world leaders at the southeastern asian summit. among the meetings, a controversial one with the host rodrigo duterte. they say he's behind the kill g killings of thousands of drug dealers and killers and he has praised his strategy. >> he said something about you

ronald reagan," the nimitz, and "theodore roosevelt" will continue until tomorrow. it's the biggest. roy moore refuses to step down. campaigning yesterday roy moore said the story in the "washington post" was a desperate attempt to stop his campaign. on saturday moore said the allegations are not true. >> in a desperate attempt to stop the political campaign of the united states senate, these attacks are completely false and untrue. >> moore calls the allegations fake news and says he plans to sue. the post story quoted four women by name and numerous other sources. hundreds marched in hollywood against sexual harassment. >> what do we want?

justi justice! >> me too survivors joined the march. some had t-shirts with "me too" shirts. some said no more sexual abuse and rape is not a joke. the texas church where 26 people were gunned down opened for the first time since the massacre. it's now memorials who honor the victims. meanwhile hundreds attended an emotional service one week after the massacre. weijia jiang reports. >> reporter: crowds made their way. a week earlier the town saw the worst massacre. 26 men, women, and children were gunned down. they were remembered in a service in a tent. >> i know everyone who gave their life that day. some of them were my best friends and my daughter. >> reporter: among those in
