12:14 pm
their very special gift givers that's coming up, katie? >> meisha, we look ahead already to an upcoming weekends, at this point, there is a pretty strong possibility that we're going to have a system in the vicinity of the greater northeast. so, there are still question marks that remain, but there is pretty good chance at least as it currently stands that we see some rain saturday. and it does turn colder by sunday. cold enough that if some moisture wraps around, we could see some snowflakes. but again, it is still very early, in the meantime, we will warm up before this gets here. i'll let you know that coming up.
12:17 pm
what's it look like. >> i didn't go out either. >> you know what? it is too miserable. it is so gross outside. i'm not trying to deter you from going outside, but when we got in the building this morning it was raining, and it rained most of the morning. >> like a cave in here. >> smashing pumpkins. >> still, all right, anyway, we digress, let's look what's going on out there. really dreary start to the afternoon, the good news again though the rain has basically wrapped up for most of us, it is still a little drizzly, little rainy out toward parts of new jersey, which we will get to in the radar, but live look from "skycam 3" overlooking center city. yes, even some of the skyscrapers are at this point skewed by the low deck of that cloud cover. so, it is still little damp out there. but the rain has since stopped falling from the actual skies. that's good. it is helpful. let's look at storm scan one more time. little wiser zoom for you. you can see things starting to clear out little bit. it is tough to tell. appears as though things are
12:18 pm
really clearing out. do still have a lot of clouds here even though there are still few left over showers across new jersey, those are are wrapping up with time looking it zero at the wider zoom beyond this point, see high pressure building in for couple every days, then another front comes along, into the middle part of the week, but talking about it in the weaken watch, this possibility of new storm system, by the upcoming weekends. i want to preface this before we even put this graph mike motion by saying there will likely be changes to this forecast, but do you have plans coming up. our rahel will be running in a marathon, we have stuff going on. yes, stuff going on this weekend. here is the current thinking. i think there will be a storm system t looks like pretty large one. cold front come through saturday. followed up by colder air tracking sunday. this is one model run. okay? so it is not a guarantee. but it does appear as though this will be moving in as early as late friday, into early saturday bringing in specially rain saturday, but then behind it, sunday it, will likely be turning colder. is it going to actually bring in some snow showers? that's the question mark. but it will likely be cold
12:19 pm
enough that it could support that. again, there will very likely be changes to this, as the week progresses, so stick with us on that, meantime though we take a look at the current temperature readings low to mid 40's, across moist of the region, chilly upper 30's mount pocono right now. down at the shore, do you have more of northwest wind flow, not sure cape may or stone harbor not reporting but generally similar temperature profiles in those zones as well with the northwest wind. now, it is not a windy afternoon. but there also that chill in the air. when you look outside at beach patrol headquarters in margate , yes, not the kind of afternoon to be sitting on the shore line. very dreary view out here, as will as it is in the city, as well as the western suburbs, really no one is seeing that sun penetrate through the clouds just yet. it likely will before the sun goes down. it may be few more hours. so yes, don't expect too much more than this. we were held back in the low to mid 40's at best as we showed you in the temperature map, at best this afternoon up to 47 degrees, little chilly obviously. later tonight because we didn't rebound too far we drop off just as easily, under
12:20 pm
generally clearing sky. we drop it all the way to 36 degrees. it is cents another pretty cold night for us. even for the standards at this time of the year. looking forward, hey, look at this, we start to moderate up. doesn't last long, kind of sandwich forecast with highs in the four's at best both monday and friday but do rebounds wednesday and thursday, wednesday night, into thursday, i think we do have another chance to see couple of scattered showers move in. and then again come this weekend, all eyes on that next storm system. so, many more questions there, we'll answer them as we get closer. i don't want to guarantee anything yet, just too far. >> here's hoping, kate. >> i well, there is cents no doubt that organs transplant saves lives. >> today's love it meisha shows us unfortunate people who received the gift of life from strangers, smear. >> yes, hospital in san antonio, texas did something really special recently. it hosed an event that brought hundreds of transplant families together in the same room, with the donors, who had saved their lives. many of whom they had never met. here's a peak inside. >> the big moment of the night was when two bone marrow
12:21 pm
brother finally came face-to-face in a long awaited and very special moment. understandably, most kids who need life saving transplants don't look back on their time in the hospital with ton necessary. but that isn't necessarily the case with luke mccormick who was finally able to to meet the bone marrow donor that saved him respect austin rains , a moment that was three years in the making. >> to meet him, butterflies, i was cents nervous, i didn't eat anything. luke is like this is my brother. he's part of my family now. it kind of puts back humanity, someone is willing to give you life and give themselves to you. >> luke and austin weren't the only new families gathered in united at this life changing event, however. there were hundreds more. as all their stories and messages spread, they're all hoping for one thing, that their extended transplant families continue to get bigger and bigger. >> you have the opportunity to change someone's life.
12:22 pm
and it makes you think, you know, that you're just one human in the world, and there is another human in the world, and now we're connected for life. so it is an awesome opportunity to be able to get behind that. >> finally having a chance to meet some of these guys. awesome opportunity indeed. luke also saved his sister's life he too shares, luckily, luke's youngest brother was cents a perfect bone marrow match. that ended up saving her life, as well. >> you know, we talk about these stories all the time. we hear about donors all the time. sometimes when you really break it down and think about complete stranger, cutting open their body, handing them an organ, of their body, just to save someone else's life. it is -- >> absolutely is life saving, wrap your head around that, just incredible. so what's austin the don or says? anybody can do this, anyone can register to be a match. he says it is one of the most humble rewarding experiences
